Marcella Toriki fell in love with the holiday when she reached university. She loves watching horror movies and embracing the spooky spirit of the season. She's been hitting up haunted houses and pumpkin patches since October 1st, so you know that when the 31st rolls around, she is ready to fully embrace every minute. While she usually opts for something on the scarier end of costumes, this year, she was roped in to the worst facet of Halloween: group costumes.
You see, Marcella Toriki made the mistake of letting her brothers decide what they would go as this year. Her brothers, knowing their sister very well, decided to capitalize on this opportunity and force their sister to embrace the other side of the costume spectrum: cute!
So Marcella Toriki reluctantly dressed up as the most recent addition to the Disney Princess line up: Moana. Flanked by one brother dressed as Maui, and the other as the faithful rooster Hei Hei, the Toriki clan started the evening off by handing out candy to the early crowds of trick or treaters. Then, they hit the town for a bit of drinking, dancing, and general shenanigans. Once she had fulfilled her duty to her brothers, Marcella headed home to throw on comfortable clothes, and celebrate the day her way: a Scream movie marathon.

Quote:Written Option: Trick or Treat! What is your player or your teammate dressing as for Halloween? Why did you choose that character? What are you doing on Thursday night?

Corvo Havran has loved halloween ever since he was a child and moved to America. Throughout his entire life every halloween he has dressed up as some kind of charachter. This year he was thinking of what would be the ultimate costume.

Then he had an idea, the ulimate costume. A throwback to the old glory days. Something nostalgic for all to enjoy, if they are aware of what it is ofcourse. He went straight to the stores to buy all the materials and things he needed.

It started off by buying a bathrobe. A white one with blue outlinings. Then came a big bamboo hat. You know like what a shogun would wear. And then he bought some snowshoes. The final piece of clothing was a raggydi old cape and slap that bitch around his neck. Then came an accessoiry, which was a throwing star claw. In the shape of a maple leaf.

And so Havran had finished his costume. A dexless thief, absolute legend. He then went around running and pretending to throw around throwing stars while at the halloween party he was at. Ofcourse no one recognised what he was, but he knew what he was and enjoyed the heck out of being a dexless thief.

Rayne Gordon and his friends had an idea for an NFL-themed group costume. Despite living in North Carolina, Gordon and his family are New York Jets fans and even they can admit that the stuff that happens around the team is ridiculous. The latest farce was the ESPN Monday Night Football mic'ed up incident in which quarterback Sam Darnold was on air saying he was "seeing ghosts out there" versus the strong New England Patriots defense. This was just the latest absurd thing to happen to the Jets this season and in the last several years as well.

Now, for the costume. Even Gordon can laugh at his team sometimes, it is part of being a Jets fan. He wore a Sam Darnold jersey, and four of his friends dressed up like ghosts. When they went out to parties together, it was a very funny group costume, and made for some solid pictures.

Hopefully Gordon doesn't end up seeing any ghosts on the field in the coming weeks as he is trying to help Kansas City get into a playoff spot!

(Full disclosure: this was actually my Halloween costume in real life this year. I live in New York and I'm a Jets fan so it was even more relevant in my area.)

Mike Hockhertz isn't much of a fun guy. He likes money and he likes winning. Halloween is one of the few opportunities for Mike to let loose. So this Christmas, Mike decided to dress up as Dermott. It was pretty easy, the guy is an idiot and Mike isn't the brightest tool in the shed either so it's not like Mike had to act intelligently or anything. Dermot is also very ugly so this was tougher because Mike is very very beautiful. Mike is so beautiful in fact that Mike had to go to the Chicago Make Up factory and request they give him a reverse make over. A reverse make over is where they take all the best features and turn them ugly like Dermot. When he left the Chicago make up factory, the problem was that everyone recognized him. They were all like "look at ugly old Dermot". It worked. Not, Mike just grabbed a dusty old Yellowknife Jersey from the discount bin and put it on. He ended up winning best costume because of how ugly and stupid Dermot is. So thanks Dermot. Love you brother. Keep your head high. But no too high or else everyone will see how ugly you are. 207

OH BOY, IT'S HALLOWEEN TIME. You know that I always pull of the best costumes. In s15 when I played for the Solar Bears I had dressed up as a penguin and went around town throwing Popsicles everywhere. Yes, I know you’re impressed. The city of Palm Beach was so impressed and even wrote an article about me. They even gave it a Halloween esque name, Penguin terrorizes the city. Although I didn't read it, I'm sure they were impressed. The next year, when I played for Portland, I dressed up the scariest thing alive. I dressed up as the legendary Vinny Valentine. When I walked down the streets I saw parents shielding their children as I walked by. I guess they were Colorado Fans. The next year, again I was playing for Portland, I had decided to go all out. I pulled out all the stops and got the entire team to dress up as different flavors of fruit loops and of course we had the team’s leader, Jay Cue, dress up as the spoon. It was pretty epic, I bet all the other teams were jealous. This year thought, I had to take it to another level. With it being my first year in the NSFL I have to put on a show. That is why I will be dressing up as….. Drum roll please…… LIGHTNING MCQUEEN. He fits me like a glove. He is speed, I am speed. It's a match made in heaven

Halloween is an odd holiday. Franklin Armstrong’s family has never bothered to celebrate it, never handed out candy and never dressed up. This year, Armstrong might make an exception. The Otters are participating in a local charity drive for the local hospital near the Otters stadium. There will be a runway of sorts with all the Otters team members strutting their stuff and showing off their awesome Halloween costume. As Armstrong has never celebrated Halloween, as a first time costume buyer, he’s oddly had an easy time finding a costume. He will be going as the first African American Peanuts character, Franklin Armstrong. They by chance have the same name hilariously enough so it seemed like an obvious choice. Around the locker room Appolo Reed is going as Rambo, Dexter Banks is going as Dexter from Dexter’s laboratory, Hugh Mongo is going as Arnold from Hey Arnold, AJ Lattimer is going as Will Smith’s Dad from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Lanzer Grevious is going as General Grevious, Jonny Blaze is going as one of the Cats from Cats, Thorian Skarsgard is going as John Madden, Jaylen Storm is going as the male version of Storm from the X-Men, and these are just the main members of the team. It will be a full 53 man runway, and the Otters are hopeful it will raise a lot of money for their local hospital.

I stayed home this year, while my wife took our son out trick or treating for the first time with some of the other NSFL children, but that doesn't mean I couldn't have some fun with it! I dressed up as a zombie because my son saw it in a TC show and thought it looked cool. I got to scare some trick or treaters and I gave out king size candy bars, I couldn't go too scary though because we didn't want the house to scare Lamont Jr. My wife and son dressed up as superheroes, because she thought it would be cute to match him when they went out. Some of my teammates went as football stuff but I've always thought that's too easy. That would be like an accountant going as an accountant for Halloween. My favorite costume from my teammates was Shane going as a blind ref, thought that was good fun. I had a great time this Halloween with both my teammates and my family and I'm excited for next year. Next year I'm going out with Lamont Jr and his friends. Ever since I was a kid, Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays and I love carrying on the tradition with my family.
