Again, I didn't say they were bad ideas, just pointing out that the bias makes it tough to take them seriously. The TE boost is a little easier to swallow as it was suggested by a player that doesn't play TE though.
It's becoming more and more apparent that Gibson will removed from the league, but the Hawks don't just get that random advantage. I was only half joking - I want to know what you would do. And also, please note that I pointed out unfair holes in the TE boost theory, even though it makes the most sense.

I think I just pointed it out as this: "hey, another person missed this!" It's not a knock on you (I commented on Gibson's player page AND checked his update thread numerous times to see what made him so magical. I should've gotten it ten times over.

Yeah, I honestly don't know. Obviously, that's for the league to decided, and if I were a member of the front office, I would have to recuse myself.
Clearly there was an advantage, but it does seem to be an honest mistake that luckily was caught now before it tainted our entire season. Hopefully this gets weighted into the decision. From what's been suggested so far, the TE boost seems to be the best option.

The TE boost fix doesn't really help teams that have already played the Hawks, though.

And arguably you could make that case in many ways. When the Patriots got punished for a guy videotaping the Jets practice, its very possible that wasn't the teams fault, but they lost picks from that.
I do not think the updater should be fired. I imagine the updater saw no actual attributes being added in that post. Assumed it was a noob creating an update thread, and just wanted to comment so he knew he had not missed anything.
