James Bishop has gone through some new trainers this off-season. Not only did he bulk up for this season he had to be able to keep up his speed for longer. James made significant improvements to prepare for the upcoming season. Howard Miller is going to retire at the end of the season so Bishop has to step up. To help the Yeti brought in Arizona Wide Receiver Viggo Squanch. At this point it is not clear who would take over the number 1 wide receiver position but they both will give it their all. So Bishop has given himself to training and putting on strength to legally push off the corners covering him. This is the year to prove himself worthy and he needs to battle his own teammate and other defenses.

Ben Bortboy, running back for the Palm Beach Solar Bears, has been spending his time during the offseason eating Cool Ranch Doritos. He has done nothing for the last 2 weeks besides eating Cool Ranch Doritos. He has not slept. He has not used the bathroom. Ben is not sure if he is in Hell or purgatory. He deeply wishes to stop consuming Doritos, but he physically can’t stop. He is in pain. He does not know what he did to deserve this terrible fate. Each bite from a handful of Cool Ranch Doritos makes his entire body shake with fatigue and artificial flavoring. Please help.

Errol Maddox is excited to get started on his 3rd NSFL season. After a rough season last year, the Hawks loaded up over the offseason and are ready to be top contenders again. Individually, Maddox mainly focused on building up his Endurance over the offseason. However, he is soon going to start working on rounding out his game and building up his Strength and Agility as well to become a more complete receiver. He had a strong second half of the season last year and is looking to build on that this season and become one of the league's top wide receivers. The Hawks are looking to make a championship push this season and Maddox hopes to play an important part in that.

I'm heated. I was absolutely disgraced in the DSFL draft. 53 other players were drafted before me! And I am better than every one of them. I will prove to every general manager that I should have gone number 1 overall. I've been hitting the gym and hitting the tackling dummies. When you're a defensive end, lower body strength is very important. I've been doing those squats, been doing those leg presses. But it hasn't all been strength training. I've been sure to keep my stamina up by doing a lot of running. You can never neglect your cardio. Only fools do that

For the first time in Ben Horne’s NSFL career, he is on a new squad, after requesting a trade from San Jose to Baltimore to follow his coach Icy Douglas, post being franchise tagged. With this new squad, comes Ben playing back at his original position, linebacker, allowing Ben to be confident in his play yet again. And Ben has his eyes set on not only getting a ring, but finally getting a player of the year award. Because of this Ben has been focused purely on his endurance, and relying on the linebacker fundamentals he has had for some time.

Tommy Helanen is training like crazy; he lifts weights in the gym every morning, followed by some stretches to improve flexibility, a cardio routine that relies heavily on high intensity interval training, and then leg workouts to make sure his physique is perfect in all regards. He stays on a high protein diet primarily of lean meat and regularly drinks protein shakes to make sure his diet is also contributing to his physique; he stays away from junk food. In the afternoons, he heads to the field and runs drills, practicing plays. His coach gives him advice and throws passes to him some he can practice snaring footballs from the air.

Danny Grithead is doing it all this offseason. The Orange County Otters won their second straight Ultimus last season but Grithead isn't satisfied and ready to call it quits yet. No, Grithead knows that this Otters team can do something really special and join the Season 4, Season 5, and Season 6 Otters as true legends by completing a 3-peat of Ultimus victories. Grithead has been hitting the gym every single day twice a day. He is lifting weights, running sprints, and getting stronger and faster. He is ready to lay out the boom this season and hopefully force some fumbles and also pick off some more passes. His agility is all maxed out and pretty much every other attribute. Grithead's stamina and endurance is all that is left to upgrade and even that has finally gotten up to a sufficiently strong level. Look for the Otters to continue to compete while other teams look to challenge and meet the Otters new standard of excellence.

There's no if, ands, or buts about it, my body is getting older. It's getting harder and harder to keep up with these youngins, so I have to train extra hard and make sure I'm treating my body right. I've been eating a lot healthier and working on my pliability this offseason and I'm hoping it pays off. Am I a bit slower? Sure. Am I a bit more tired? Sure. But my arm is still at the top of its game and I think that this team is good enough to go all the way once again. It's just a question of how long I can keep playing...

Lo Rax, entering his fifth season, is a player who has officially hit "vet status" in the league, especially considering his three straight pro-bowl bids in seasons 11-13. Not to say he wasn't progressing that whole time, but now, his game is nearly as refined as it will likely ever be. Speed, strength, agility, intelligence, and even hands- all maxed out considering his physical limitations.

So what's left to improve? Tackling technique, the fundamentals. They're something you can never drill enough, and Rax is still spending extra time after workouts hitting the tackling dummy. It's not just that- he's working on learning the latest techniques to bring down ball carries, aussie style football rules style, for example. One missed tackle during the season is too many, and if Rax wants to keep his run of pro-bowl seasons going, he's got to stay in the zone, and keep improving. So, tackling dummies in the NOLA facility: beware. Rax is coming for you, baby.

Freezer Riposte is already as strong, smart, agile, and speedy as some arbitrary guidelines he set for himself in his head allow him to become. Therefore, he'll be working on two remaining important areas that he has yet to reach the arbitrary limits of. The first is in his tackling technique. He has previously gone with giving the opponents a big bear hug and just trying to use his strength to stop them in their tracks. With improved technique, he may actually be able to bring people down without embarrassing himself. The other area to be improved is his ability to stay on the field. He has gotten tired a little too easily in the past, which is probably a side effect of playing like 4 games in a week most of the time. Soon he hopes to be able to do that without breaking a sweat.
