(S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - Fordhammer - 09-06-2019 If Nacho Varga could beat one record, it would definitely be receptions in a single season. Now, I am too lazy to actually look up what this record is, but I'm going to guess it's something around 100. In order for Nacho to break this record he would need to average around 8 catches a game, which is kind of insane. Breaking this record would probably tank the team as I can't imagine it being very efficient. Nacho Varga would not care about this, obviously. The team would have to come second when breaking this record, and Nacho would be fully on board, at least given the premise of this situation. Nacho would celebrate the breaking of the record by holding a press conference. In his speech he would gloat for a while, then guarantee he would break his own record next year. This would probably lead to him being cut, or at the very least, chided by his own team for his selfishness. Nacho would take this in stride, and he may or may not take back his guarantee later on in the season. Nacho would probably make a trophy or plaque for himself celebrating the award. He would make the actual reception amount removable so as to allow for easier change once he breaks the record again. (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - Duilio05 - 09-06-2019 As GM of the San Antonio Marshals, I am game planning to help my players break all of the records. Currently we have Louisiana Purchase gunning for the season interception record. The current record is held by Marshal alumni Vranos at 8. Purchase is currently at 5 with 6 games left, and he has had multiple 2 int games. We also have Parker who has a Punt and a Kick return TD. We think he could at least tie the Kick Return TD record that is held by a Python alumni. He has already broken the Marshal’s Team Kick Return Record, which is now 99 yards. We also Jim McMahon can break the Team Longest Pass in a Game, currently at 53 yards. Our star wide reciever Tyrone Biggums has a great chance of breaking the Team Season Record for TD receptions, currently sitting at 5 TDs the record is 6 TDs held by LaMelllana. As a team, we are attempting the most rushing yards in a season. The three previous seasons San Antonio lead the league in rushing yards, with each season showing an increase: 2938, 2941 and 3052 yards. This is the first season that we have two stellar active running backs in Mathias Hanyadi and Ruff Ruff. This San Antonio Team is really something special. (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - dizzyDC - 09-06-2019 Code: Written Option: Let’s set some records! If your player could set one NSFL or DSFL record, what would it be? It can be career, seasonal, or single game records. Write about what it would be, why you want to beat it, how you would beat it, and the feeling you would have with this feat! (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - Modern_Duke - 09-06-2019 As those who read my Secondary Measures media series should be aware, PDs and INTs are great and all, but are not the perfect measure for cornerback quality. Unfortunately, there is just no record of things like 'fewest receptions allowed' or 'lowest opposing QB rating'. Having said that, an interception is the ideal outcome on a given play for a cornerback. Therefore, the record that I would want Louisiana Purchase to break would be the DSFL single season interception mark. The record was set by Danny Vranos of the Marshals in Season 8 with 8. Purchase is currently sitting at 5 interceptions this season with 6 games to go. Purchase has had two multi interception games thus far, and another would put the record well in sight. Even still, I would say it is unlikely that Vranos is caught or even tied, as interceptions can be fluky. However, it has certainly been a thrill to watch the chase, and help the Marshals pick up a few wins along the way. Also, for what its worth, Purchase has contributed two forced fumble and fumble recoveries. So, while there is no record tracked for most takeaways, I would be thrilled to reach a double digit total for that and claim it as an unofficial record. (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - toivo - 09-06-2019 SHL PT (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - Frostbite - 09-07-2019 As a kicker in any football league, kicking records are something that are often overlooked and not cared for in the slightest. However, Baxter Frost wants to prove that kicking records are great to see broken. The longest kick record will be broken. In addition to crushing the longest kick record, Frost will also hold the record for the most kicks made record. The most accurate kicker record will be broken. All of the kicking records will be broken by one man with a giant leg. That man is Baxter Frost. He became the most accurate kicker in all of college, and he will do so in the DSFL and the NSFL. He will bask in the glory of kicking a 65 yard attempt to win the Ultimus for the team that drafted him. He will get the game ball in a defensive battle to a score of 15 to 14. Baxter Frost will play till he grows old and will retire at the crisp age of forty-six, successfully being the best kicker to ever play the game. He will make it into the Hall of Fame and the bust will look just like his leg, the best in the business. (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - Rublic - 09-07-2019 SHL PT #5 (S17) - PT2 - Record breaking - BroicSilence - 09-07-2019 The record I would want to break most of all would be the NSFL single game tackle record, which currently stands at twenty. There are a few reasons for this. For one, it does not seem like a completely outrageous number to be aiming for and I always like my goals to be attainable. Twenty tackles is surprisingly less than than the DSFL single game record of twenty-two. While I imagine this is partially due to tougher competition and more frequent passing, it still doesn’t seem like much of a stretch to say that could be within reach. Just two games ago in the DSFL I was able to put up eighteen tackles. If my team’s offense had spent just a few plays less with the ball then twenty would not be the least bit surprising. Perhaps more importantly though, I would want to break it because I love eye-popping tackle numbers and I think I would get the biggest rush and feeling of accomplishment. As a kid, I lost interest in football around my preteen years until for one reason or another I started paying a bit of attention to Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher. It was gritty, dominant defense that rekindled my love for football and I have more passion for it than any other aspect of the sport.
