The Wraiths picked up a few new bodies this offseason, so I'll do a brief run through of a few of them.
First: Cornerback Jake Verdan of the Kansas City Coyotes. He could possibly step up and, at some point down the line, fill the shoes of veteran defensive stalwart Dermot Lavelle, who is in his tenth season and is still playing lights out, hauling in eight interceptions last season. Verdan was a nice piece, and a ball hawk, for the Coyotes, picking off four passes of his own last season to go along with a pair of forced fumbles. As a matter of fact, he's a potential turnover machine, and a good tackler, racking up 86 of them last year along with one tackle for a loss, impressive numbers for a cornerback.
The other player that we'll be reviewing today is linebacker Ray Slick, coming from my own Portland Pythons. Slick was a solid player last season at the second level, racking up seventy tackles and notching three sacks to go along with an interception. Notable, Slick, along with Jake Verdan, was in his first year of DSFL competition, so both of these guys are high-upside players who passed up a year of sure-fire dominance in the DSFL in order to compete at the highest level. These two guys could be a pair of players who help the Wraiths get past a transition and minor rebuild in order to contend for another Ultimus title.

Declan Harp was the first round pick of the Baltimore Hawks before season 9 on the NSFL. Despite showing, arguably, the most potential of any player in the draft, he fell to the Hawks late in the first round due to character concerns. Yet, unsurprisingly (to the Hawks front office at least) there’s been zero issues with Declan. In fact, not only has he been friendly and active in the locker room, he has taken a team first approach in his development. Although he would’ve been able to make an impact for the Hawks last season, he spent a second season in the DSFL for some extra “seasoning”, so to speak. The wait seems well worth it as his growth was phenomenal. Despite already having the highest rated tight end on their roster, the Hawks took a gamble on him, and it seems to have paid off in spades. Having Harp available to them brings a shocking level of flexibility to their offense. Harp is able to line up nearly anywhere you want on the offense with his good strength and speed, phenomenal blocking, and quickly developing hands. Although he may not put up a statistically impressive season this year, his flexibility will be felt by the team and will allow his teammates to continue to grow and flourish.

The DSFL draft came and went. Also, I know I needed to wait so long for hearing my name from a minor league commish. I was drafted 28th OV by Tijuana. My first impressions were like ''where the hell Tijuana even is''. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise for all of you since I'm from a small ass town and I've only been in Cleveland a couple of times. But I must give my AD a credit, he made me felt like I'm in home despite I was a lot of miles away from my home. And that Tijuana city is actually cool. All these clubs, beaches, palm trees like I used to see from some rapper clips on YT, that's very nice. It's warm as hell though. I guess I could live with that. After all, I want to be a legendary kicker and thing. As for our locker room, it's nice as well. I'm not being the most vocal person cause I'm too shy, but looks like nobody minds that. And the AD already expressed his faith on me so yes, it's all cool. The Luchadore fanbase also grew up since starting sort of a dyansty. Good to know we're going to play in front of a full crowd.
Sometimes, the first impression is wrong. This time, in a good way.

If he doesn't get the call to start for San Jose this season, D'Pez Poopsie's time will certainly be Season 11. The FB half of a dynamic rushing partnership with HB Elijah Lagerfield, Poopsie was second in the DSFL in rushing as a rookie, gaining 1,163 yards from 205 touches for a 5.7 YPC rate and 11 touchdowns. He also flexed as a secure passing option at times, catching 23 passes for 191 yards, good for an 8.3 YPC average. He makes an excellent addition to any backfield, and if he and Lagerfield bring that teamwork to the SaberCats, look for them to wreck shop together.
Otherwise, Poopsie will still make for a very viable utility option on offense. He can run, catch and block! Highly active in the community as well and with a user who recreated with him, so expect experience, knowledge and dedication to shape the Ole Miss Rebel into a threat who can set up with the backfield to put the wine in front of any defense. He could be ready to spring up into the NSFL this season, though it's understandable if he still has that drive to win an Ultimini with the Portland Pythons first after they suffered a narrow overtime defeat to the now two-time champion Tijuana Luchadores. The drive of unfinished business will serve him well to improve and set up for an amazing career, hopefully with San Jose for much of the foreseeable future.

The Baltimore Hawks have several new faces this year and we are certainly excited to welcome them. We have 3 guys in our locker room that weren't there last year plus two new guys in our organization who are in the DSFL now. Starting with the veteran and former top 3 pick, Cordell Joshua is now a Baltimore Hawk. He was a little bit of a disappointment for a terrible San Jose team but it's hard to expect anyone to play super well on a crap team under those circumstances. I'm confident he's going to fit in well on a top tier defensive line with Arvin Asipi, Kurt Hendrix, and Childish Gambino. The four of them are all incredibly talented and we'll see how they all work together.
Additionally the Hawks are adding two rookies from the Kansas City Coyotes, offensive weapons Declan Harp and Vinny Valentine. The two of them are expected to combine to replace the departing Alexandre Leclair. They both had two years in the DSFL and are going to be great additions to a top tier Hawks offense.
We also have two new guys who aren't going to be on the team, but are now in the organization, Steven Oates and and Damian Arnold. They will both play a crucial role in the Hawks future. 219
