(S14) PT 4 - Cameo - CalvinP - 04-21-2019
Logan Uchiha has gotten a few offers to Cameo in quite a few sitcoms and movies since his meteoric rise as a DSFL stand out. Unfortunately his schedule, as previously noted, is often too full everyday to even fulfill a walk on role; when he commits to something he wants to put his all into it and half assed bad acting won't do, but his agent may have worked something out for his fans. Viz Media contacted Logan and his agent prior to the season and asked if he was willing to do a voiceover role for a villian in a major upcoming anime of theirs. The recordings would take place in a mobile recording studio during workouts and before/after games to really capture the intensity of the character. The script was for a villian given a chance to be paid handsomely by the government to help fight a much greater evil, instead he decides to help the greater evil as he sees himself as a monster too.
As of right now on major streaming platforms we're proud to announce Logan Uchiha will and has been lending his voice to Viz Media to play the character Garou 'The Human Monster' in the popular anime 'One Punch Man' season 2.

Franklin Armstrong is not much for the spotlight. Generally quiet and reserved, he has not even taking on any of the small endorsement opportunities here in Portland, after the Pythons are sitting pretty as the 2nd best DSFL team in the nation, and taking advantage of this hopefully long lasting bout of popularity. Many say Armstrong is the front runner for the DSFL Quarterback of the Year award, and in contention for Offensive Rookie of the Year as well as Offensive Player of the Year awards. In the weekend presser before the DSFL conference championship of the year awards, Armstrong was asked “ Your player is more than just an athlete, they are a brand. You want to expand your brand and what better way to do it but by making a cameo appearance on a movie or show. Which show would you star in?”. Armstrong laughed and shook his head. “I don’t really watch TV or movies at all. I do really like streaming services and I’ve watched a lot of the big name shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men and so on. Would I really like to make a ‘cameo’ in such great shows like those? Well, first off they’ve been long completed, and second of all, cameos are cartoonish. I don’t know how to act and I’m not comfortable in front of cameras. Why would I embarrass myself and/or ruin the show? I would make a cameo in a talk show perhaps. Maybe on DSFL’s Mic’d Up, or on a random DSFL network show but nah, no movies or TV for me ever” said Armstrong with a laugh.
There you have it, don’t expect to see Armstrong in an endorsement commercial, let alone your favourite movie or TV show! (294 words)

Ricardo Morris is a big fan of that show that was on HGTV growing up about the people who would go to homes and redecorate them. Extreme home makeover or something. Basically the premise is a family with a serious condition or medical issue or poverty is given a free complete home renovation. Like the old house is torn down and a new one built in like 7 days or 14 days. Ricardo is a big fan of those types of feel good shows, so he has volunteered his time to help with the tear down and construction project on set for an episode in Norfolk. He doesn’t really care which episode, but he’s pretty handy with some tools and machinery so he imagines that he’ll mainly be working on the construction side of the team and less on the home interior design side of the team. He’s offered specifically to help with heavy moving and lifting and the show runners have already planned one of those gag shots where 3 or 4 guys are trying to move some wood or a couch and Ricardo goes up and single handily takes over for them and one of the main crew looks at the camera like “wow”. It should be a lot of fun and a good cause for Ricardo. If it’s still airing.

An aspiring actor is not something Vander Jones has ever aspired to be. Would that mean he would say no to a cameo? No! There are a lot of TV shows or movies that he would love to make or have made a cameo in and maybe one day he will be afforded the opportunity when his personality gets shown more to the world. Just speaking on TV shows, Jones would have loved to make a cameo along side the three pot smoking Workaholics known as Blake, Adam, and Ders. Jones idea would be a drug dealing apprentice of Blake, Adam, and Ders favorite drug deal Karl aka The Human Genius. Jones would follow around Karl as he tough him life lessons and drug lessons before eventually getting lost on a train and never to be seen or heard from again.
The other TV show that Jones would love to make a cameo in would be Impractical Jokers. You don't really need acting chops to be in this one as it is all about doing what your told to do in public. It's a hilarious show and Jones watches it weekly.
Finally if Jones were to cameo in a movie it would undoubtedly be in the Star Wars franchise. However he would enjoy playing an alien creature of some sort. He would not have any lines but he would be noticed on screen maybe bumping into a main character and yelling at them in their native alien speak.

Aside from sports, Cameron Taylor has many passions. As his career winds down to a close, he's had more and more free time to explore what really make him happy. Recently, in the short Yellowknife growing season, Cameron has really explored aquaponics, the pass time of breeding fish and vegetation at the same time. There's nothing more rewarding that growing your own food, especially in the great white north where there's a scarcity of farming and fresh produce. Cameron would love for a home and gardening show to come and do a little feature on gardening in the snow. Even better, The Food Network could be great too, what would be better than a cooking show featuring talapia and fresh greens grown in Taylor's basement. There are so many possibilities there. Not to mention, Cameron is a pretty good cook too, so why not just make him the star of the show?
Otherwise, given Cameron Bio engineering degree from the University of Michigan, it would be really fun to also play a lab tech in a show like NCIS, CSI, or Criminal Minds. Firstly, shows like that almost make science cool, and Cameron being there would help for realism. You know those cheesy science scenes where the case is solved because of fudgey science? Well Cameron could be a consultant for the show's writers to determine plausibility of certain scenes.

Cooter Bigsby loves trashy TV, and trashy women. So nothing sounded better for Cooter than an offseason being on trashy TV with trashy women. He decided to take part in a reality show where Cooter would have to decide among a group of 20 of the finest trailer trash that America had to offer which ones would move on in the show and eventually because the future Ex Mrs. Bigsby. They called it "Bachelor Bigsby". It started off like most shows, with a wet T-shirt contest, where Cooter would eliminate the first 2 of the starting 20. Wait, that's not how most of the shows start? Well they should, cause that would be fucking awesome. So anyways he sends away a couple floosies and then he has to start, y'know, talking to them and shit. And going on these weird ass dates. But at night when the Wild Turkey started flowing that's when things started getting nasty in the hot tub. By episode 5 you could probably get pregnant just sitting in that hot tub. I got off topic, or did I? Anyways come the end of the season Cooter ends up picking Tami-Jo-Lynn and they go off to elope in Vegas before she woke up the next morning to Cooter passed out in a bathtub with her sister. Guess there's room for a season two now.

Johnny Blaze has recently been seen with musical artist and entertainer Snoop Dogg, making a cameo in his newest song and music video named after him. While the Snoop Dogg song has been rising up the charts, Blaze has gotten some exposure that he has never experience before. Snoop Dogg has a history of collaborating with California athletes, Blaze is just happy to be good enough to be considered. Johnny was able to take a moment and comment:
“I grew up listening to his music, and to have the chance to finally hang out with Snoop is a dream come true. I had no idea that he was writing a song named after me. It wasn’t until my friends started texting me and my social media started blowing up before I realized he released the song. That night his manager reached out to my manager, and that next morning we shot the music video. A couple of days later, we’re all over social media and the radio. People are saying Snoop and Blaze is the combination that is going to give Snoop Dogg a career rejuvenation. I’m not gonna say that, but I will say that I can see a lot of cross promotion in our future” said Blaze.

There’s not much more to life that Marquees Acho loves than women and murder (that last one is alleged, of course), so there is not better show for Acho to appear on than Game of Thrones. As many fans know, this is the final season for the show. However, Game of Thrones is too popular to just let die in today’s world, so Acho will be appearing as a minor character in a prequel, set 50 years before the timeline of the main show. Acho will be apart of 2 episodes, as a steward to a major house. Many of the leading actors and actresses have already commended Acho’s acting. Acho is definitely someone who likes to be the center of attention. Tom Holland, the actor of a young Tywin Lannister, has particularly glowing reviews: “Acho has been a great man to work withon set.” Holland said. “It’s almost as if sleeping around and killing isn’t new to him”, he laughed.
It’s yet to be known if this is a one off appearance for the young linebacker, who has DSFL playoffs coming up, along with a promising NSFL career. When asked if he will consider acting in the future, Acho was non-committal:
“Well anything is possible after my career. But for now, I’m focusing on becoming as good as I can for my team. It was a great experience though.”

Recently, Micycle McCormick has been spotted on the set of the next season of Cosmos, the famous astronomy/science show hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson. A little known fact about McCormick, the star quarterback for the Colorado Yeti, is that he also has a Masters of Science degree in astrophysics from Rutgers University and is planning on going back to Rutgers when he retires to finish up his PhD. The rumors for now about his appearance on the popular science show seem to aim at an episode about human evolution and physiology, and how humanity managed to become so uniquely versatile as a biped mammal. Some leaks showed clips of him throwing a football to Dr. Tyson.
What CAN be confirmed is that Micycle is slated to appear as a guest on Dr. Tyson's famed podcast/TV show, Star Talk during the offseason. The episode, which has already been taped, has the title, "Sports and Science: Enjoying Both!". Dr. Tyson, while obviously having his PhD and being the director of the Hayden Planetarium, was also a great wrestler in high school and college, even lettering in his senior year at Harvard. The two are sure to discuss the challenges (and benefits) to having passions in both science and sports together!
