(S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - White Cornerback - 02-09-2019 WRITTEN: With the NFL Super Bowl just taking place, and being a couple weeks removed from The NSFL's Ultimus, write at least 200 words about your Championship aspirations. What will you do? How will the parade be? Who would be there to celebrate with you? Etc. Being honest with you, It's great that we've somehow stormed out to an incredible 3-1 lead despite being realistic NSFL basement dwellers before the season begun. But do I think we can win a championship? Yes. This season? No. I think any chance Yellowknife has of winning an Ultimus will be a few seasons after Lavelle has retired (which is either this or next season, #JOURNEYTO600TPE) because the core isn't quite all there yet. We've had incredible drafts and pickups in the last few years which have by in large bolstered our squad but really around S15/S16/S17 is when I see it all coming together. I wouldn't say that I have any championship aspirations, I've already won one more than was ever expected from this snowy canadian outfit that nobody ever really gave a damn about from the offset, (OFFSET, MONSTA'S GON TEAR IT UP). I guess to answer the question, I don't have any Ultimus aspirations but if I did... at this point in Lavelles career , It wouldn't be all that much. Maybe a generic trope of visiting Disney Land or the signature confetti drops from the top of the stadium while the crowds flood the field in excitement. Maybe enjoying the occasion for what it's more than anything else extravagant. (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - infinitempg - 02-09-2019 Anyone who was watched the NSFL over it's short history knows about the historic futility of the Colorado Yeti - so a Yeti Ultimus win might make the city of Denver (and the whole state of Colorado) explode into a championship fervor. There will probably be a huge parade through downtown Denver with all the players (myself included) and hundreds of thousands of fans lined up to see us. Beer will be chugged, songs will be sung, and that moment will probably be remembered forever for everyone involved. To be honest, I would look forward more for the parade than the championship ring ceremony if we ever win the big one. The ceremony will probably be pretty fun, but being out there with not only your teammates but the fans who have been through thick and thin for this team, rebuild after rebuild, and 32 straight lost games will be the most satisfying part of it all. It's definitely hurt watching all the other teams (except San Jose I guess, but they haven't suffered quite the same way we have) have their parades and celebrations. Arizona has done it three times. Orange County has done it four, and their fans aren't even tired of it. But I think the enthusiasm from both us players and the fans will make the future Colorado parade one of the best to ever happen. Watching the Super Bowl last week, L'Alto noticed that Robert Craft, owner of the New England Patriots seemed to be wearing his Super Bowl rings as cuff links and thought to himself, "Wow, now that's a level of snobby that I can aspire to". And suddenly, he had a new motivation. L'Alto only needs one more championship to unlock the "cuff link level", but with potentially another 4-5 seasons left in him and on a team that's built to win now, who's to say that he won't achieve "button down shirt level" of snobbery? This would be a dream of epic proportions, and yet, where he is now in his career (making pro bowl every season), there is hardly a Tight End talent more worthy of such lofty ambitions. Set to hit free agency after this season, Verso L'Alto now firmly controls his own championship earning potential. It's not like Taylor thought the Yellowknife Wraiths would be on top of the world forever, but he didn't celebrate as hard as he should have and he didn't thank the right people. Because he blinked his eyes and all of a sudden, here he is as a regressing vet in season 13 and the Yellowknife Wraiths haven't had much playoff success since that very special S13 moment. Now it's not to say that Yellowknife will never bring the trophy home ever again, we are looking young and strong in most of the right places, but the question is whether they will be able to accomplish it again in Cameron Taylor's career. If they do get the trophy one more time in his career, you'd better believe that Cameron Taylor will celebrate the right way this time. You'd better believe the GMs are #1 on the thank you list. They've trusted him and paid him a lot of money to have fun and play football. Otherwise, once he gets his hands around the trophy again, he will retire and ride off into the sunset back to southern Canada. 203 (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - DeathOnReddit - 02-09-2019 If the Arizona Outlaws win the ultimus once again it will be incredible because it will have been 10 seasons since their final ultimus victory. For me it would be really awesome because i could trash talk for the rest of my sim league career without caring because 5 time champ mayne. I could bully adwyer because I would have more rings as an outlaw then him, and just more rings in total. Loser. Of course I would need 1 more to have the most rings as a user in the entire sim league, but it would be very difficult without a QB. You never know what could happen though. One thing I do promise you though, is we're more likely to win another ultimus without kolbe than the sabercats are to win a playoff game ever. In fact, i'm more likely to re-sign tim pest as our head coacher than they are to actually win a playoff game. I'm bullying the sabercats because I dislike them. I dislike them because they're the sabercats what else do i need to roast em. As for our parade it would be really awesome, with lots of people im sure, and also lots of champaigne im sure. (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - maxcrazy - 02-09-2019 Moore can't wait to have a parade in Phoenix when the Outlaws finally win the Ultimus. They have been doubted for so long, and had their shares of struggles, like when their Quarterback got unexpectedly hurt and had to leave the game forever. These guys work their asses off day in and day out to win this thing, and Moore knows that there time is coming soon. And he can't wait to look into the eyes of every single person whoever doubted him and his team, and let them know that they were wrong and this team was able to achieve greatness. He just knows the people in Phoenix have been drooling over the idea of the trophy coming up to the city where it rightfully belongs. There will be parties, and the city will be shut down for a day as everyone comes out the players and they have a big parade down the middle of the city. Tickertape coming down from the office buildings, and just a sense of pride and excitement filling the air. It's been something Moore has been dreaming about forever now, and to think that it's well in his grasp is just something he can't wait for. I am lucky to be a part of a team that is on the cusp of the next level. Once we are crowned champions, I intend to live a life of luxury. Born and raised in Massachusetts, I am no stranger to championship parades. I have seen more parades in my lifetime than some families in certain parts of this country. I was blessed to be born where I was, and I want to carry those winning ways over to the DSFL and eventually NSFL. I hope to be able to meet the ultimate champion, Tom Brady, and have him give me a few pointers. I feel like once we win, that’s the least the team could do for me before I graduate to the NSFL. The only other QB I can think of in professional football that did as well as Brady would have to be Mike Boss with the Otters. As fate would have it, I find myself on the Otters and can talk to the best of the best the NSFL has ever seen. When I become a champion, I’m going to work harder to do it all over again. |
