2) SPOTLIGHT ON THE YOUTH
When you look at the youth of the Yeti, you can't help but look at the young cornerbacks Axel Hornbacher and Beau Montgomery. The young duo joined the squad and almost immediately stepped into starting roles for the team and helped them to a playoff berth. The interesting thing is that both men started off at other positions and found themselves thrust into new roles; Hornbacher started off as a safety and transitioned to cornerback while Montgomery was a linebacker who made the move to DB. Colorado may have got some dumb luck when they snagged these two players but it makes the management look like geniuses right now as they chase an Ultimus or two. The brightest star on the other side of the ball for the Yeti is James Bishop, an electric wideout who's ceiling has no limits. Bishop will be looked to as he tries to replace a retiring Howard Miller and the young man's shoulders will have to be wide to carry that burden. Trying to contain a player like Bishop in practices is great for Hornbacher and Montgomery as they learn how to shut down the best from one of the best. The young DBs are a large part of this team and fans should be excited.

Written: Write 200 words on your team and either why they should be looked at as Ultimus champions this season, or if your team has been eliminated, next year, or the year after for those non-believers.

The New Orleans Second Line was not a team that was competing for the Ultimus this season. I don’t think anyone really expected they would be, so no surprise there. With what we saw this season, I don’t think they’ll be a realistic pick for the Ultimus next season, but I do think they have some things to look forward to next season. The biggest one should be an improved defensive line. They already have one of the best defensive ends in the league in Lo Rax. I would expect more of the same from him next season. Then you have the continued development of Grayson Kuusela at DE and Benson Harris at DT. These two young linemen should be able to contribute more with another season of development and are an important part of this teams future. The other guy I will be looking at is Tyler Swift. Swift showed flashes of the talent he showed in San Antonio. Like their young D-line, Swift will have another season of experience under his belt and should put together an even better sophomore season. A solid improvement in these two areas doesn’t make New Orleans a favorite for the Ultimus, but it does put them in a position to be more competitive next season.

1) IT IS OUR TIME THIS (NEXT) YEAR - Can be completed anytime
New Orleans Second Line is going to be the team to watch out for next season. Now, obviously, this team has really had some setbacks losing Schneider to Free Agency, but this team has a lot to like. When you look at guys like Tyler Swift, Benson Harris, Grayson Kuusela, Aksel Danielsson, Lo Rax, and some of the veterans that this team has like Borkus Maximus and Vladimir Fyodorovich, this team is going to be a team to watch. They have some great young players and with a top 5 pick, they will just continue to get better. They will obviously have to deal with the other people in the division such as the Otters and Saber kittens as those teams are still going to be around there. If they were in the other conference, they would make the playoffs every season. However, this is not something to think about or dwell on. This is going to be something to focus on and work towards. The New Orleans Second Line is a team that will definitely be feared sooner than later. The players they have with leadership and young promise. There is a lot of pull for Free Agents as well.

3) PRE-GAME or...POST-GAME - Can be completed before or after based on choice.
I will be covering the game between the Orange County Otters and the San Jose SaberCats. This game was played in San Jose, the SaberCats were excited to get going and finally get into a game where they can win the championship. However, it was another collapse from the SaberCats. They were taken down by the Otters by a score of 31-21 which surprised everyone, even the NSFL faithful. Ricky Adams was the stud for the Otters which ran and caught balls to the demise of the SaberCats. He had 11 carries for 39 yards and 6 catches for 101 in the air with 2 total touchdowns. Showbiz also had 0 INTs which is the key, they needed to not turn the ball over. The SaberCats were the only team that had a turnover as Christ threw a pick. Oles tried to keep SaberCats in it, but his 105 yards just was not enough. They went away from the run for some reason as well as Canton only had 16 attempts. They should have ground and pounded, something that was successful. Them going away from it was surprising. Andre Bly had a great game for the Otters with 2 PD. It was Troyski for the Cats that had 3 of their own.

4) QUARTERBACK MATCHUP - Can be completed anytime
I will go over the Ultimus Game matchup of Quarterbacks between Micycle McCormick and Gus Showbiz. In this game, it was a game where McCormick would throw the ball 54 times, that is right, 54 times. He threw 12 balls to V L'Alto as well as 11 to Alvin Chipmunk. Howard Miller was likely going to be the guy that was supposed to be challenged with catches, but he only had 7. McCormick had 36 completions for those 54 attempts, something that should really be noted. McCormick also had 1 Interception to the hands of Mark Spector. Spector would make the most of that opportunity. However, to throw the ball 54 times with only 1 Interception, that is pretty good. Showbiz on the other side was 22 of 36 for 247 yards and 2 touchdowns, but also had 2 interceptions. It was Desta Danger and Mike Tillman who came up with the interceptions for the Yeti. It feels really weird saying the Yeti in the Championship. Also, McCormick was the leading rusher for the Yeti with 7 attempts for 26 yards which is a 3.7 average. I think that it is important to remember that. Showbiz had 5 catches for 91 yards and was his favorite target.

5) Going to Disneyland!:Who was the Ultimus MVP? Give us a rundown of their celebratory trip to Disneyland. (Can be completed after the Ultimus game)
There were a few guys in the Ultimas Game that deserved some credit for the way that they played. The first is going to be the running back Ricky Adams. He had 12 rushes for a total of 49 yards which is an average of 4.1 per carry with the longest being 9. Adams also had 5 catches which totaled 91 yards for a 18.2 average and 1 touchdown. Sunnycursed had 3 catches for a total of 61 yards which is an amazing 20.3 yards per catch. It was Carlito Crush, however, that had the other touchdown through the air. On defense, it was M Brown who was the stud as he had 13 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 pass deflections. That is absolutely amazing for a player like Brown to come up with a game like that. You look for big game performances, how about that one? That is an absolute game to remember, but Andre Bly Jr also had 5 tackles, 2 pass deflections. Broxton had 3 pass deflections. There were a lot of guys that had great games, but if I had to choose one for the MVP it would have to be M Brown as he had the real game to remember.

So, most people give this to actual people but not me. The Luchadores' unsung hero for their championship run definitely was their drink sponsor that kept the team going throughout the season:

1) My choice would be for the Yellowknife Wraiths of course they are going to win next year. They only managed to get 4 wins & didn’t qualify for the playoffs but they can only get better from here. The Yellowknife Wraiths have a very young core compared to most teams & they are only getting better from here, they also have a great veteran presence & they have been laying heavily on them to produce. However with some of the younger players improving & adding new pieces to this team I can see them for sure making the playoffs next season & qualifying right to the finals. I can even see them taking it home. Sure this is biased but they are due for a good cup run & the amount of work they have put in so far they deserve it. There has been some management changes in the Wraiths organization but it has been smoothly & all of the players are happy with the direction of the club. I think if they are able to get some key players in this upcoming draft I could even go this far & say next season won’t be the only season they make the playoffs & finals I think next year is just the beginning.

1) IT IS OUR TIME THIS (NEXT) YEAR

The San Jose SaberCats had the most dominant performance in the Season 13 regular season campaign. Leading the League across the board, with an offense headed up by the highest-rated passer in Joliet Christ, a running back in Jerrod Canton who was a star from his rookie campaign on tag-teamed with Chris Orosz, no fewer than three solid receiving options (Xavier Flash, Kazimir Oles and Zapp Brannigan), a defense boasting solid performers at the least in all three levels (D'Pez Poopsie, Freezer Riposte, Chad and Thad Pennington, Ben Horne, yours truly) and an active kicker in Neo Donaldson, there was every reason to believe this was finally the season they pulled it off and brought the franchise home its first Ultimus. At 12-2, with home-field advantage guaranteed for the ASFC Championship and, if victorious, the Ultimus, the stars aligned.

Only a brick wall could stop us.

Its name is the Orange County Otters.

Despite another soul-rending loss, the vast majority of the core from the past two seasons returns improved with the highest team TPE in the League. Ben Horne's departure for Baltimore certainly hurts in the linebacking corps, though that still leaves several key players to contend next season and almost all of whom still won't hit regression for a few more seasons. The window remains open for the SaberCats to re-rack and try again next campaign and hopefully, get past those damned Otters.

5) ENEMIES HAPPEN

I can appreciate and respect players who perform well in the League. I can tolerate personalities who think highly of themselves. Lots of fans live for the thrill of hating the other guy's guts. There is one personality above them all who is the definition of the player I love to hate.

I refer to Marquise Brown, who this past season, was the feature running back for the Philadelphia Liberty. The first player I think of who is the first to stand on the pedestal and soak in all the glory in victory, but as soon as the club struggles or loses, points the blame elsewhere, even if he looked like he greased his hands.

Though deserving of some credit as the Liberty's bellcow, going for the second-most rushing yards in the League and the most rushing touchdowns, the way he goes about it makes it sound as though he put the team on his back. Quarterback Adriana Falconi deserves at least as much notability on that offense as the second-highest rated passer in the League and who has been much more gracious in helping to operate a balanced offense.

Since the season has ended, Brown has not seen things this way at all and has picked up everything to go to Baltimore just when the Liberty were getting to a point where they themselves were some key defensive pieces away from being clear-cut favorites, if not closer rivals to contending to go to the Ultimus. Don't fumble the pen before the ink dries, buddy.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE YOUTH

For this year, in the DSFL playoffs, Fast Boija was the player to watch. Fast Boija, probably the MVP this season, is going to start for the first time in a playoffs game. Even if he’s not a rookie, he never had the chance to play in the playoffs so we are going to see how well he can play while having a lot more pressure. Fast Boija was given the ball so much but his stats are still incredible. He average 4.4 yards per carry which is great and broke the record for most rushing yards in a season. After 14 games, the Tijuana Luchadores can now be prepare for their game. They will be a lot more physical on Fast Boija. If the Marshals running back get stopped then I think their season would be over. They just need to focus on stopping because the marshals offense only relies on their running back and there’s a chance that Fast Boija could be tired and the pressure will get to him. He is the player for the Marshals that control the pace of the game. If he can’t keeps the ball too long than you’re giving the Luchadores the chance to score. If he keeps his composure then I believe the San Antonio Marshals will win the championship.

PRE-GAME or...POST-GAME

In the SFC, we had a fierce battle between the Luchadores and the Marshals. These two teams have been strong all season long but the San Antonio Marshals are the favorite to win the cup but Tijuana were able to demolish them. The game wasn’t close which was surprising. We would never thought that Luchadores would expose the best team in the league. Corvo Havran was unstoppable. He was able to beat the best defense in the league without much problem. Then they were able to figure it out how to stop Fast Boija. They made him look a rookie during the game. Zoro Roronoa, with less carries, was much more better than him. They knew the formula, stop Fast Boija and their offense is non-existent because they are going to stop giving the ball to their running back which is a problem for the Marshals. They don’t have any wide receivers for Zenyou Wozy so he turned over the balls three times and they were able to get touchdown from it. I’m not sure why San Antonio was bad. I guess the Tijuana Luchadores had a lot more motivation to win this game and putted much more work. Right now, the Luchadores looks to be the team to win the cup.

Sit down with a fan:

1. How does it feel to be back in the Ultimus again in your second year?

Feels like just another day at the office, honestly. 3 years since being drafted, 3 championships. I'm a winner, plain and simple. So yeah its great, but thats an expectation from me to win it all at this point

2. You're the youngest member in a very talented group of wideouts. Does it frustrate you to end up being the third or fourth option some times?

Yeah i'm not gonna lie, it definitely bothers me. I feel like i'm really talented and deserve a bigger shot. But my time is coming soon. The team told me i'm the #1 guy this offseason, so i'm going for the league lead in receiving yards

3. How do you plan to attack the young but talented Yeti secondary in the Ultimus?

Literally. I brought a knife. Is that allowed in the Ultimus? I guess i'll find out

4. If you could get re-drafted, what teams would you want to be part of?

I really liked the pitches I got on draft day from Baltimore and Arizona. As teams that my idol Stormblessed played for, I was very excited to go there, but in the end the Otters was a great place to end up as well
