(S17) - PT4 - Overturned - TomHanks - 09-22-2019 Oh man I know exactly which play I’d like to have overturned if I could. It’s still etched into my mind. Now I know when a lot of people think of the S14 DSFL playoffs, what comes to mind regarding me is the 96 yard touchdown I scored to knock the Marshals out of the playoffs, ending the Fab V’s reign of terror on the league. And don’t get me wrong, I love that moment, it was something else. But that only got us to the championship. It’s the Ultimini where I want a play overturned. The score is 20-13 for the Pythons and they have the ball. Armstrong is doing what Armstrong does best and marching down the field, passes it into the end zone, and scores a touchdown to give Portland a 27-13 lead with just the 4th quarter to play. We need a big spark from the team to give us any chance. So, we turned to our big play guy, who at the time was me. They kick the ball off and I do what I do best and start running. Blockers out in front, I had a lane and I was hitting it. With blazing speed I make it past the last defender, the away section of the stadium is going absolutely wild, our bench is going crazy, and then all of a sudden I trip. Fell down clear of anyone on the 1 yard line, and I don’t make it into the end zone. Sure, we scored the next play, but at that point it felt like the spark that was gonna carry us to the finish line died. (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - goodvsevil1275 - 09-22-2019 If I was able to overturn any decision in the NSFL, it would be my decision to create my player and then take another week to start doing tasks in the league. By waiting a week before doing anything, I lost out on a lot of TPE that I could have used to make my player better. Additionally, I would reverse Portland's selecting Trae Bacon with the eighth pick in the S17 DSFL Draft. While Bacon seemed like a great pick at the time, he went inactive just days after the draft, while players like Net Gaines, Thudd Kassel, and Zach Hall to name a few were taken afterwards. These players have all made a huge impact on their teams and picking up a player like Thudd Kassel would cause Tijuana to not get him. All of these players are significantly above Bacon's TPE count and none of them would stay in the DSFL for more than a year, meaning the Pythons wouldn't miss out on Bacon's presence at all. By selecting one of these players (who will become NSFL first round picks soon) Portland could have made a bigger impact on their defense and would set themselves up better for the DSFL playoffs. (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - Duilio05 - 09-22-2019 I would go back to Week 13 & overturn Baltimore Hawk's loss to New Orleans Second Line. With Chicago Butchers & Yellowknife Wraiths losing last week, Baltimore Hawk's would have home field advantage for the playoffs if we'd won. We probably lost because Dorfus Jimbo scored another rushing TD. So that needs to be turned over too. Replaying that game would also give a chance to finish the season with at least one interception. A win would also have kept our team from getting drunk and making a huge mess in downtown New Orleans where we almost got into multiple fights, and graffiti street alleys. And I blacked out for the rest of the night. So I have no idea what else might have happened while we were out terrorizing the locals of New Orlaeans all because we lost. Fortunately we crushed Chicago Butchers in the first playoff game, and now we head to Yellowknife Wraiths where the last time I watched Cooter Bigsby play in a game he threw a last second interception that cost the Season 14 San Antonio Marshals a perfect season. I have no doubt we are good enough to go into Yellowknife and win. It just would have been better to spend the night in my own bed. (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - SouljaBoy2007 - 09-22-2019 If I could overturn one thing in this league, I would overturn 3 things. Let me explain. Arizona had the best record in the league this season, but 3 of our 4 losses came to 3 of the 4 worst teams in the NSFL. The other loss came on the road to a team that went 8-5 so that one can stay. I think it's ridiculous that our only loss at home came to a team that was 2-4 on the road. Thank god there's no bad teams in the playoffs or Arizona would be screwed. If we actually won the games against bad teams, we would've gone 12-1 and wouldn't have to be sweating during a game against the lowly Liberty. I mean, we do have HFA throughout the playoffs so this change is merely cosmetic, but it's nice to be able to say you were part of a team that went 12-1. Another thing I would overturn is that the Vander Jones play never happened, it is just erased. Arizona still wins the S16 Ultimus but now people can't complain about sim bull[redacted]. The final thing I would overturn is the decision to have penalties, because they add more things for people to complain about and player safety is not an issue what with there being no injuries. (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - Mavfatha - 09-22-2019 I don't know for sure if this will count as I typed these last week but the SHL CW extended through this week and I used a fully completed PBE CW last week (not trying to double up or anything) so figured it was worth a shot (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - Eco - 09-22-2019 If I had the chance, I would definitely like to change the outcome of our the Week 13 game against the New Orleans Second Line. If we were to beat them, we would have had home field advantage against our division rivals. That obviously would be a huge deal since we are undefeated at home this season with six wins! It also gives us home field advantage agains the Orange County Otters if we were to face them for the Ultimus game. I still think that our chances for winning the Ultimus is still high but that game would have helped us a lot. We had three penalties in that game that were called against us, making us lose 25 yards total. Our opponent had zero penalties which is crazy because this was the only game they had without any penalties all season long! They average around 3 penalties for 20 yards per game! I just cannot believe that they were so careful and disciplined against us, this has to be a mistake made by the referees. I don't recall any particular position that I can point at however just looking at our opponents tendencies it is safe to say that the referees butchered that game for us. (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - JKortesi81 - 09-22-2019 If I could overturn a decision in the last NSFL season that really ended up making a huge difference, it would’ve been making sure head office stuck to their initial decision and had the games get simmed properly starting with Week 1 and making sure all players builds were correct. I can’t say too much here, but when head office initially called (correctly so) for a resim of Austin’s Week 1 game against New Orleans, we won the game. Originally, with our team incorrect in the sim, we lost that game. Then we won. It was glorious. And then people cried about their stats changing and some how, due to the court of the public whining, HO reverses the decision we made. Well, sure enough, Austin ended up 5-8 and missed the playoffs BY ONE GAME THAT WE SHOULD HAVE WON. It’s a shame to see an entire season needing to have an asterisk, but here we are. Now, I won’t say that I don’t understand why Head office went back on their decision, but the truth is that we should never have started and NSFL Season with so many players being wrong in the sim, and we should’ve started over. We wouldn’t have lost players or anything. Just saying, these playoffs could be looking a little different if we did the right thing. Shame. (225) (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - timeconsumer - 09-22-2019 How could I ever decide between two absolutely pivotal moments in NSFL history? First we have the infamous "Garden Drop" where Josh garden the Philly wide receiver dropped the game winning touchdown in the endzone in the final moments of the Ultimus game against the OC Otters for a turnover on downs and the end of the game. Next we have the "Hail Macky" where Arizona in a regular season matchup against NOLA went with a run to Mackworthy on 4th down late in the game for about a 4th and 15 run. Naturally Mackworthy didn't get there. If I had to choose one of these two plays to undo I'd probably have to go with the Hail Macky. While I respect putting the ball in the hands of a franchise legend for the final play of the game to try and win it all with a Touchdown I'm not sure that a run was the right call there. Just call up a passing route and pass it to him on a wheel route and still call it the Hail Macky. I wouldn't want to remove the amazing Garden drop because it was such an epic fail on so many levels, and because I was on Orange County for that game and I like winning. (S17) - PT4 - Overturned - ven_knight - 09-22-2019 Thinking about what could I change if I had a chance to do so, my pick would be between my TPE use and some games that were affected by bad sim performance. When I first started doing my updates and applying my first TPE, I didn't go straight for speed. That would have made it better for my position because of the importance of the stat, plus the fact that it took me 2 seasons to max it. Also, I would like to go back and actually do the S14 Ultimus PT which I didn't complete because I was just starting to know the league, those were 10 easy TPE I could have added. Since joining this community as a season 15 prospect, I learned that a subject of much distress is the weird results that come from the sim and you could tell that with the example of current season week 1 disaster. Fortunately, the Outlaws were not affected as much, although in the resim my stats were much better than the official result and I would have liked to keep them. Recently, two frustrating outcomes for the Outlaws were the loss at home against the Yeti and one on the road against New Orleans. For the first game, I would have change the gameplay to take advantage of our running backs and take pressure off QB Reese since he was throwing pick after pick. In the case of the Second Line game, Arizona had the possibility of a win in the last minute, if instead of throwing 3 straight incompletions they just run the ball.
