(S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - CDub2 - 10-26-2019 This one is easy. A lot of people will probably write about how everyone should just pick all the Wraiths players. To be honest, Danny Gritthead will probably have more individual fantasy points that all of the Philadelphia Team combined. But that's a diss on Philly rather than a compliment to Danny. What people are forgetting is that the Chicago Butchers could be a Fantasy power house. To be fair, they have a few players that they really focus on. Taht means those few players get to see the ball as much as they'd like. Jenkins would be a good pick, because she gets to throw the ball 50 times a game. The defense is young and fast, perfect for getting INT's and sacks. It's a match made in heaven. This has been my drafting strategy during my whole time in the league and it has resulted in countless last place finishes and 1 third place finish. So maybe don't listen to anything I've written here. Except stay away from Philly. You can listen to that. Those guys are bad. It's a fantasy point black hole. I'd rather take the S5-9 Yeti than any Liberty player and those were the worst Yeti of all time. Yuck. 209 (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - Jiggly_333 - 10-26-2019 SHL PT (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - C9Van - 10-26-2019 So I do have to state that this is my first time ever doing fantasy football in a simulation football league and I only really entered to get the $1 million due to them removing the x2 media option anyway. But I find myself just outside the top 3 positions which would net me some TPE which is pretty sweet. I put it down to asking the people who know what they are doing for help with a mix of the Yeti also doing pretty good all things considered. I think I got a pretty good team. It seems as though everyone will take good players at the start and it is just finding those gems and hidden standout players for the upcoming season in order to get the most amount of points and as a fantasy rookie I am pretty happy to be competing for 3rd right now. I may have to look at the waivers to see if I can find an improvement somewhere or even just steal a hidden gem but I have not really had much time recently to look in depth as I have just gotten back from holiday and that break was much needed. The future is at least bright for my fantasy team which is good to see. [213 words] (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - White Cornerback - 10-26-2019 Written Option: Fantasy Season is up and running. We have some steals and busts. We have some stars and some surprises. Write about how the season has gone so far from a fantasy football perspective. If you play fantasy, write about your team, if you don’t write about who on your NSFL team is a standout or a dud. If you are in DSFL, you can write about what players on your team would be fantasy starts if we did it for DSFL. I’m pretty open to how you want to do this, it just needs to relate to sim league Fantasy Football in some way. Alrighty then let me look up wherever the fuck the fantasy master sheet is now as we head into week 9 boys. Alrighty so I've checked the preview looking thing and I'm not a group leader, which is pretty much the same as every time I've ever done fantasy except once. Let me find my group, so as it stands I'm second in my group at 599. The weakest point for me is tight end declan harp who has been dogshit so far for me and tlks unspeakable WR who also has been cheeks. I'm going to change those fuckers to try and try for 1st as we speak. Everybody has been killing it from Cole being an absolute monster to the incredibly overpowered Yellowknife Wraiths defense. Alright I just checked the index and it turns out that Harp is actually the best tight end in the league not named Johnny Blaze. He's actually 2nd in the league in receiving yards after Blaze so he's not doing dogshit. I'm gonna drop Django for either Tidwell or Marshall RB tbh since he's at my flex , hopefully this gets me the W. Everybody else has been pretty solid infact if I manage to finish second it'll be like the joint best I've ever done in fantasy in the 15 or so seasons I've done it for. (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - SwagSloth - 10-26-2019 My fantasy team QB - Andrew Reese RB - Jerrod Canton WR1 - Josh Parker WR2 - Hugh Mongo TE - Jammerson Irving Flex - Marcella Toriki (RB) Kicker - Kulture Fulture Defense - Arizona Outlaws This has been a tough fantasy season for me as I'm currently ranked #5. I don't really need the TPE at this point, but it's a blow to my pride as I've placed #1 in my leagues several times. I have a habit of being a homer and, with all the parity in the league right now, perhaps this finally caught up with me. Reese has been a solid QB, but he still manages to stay fairly average despite being the highest TPE QB in the league. Jammerson Irving has had a rough year, though he's been forced to pick up FB duties since Seer Zephyrous was traded away. Not an issue for the team, but it is a blow to his overall production from a fantasy perspective. The Outlaws defense has been solid at #3 and has a great floor, but they aren't producing enough to make up for my losses elsewhere. Parker and Mongo are good picks on paper due to being the #1 WR on two different teams, but their teams don't throw enough to really highlight them. And, while my heart breaks for poor Toriki, she simply hasn't had the rookie season we all hoped she would. Overall, this results in a lot of mediocrity. But hey, there's always next season. 235 Words (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - Lowlycrib - 10-26-2019 This is my first season out of three not participating in the fantasy league and i'm glad that i didn't. The fantasy standouts on the Sabercats (lol) are few and far in between but would include the likes of Toriki, Flash, and if defense counts Deringer. Although the offensive players don't stand out that much in their positions they are the top options for their team, which is the team with arguably the worst defense and offense so I'm not quite sure what you'd expect from this team at this point. The duds on this team you could probably say everyone but specifically players such as Wright, Olsen, and our kicker Bobby. Everyone knew that Wright would struggle this season but no one knew it would be this atrocious, which also plays into the down seasons for all the other offensive players and our Kicker because of the very limited amount of times we reach field goal range. Maybe if the team can find a miracle stretch of decent play from the quarterback and the offense than a few more players on this team could become fantasy relevant but i would not be surprised if this team continues to be a bottom dweller fantasy and league wise (207 words) (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - StevenOSullivan - 10-26-2019 Well I don't have a fantasy team but I will try to highlight some players who seem to be doing well. For quarterbacks it looks like you want to have C. Havran, who has 19 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He also has the most yards. For running backs, F. Gump is the best one to have. He has over 1000 yards already and he has 9 touchdowns. Torenson has the second most yards and he is close to Gump in yards, but he only has 3 touchdowns. Marshall has the third most yards, though there is a huge gap between him and the top two running backs. He has 8 touchdowns, though which gets him closer. In wide receivers, N. Swift has the most yards, but he only has 2 touchdowns. Sunnycursed has the second most yards and he also has 6 touchdowns. Varga and Helanen have the most touchdowns with 8. It looks like Donaldson or Dasistwirklichseinnachname are the best two kickers (Cool name by the way, bro!) I think the Yellowknife Wraiths seem to have the best defense of anyone and should get you a lot of points there. Hopefully next year I will be a good fantasy pick as a kicker and can be awesome on some teams. (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - moonlight - 10-26-2019 This season’s fantasy has been an interesting one. Some players have impressed or exceeded expectations. Others, sadly, have been disappointing. I was personally hoping to get Franklin Armstrong, partly because I am Franklin Armstrong, but also because I believe he was a legitimate fantasy option in the NSFL. I have certainly proven that as I am the third ranked individual player in the NSFL so far, right behind Gump and my arch nemesis Havran. The wide receivers on this team have actually been pretty solid. James Bishop and Josh Parker have been bargain fantasy options. Of course I had to draft my defence and they have put on a clinic so far this season. Interceptions, sacks, fumbles, and just great plays galore for this defence. It’s been a pleasure to watch them go to work and get us the ball back. A player who’s suffered a major decline is my team mate Appolo Reed. I think he’s been a victim of the game plan. He’s still the same old Reed, but I have cut into his rushing output. Us combined is what he was running last season. Shout out to him for being such a team guy and never complaining, despite losing the stats everyone would love to have. I will be honest to ya chief, I do not think my fantasy season is looking to hot right now. With 279 points so far I sit pretty far back in the standings, but I think my team made of dark horses and underdogs can make a comeback. I like to make sleeper picks and sometimes sleeper picks do not work out and that is oke. My rookie pick of Will Smith, has not yet paid off yet, but Smith is only getting better and will be getting more catches as he gets better. Wolfie McDummy is a curious case where I think his fantasy points just arent showing with his preformance, he is 4-4 right now and I think he deservers a higher rating. Harris Jr. is a god of a kicker and recorded like 5 field goals against us. His point total should be way higher and the fantays list is just skewered against me and is trying ot keep me down. Saberkitties, oke this is so blatant. CKRoyal and Rraadum are the saberkitty gms and they are both inb my fantasy group. They are scared of me winning the group so they are playing their D badly on purpose to keep me down. Classic case of rigging fantasy. Please HO look into this. Wright and Kwemen are being underplayed by their gms to keep me down in fantasy and I do not appreciate that. Blaze, no clue why I picked Blaze. Obvious mispick my me which I regret. (S18) - PT2 - Wha-What’s your Fant-ta-tasy! - run_CMC - 10-27-2019 Oh, that’s what we’re doing today? We’re talking about Forrest Gump? His numbers are pretty monstrous. Now, I will say, a lot of his production is a factor of sheer volume, BUT this is fantasy football we’re talking about. In terms of player comparison relative volume might be considered when weighing who is better, but in fantasy football there’s no question. Gump currently has 237 rush attempts - 57 more than the next highest (a 32% increase!) - and it has helped him on his way to 1017 rushing yards and 9 rushing touchdowns. In case you didn’t know, that’s pretty damn good. Oh, it’s also over DOUBLE what the third place leading rusher has in yards. However, that third place is Morgan Marshall, and he’s been doing excellent with 8 rushing touchdowns, even with just 500 rushing yards! Now, I want to highlight two guys who are subtlety doing well: the runningbacks from the Austin Copperheads. They split a lot of time between runningback and receiver positions which diminishes their numbers in one particularly, but so far Mako Mendonca has gone for a combined 779 yards and 7 touchdowns, compared to 828 yards and 6 touchdowns for Owens. This puts them both in top 5 for runningback yardage from scrimmage, and the touchdowns numbers aren’t too bad at all! |
