I don't think @Stormblessed understands how tampering works.

Cook talking about going to a different team is tampering. You can't tamper yourself and force the punishment on a team, that makes literally no sense. If someone from a different team tried to persuade Cook to join their team, that's tampering.

When Robert Mueller is done investigating the Russia collision we have work for him here in the NSFL regarding tampering.


PS I think calling for a trade mid season is a weak move, especially when you pigeonhole your GM and say there's only 2 teams you'll play for. You can say you don't want to be selfish but it's difficult for me, or anyone else, to see this as not selfish. Regardless, I hope you end up happy and active.

I think you have to go with NFL rules which state that

Tampering occurs when the owner, general manager or anyone involved with player acquisition directly mentions or hints at acquiring a player not through a channel that would influence a player to take an action that may affect how they approach their next contract.

For example, if @Bzerkap posts here that he wants Cook, that's tampering. Because it allows Cook to know that he has an option either through trade or through contract expiration to join Yellowknife.

However, if I post that I would like Cook on the team, it's not tampering. I have 0 influence on roster makeup.

If that makes sense.

Works for me I guess. It's just so strict lol. I wouldn't be allowed to joke when I guy scores huge that I want him in Yellowknife, when it would be obvious everyone wants that guy on their team
