(S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - plantane - 03-21-2019 After getting drafted lower than he expected, Xerxes Ridley is training hard to prove the doubters wrong and hone his craft. With access to the Portland Python training facility, Ridley is grinding harder than ever before. Starting bright and early at 5 every morning, he's been hitting the treadmill to improve his speed and explosiveness on the field. In the afternoons, he works with the defensive coaches on the different coverages and reads that they'll be looking to him to make. At night, Ridley gets a quick strength workout in and then enjoys spending some downtime with other members of the team. With preseason looming in the horizon, Ridley wants to leave nothing to chance and to make sure that he's as ready as ever for a breakout season. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Mongoose87 - 03-21-2019 Will H Harrison knows that he's getting older. Statistically speaking, all probabilities say this season will be the peak of his physical ability as a football player. In keeping with that, he's made preparations. Prior to season start he has done every type of cleanse available. He has done every time of cleanse available. He's had a juice cleanse. He's had a raw foods cleanse. He's cleansed with a three-day cabbage and water diet. He's cleansed with actual cleanser. He's even had his stomach cleansed by the hospital to cleanse him of the cleanser he cleansed himself with. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Player1 - 03-21-2019 Yellowknife is in the ass end of the ass end of nowhere, and for the Wraiths' three first-round picks it will be a new home for the next several years. That prospect would upset most attention-addicted superstar professional athletes, but not Sandy Bakshi. Sandy has always been a quiet and serious person, so for him the vast expanses of Canadian wilderness are a welcome sight compared to the bustling developed wastelands of Los Angeles or Philadelphia. Sandy travelled to Yellowknife as soon as he got the call on draft day, and has been both learning about the local community as well as taking numerous excursions to the outdoors. When a local reporter asked him how he felt about his new home Sandy replied, "I love it. You don't hear about this place much... or really at all beyond the Wraiths team. It's a very peaceful and relaxing place, and the community has really embraced me. I hope that the other rookies feel the same way when they get here and that Thad [Castle] and I can get a lot of work done together." (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Roly - 03-21-2019 Ricardo Morris has spent the preseason getting to know his new team, the Norfolk Seawolves of the DSFL. After going 13th in the recent DSFL draft, Morris got in touch with the front office to find a new living situation and get situated to the city. The first days at the practice facility have been spent getting to know the other new Seawolves and beginning to get reps in with the defensive squad and the line formations. Morris has specifically been working on reps with fellow defensive linemen Nick Snider and Poster Nutbag to find chemistry with the unit, and the other front seven including first overall pick Allen Josh. 110 words (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - contacts - 03-21-2019 Jammerson Irving's gamble to leave school after his sophomore season paid off, as the oft-troubled and raw recruit was surprised to be drafted in the fourth round of the DSFL draft. The 19 year-old Jamaican national flies to Tijuana with a contract and a freedom - he has been under strict supervision by his father and agent since being dismissed from the University at Buffalo football program. The previously out-spoken athlete, who has settled in at the tight end position, has not posted to social media or given any media interviews. But Tijuana is a long way from Guelph, Canada and there is certainly a risk given Irving's previous run-ins with the law. The Luchadores will look to use Irving's height and speed down the seam, but the next step in his development must include fundamentals of the game. This will be the prospects 5th year of organized football, and his technical inconsistencies are apparent. We will see if the project can continue to develop as a pro and, perhaps, begin speaking to the media. 174 word count (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - ErMurazor - 03-21-2019 Jorel Tuck has just been sticking to his regular training regimen in order to continue to improve as a player and prepare for the season 14 regular season. Jorel Tuck does not think that he needs to take extra steps since he has been making strides as a player since he joined the San Jose Sabercats and entered the league. Jorel Tuck thinks that if it “ain’t” broke do not fix it applies here, so the best course of action has just been for him to continue grinding as a player so he maximizes his potential as well as his contribution to bringing the city of San Jose their first title in franchise history. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Rradum - 03-21-2019 Cameron Olsen is preparing for his DSFL debut by training with his former teammate and now opponent Lightsout Lewis @flyeaglesfly29. He's been working on building chemistry with his new teammates while also giving some focus to his speed and catching training. He left us with a quote about his preperations. "I'm ready to be on the field and show everyone why I was picked at number 11. I'm ready to show my team and the league that I belong here and I'm making my way to the NSFL earlier rather than later." The DSFL preseason begins tonight so he may see some reps with his new team, the Kansas City Coyotes. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - 124715 - 03-21-2019 Richard D'Attoria V doesn't care about draft results, or contract amounts, or playing time, or any other thing that all the other rookies are salty about. Richard isn't training because he feels disrespected by 5 GMs from other teams - he's training for the GM of the team he's on. And everyone else - even the people he's trying to beat out on the depth chart. Even the people on the offense. Even the bot QB on the practice squad. Richard cares about the success of his team. Every grueling rep in the weight room, he imagines shedding blocks for the tackle in the backfield. Every painful step on the ladder, he sees himself jumping a route for the pick. Richard D'Attoria V is ready to make a splash. Code: 127 (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Jiggly_333 - 03-21-2019 Rose Jenkins is preparing herself for a new season by working on her balance. Rosie's been skating with her mother since a young age, but has recently begun working out with the San Francisco Pride in the SHL alongside her mother Dakota Reid in order to remain fit going into preseason with the Kansas City Coyotes. While not quite using the same skills needed for football in hockey, Rosie's said that the weight lifting and hit avoidance techniques are things that she can use towards being a better quarterback. It is however surprising to see Rose with her mother, as it's been reported that Koda does not approve of her daughter's new girlfriend. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Bigred1580 - 03-21-2019 This Offseason, Nate Swift is doing everything he can to prove to his team, that he is the real deal. I is coming off a WRotY season in the DSFL, but this year is different. I is getting the big call up to the NSFL and the Yellowknife Wraiths. It is a different animal taking on the stud DB’s in this league so I am upping my game, increasing speed, hands and strength in hopes that I will be equal to the task soon. I hope to earn my spot in the starting lineup in no time and become a major contributor. |
