I guess as the co-GM, i'm technically only 50% of 1/13 of the votes. As for a new cap, as long as teams are fielding top tier OL bots, the cap is probably in a reasonable alignment. Plus, doesn't NOLA have bags of cash laying around to throw at FAs?

For the common folk:
8)Dynamic contract scaling: If a player signs a contract for minimum at 399 tpe, when he passes 400 tpe in that season he will then automatically be moved to the 400TPE minimum contract amount for the upcoming season.
Received only a single GM vote in favor. (Some current GMs were not in their roles when this rule was proposed).

and I'll admit when I was a GM back then I voted no on that proposal but I have since had a change of heart

What are the thoughts on just a percentage of your TPE after your play a certain amount of seasons. For instance, 5% if you play more than 5 seasons.
50 TPE for a person that has 1,000 TPE and retires. I honestly do not see that as a huge addition.
Obviously, this is a random number, but it is clean, easy.

5% of your peak TPE? I think that's not a bad idea

This is really what sba and efl do, I think it's a good system and I'm hoping it gets real consideration at the summit

32 players in the league have at least 700 TPE.
8 of those 32 are being paid this season at the minimum amount for their current TPE bracket (whether or not it was minimum when they signed).
18 of those 32 are being paid this season below the minimum amount for their current TPE bracket.
29 of those 32 are playing on a contract worth $5m or less.
10 of those 32 are playing on a $1m or $2m contract this season.
That said, wait until S9 to change anything so I can sign a nice circumvention contract beforehand thanks

That's helping to prove my point. Even if this change was implemented, GMs would need to be allotted about 2 seasons to get their finances sorted out. There's no way to make the change and immediately force contract changes. This is why it should have been addressed 2 seasons ago.
Also, it probably shouldn't be left to a GM vote anyways but HO is vehemently against taking any proactive actions.
