That's not an exaggeration, they have NEVER MISSED THE PLAYOFFS! So you know what, OCO you've had some great members over the seasons, but just cut it out. Let someone else take your spot for one season. For a little more motivation, Orange County losing means that San Jose will have won their very first playoff game in history, so that'd be pretty meaningful as well. 13) That Magic Moment Code: Written: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch. It's the start of the 2nd half. The score is 17 - 16 in favor of Philly. Everyone has their war face on. Philly kicks off and the Sabrecats make their way down the field. 2 yards from the end zone and on 4th down Donaldson gives San Jose a 19 -17 lead. This is where it starts. Donaldson kicks and Barnes is brought down at their 22 yard line. Coach calls for a safety spy play. Trey Staley fakes playing deep in the backfield with Thad. The ball is snapped and immediately Staley starts running forward toward the line while Chad picks up Barnes who running a slant. Falconi's pass to Staley is no longer there because he thought SJS was playing zone instead of man with Chad tied to Barnes' hip Falconi panics and runs back. The pocket collapses and Staley is right on Falconi flattening him for a loss of 7 yards. The bench erupts and the players on the field erupt. The next play Falconi passes too far in front of the receiver and on 3rd down Chad Pennington destroys the running back. Unable to convert, Philadelphia have to punt the ball and with it they lose any chance of winning the game. San Jose led for the rest of the game after that. That was our magic moment. (S14) Ultimus Week! - AW13 - 04-29-2019 1. PBE PT 2. All about the QBs Written: Write 200 words on one of the QB matchups in this year's playoffs. What are you most excited to see (Or excited to have seen), who will play better (Or who played better), etc. -Let's be honest, this is the matchup a lot of people that watched the Season 10 draft was waiting for, Falconi vs. Christ in the NSFL. SUre, the two had matched up a few times in the DSFL and the Ultimini with Falconi usually getting the best of Christ but one could argue the script had been flipped in the NSFL. Falconi has been a productive player and this is not a knock on her, but Christ was the reigning NSFL MVP and San Jose has been one of the premier teams over the last few seasons. This season sung a different story for the Sabrecats' signal caller as he was called upon to be much more of the offense and arguable, the same goes for Falconi and the Liberty as well. Where Falconi had to pass early and often without having a feature back in the lineup, Christ played the role of feature back alongside Orosz and Canton and ended up 6th in rushing and had the best yards per carry among all players with 100 or more rushing attemps. Christ was multi-faceted and hard to gameplan against and you knew what you would get from Falconi. Both are great players, but the dual-threat Christ came out on top with a great team victory in leading San Jose to its first ever Ultimus title. 4. SHL PT 3. Our Time Written: Why should your team be looked at the favorite to win the Ultimus or Ultimini. -This has been a long time coming for the San Jose Sabrecats and while maybe going into the playoffs, they were not looked at as the favorites by many, they should have been and now have proven themselves as Ultimus champions. Why should they be favorites after finishing 9-5 and having to go on the road and beat the Otters in Orange County!? Here is why. The team was well constructed to beat anyone that stepped in their path and while yes, they do have some boom or bust potential depending on their read option attack, the team is beastly at every position. Christ, Canton, Orosz is a hell of a backfield and each of the players are used in order to try and maximize the run game. The pass catching combo of Flash, Oles, Brannigan, and Justice are more than formidable and might be the best in the league. The OL is full of studs including my boy Beep Bot. The defense is...damn, so good. Tucks, Poopsie, Riposte, Troyski, Staley, Derringer, and the Penningtons are a group maybe never seen. Donaldson held down the special teams unit with ease. All I am saying is that this team is freakishly good and showed that on their way to an Ultimus championship. The GMs of CKRoyal92 and that sexy beast AndrewWarren13 did a tremendous job of building the team and keeping the group motivated and it paid off. (S14) Ultimus Week! - nunccoepi - 04-30-2019 12. Sit down with a fan I interviewed Jiggly 11. Sit down with a star Jiggly interviewed me. Questions: 1. Your career is probably going to come to a close sometime soon, with regression the way it is. What are your thoughts on your next player? 2. Do you have any last things you want to do with L'Alto, besides winning another Ultimus? 3. Since this is your first and only player in this league so far, what's your experience within the league been like with his career path? 4. While an offensive position, TE is not a glamorous one. What are some things that you can say to new users on the fence about becoming a TE? Answers: 1. So right now I'm keying in on S19 as my last with L'Alto and first with my recreate. I might take a season off before my recreate or I might just have a DSFL player for a season or two. it depends on the GMing situation in Baltimore, but I know that I definitely want to make a Defensive End, because that's in need right now and that' what I played in high school. 2. Well hopefully my career doesn't come to a close too too soon. I'd like to hang on to L'Alto as long as I can. The way I see it, I've been with him for 14 irl months, an extra 2 or 3 or whatever isn't going to make a huge difference. I definitely want to win another ring, and ideally it would be another 2 or 3 so that I can have more than that stink pot DiMirio. 3. I've said all along, I want to build a Hall of Fame player. Hopefully that's still within the real of possibility. I've won a lot of personal awards which is nice, although I would have liked to have won another Ultimus or two by now. considering I'm like 1-5 in the Ultimus, it really should look different, but it is what it is. 4. I chose tight end originally because I noticed it was very needed and because it seemed unique. It's still that way, although we have good up and comers. My advice would be don't be deterred by those who say it's not a fun position. I enjoy it quite a bit, and actually its a position that gets a lot of receptions. If you want to be successful I'd recommend being on a so-so offense with mediocre receivers as you'll get a lot of check downs that way, but not a straight up bad offense that runs all the time. Also be with a GM that knows how to use TEs. 7. Next Year Alright so I need to be careful so that this doesn't fall into the category for why we were robbed because basically everyone knows that we were the better team between Baltimore and Philadelphia, at least based on the DMs I received that night. But you know what, that's how the game goes sometimes. The good news is that next year we will have essentially the same team, except, you know, just better. We didn't really lose anyone significant, except maybe sapp but in all reality, as much as I love the guy, Andre Bly Jr actually made our team worse in our tests. So that should actually lead to improvement. Horne, Roenick, and L'Alto (and maybe Squanch) all took regression hits, but they weren't that bad and they should all be top level players. Actually come to think of it, we did lose Beaver and Payton's player, Brian Mills. But I believe that we will be able to supplement those positions in other ways like with the 5CBs we have or through draft/free agency. So, needless to say, I am very hopeful that we will be able to come out on top again this season and be challenging for another championship. 13. That Magic Moment (S14) Ultimus Week! - slothfacekilla - 04-30-2019 Code: 7) You may use a PBE, SHL, and GOMHL PT as credit for a maximum of 2 tasks here. PBE PT SHL PT Code: 13) That Magic Moment In the first quarter of the Ultimini championship game, the Pythons managed to take the game's first lead with a 4 yard Rkansaw NA touchdown run on their opening possession. The Luchadores offense was feeling the pressure after a quick three and out on their first drive, and hoped for better results the second try. Unfortunately a drop on 3rd and 2 would doom the Lucha's second drive as well. Luckily for the Lucha, Harris Jr. boomed a beauty of a 57 yard punt, angling the ball out of bounds at the Pythons' 4 yard line. The Tijuana defense took the field, hoping to keep the Pythons pinned on their half of the field. After a first down scamper from Smallwood-Chess that went for 7 yards, the Pythons' coordinator got greedy dialing up a quick 5 yard pass, hoping to get the first down, but Johnny Slothface had other ideas. As soon as Slothface read Armstrong dropping back, he broke on the Pythons' tight end, and stepped in front of the pass for his first career interception. Slothface had dreams of a touchdown, but he was brought down at the Portland six yard line. Forrest Gump quickly punched the ball into the end zone on the next play, tying the game at 7. The away fans were definitely hyped for both of these plays, and were believing that they could pull another upset for the back to back championships. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the cards, but this moment was a special one for Slothface and the fans. Especially for Johnny, who was named the defensive player of the game: Defensive POG: Johnny Slothface - LB (TIJ): 11 Tck, 1 Sck, 1 Int Code: 3) All about the QBs I was definitely the most excited to see how our quarterback, Corvo Havran, would go up against the Pythons' Franklin Armstrong in the Ultimini game. Havran and Armstrong finished their DSFL seasons as numbers 1 and 2 in total passing yards in the league, with 2700 yards and 2614 yards respectively between the two QB's. Their touchdown totals from the regular season did tell a different story: Armstrong amassed 22 touchdowns versus 11 interceptions on the year, while Havran tossed 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for the Lucha. Even with the disparity in touchdown totals, I had seen first hand in last season's Ultimini game how Havran steps up in big moments. this was definitely going to be a great QB matchup. Early on, Armstrong found a bit of a rhythm on the Pythons' first drive, completing three passes on the way to a Pythons rushing touchdown to open the scoring. Unfortunately for the Lucha and Havran, their offense wouldn't see much success on their next drive. But luckily for the Lucha, Armstrong threw an ill advised pass from his own 11 yard line that ended up in a Lucha interception. After a quick touchdown, Armstrong was back on the field to try to redeem himself...and promptly threw his second interception on the very next play. Armstrong would go on to throw a third interception in the third quarter of the game. Unfortunately for the Lucha, their offense never got any rhythm going which is evident by huge disparity in total offensive yards between the two teams. Havran would finish the game 15/29 for 165 yards with no TD's or Interceptions, not giving the ball away but also sporting a very low yards per attempt. Armstrong was a bit reckless with the ball with his three interceptions, but added three touchdown passes to go along with his 23/33 for 247 yards passing. Despite the giveaways, Armstrong still had an efficient game all things considered, and definitely led the Pythons to victory. (S14) Ultimus Week! - contacts - 04-30-2019 1) Playoff Game Review: Luchadores vs Marshals The San Antonio Marshals came into the first round of the playoffs as overwhelming favorites over the Tijuana Luchadores, having beaten their conference rivals four consecutive times during the regular season and holding home field advantage thanks to their league best 12 - 1 record. However, the Lucadores were the reigning champs, and finished the season strong with a 6 - 2 record - both loses however at the hands of the Marshals. An early gamble by the San Antonio coaching staff to go for a long forth down completion back fired, and the Luchadores were able to strike first with a field goal on their ensuing drive. After trading touchdowns on a pair of long drives, the Luchadores jumped out to a 20 - 7 lead after QB Cooter Bigsby was intercepted with only a minute remaining in the half that turned into a quick field goal. The Marshals used a long 67 yard return to open halftime to put the game within 6 points, however the play of the game crushed any momentum that touchdown may have started. After an excellent special teams play that pinned the Luchadores on their own 4 yard line, star HB Forrest Gump danced, reversed field and took it to the house on an amazing 96 yard TD run. San Antonio was never able to recover, and the Tijuana defense was able to hold them to just one more touchdown and an unlikely 30 - 21 win over perhaps the most dominant DSFL team to date. 2) That Magic Moment After one half, the Tijuana Luchadores held a surprising 20 - 7 lead over the dominant San Antonio Marshals, but the momentum quickly shifted after 67 yard return by CB V. Jones lead to a quick touchdown that put the Marshals within six points with just a minute and half off the clock in the second half. The quick drive re-energized the home crowd and swung momentum back to the heavy favorites. On the ensuing kick off, San Antonio special teams came through with a brilliant play that buried returner Humuhumunukunukuapua'a at the 4 yard line. The home crowd was deafening, QB Havran was backed up in the shadow of his own goal posts, and things looked like they may unravel for the underdog Luchadores. However, star RB Forrest Gump, the MVP for the Luchadores all season, put the team on his back once again with what most assuredly the DSFL play of the year. Gump took the handoff, stepped to the right on a counter-play run, and quickly escaped out the back side of the line behind stalwart blockers Beaver-Dantes and Ulysses. The misdirection allowed him to escape into the second level of the San Antonio defense, where he was able to juke the safety and break a arm tackle from the corner back. Somehow, Gump was able to elude no less than 4 San Antonio defenders and broke free from the pile up and the foot race began. As he had all season, Gump did not let himself be caught from behind, taking the rock all 96 yards to the house for a huge touchdown. The crowd was silenced. The Marshals hung their head in dejection. Gump had driven a dagger through their dreams of the Ultimini. 3) Head to Head Match Up Tijuana TE Jammerson Irving vs Portland LBs Lee, Greivous and Stokeley Throughout the regular season, Jammerson Irving was able to put up chunk yardage plays using his elite speed to beat linebackers and make plays in the second level. Tijuana used this mismatch successfully, and Irving finished the season 8th overall in receiving yards with 574, and 6th overall in receptions with 62. He made up a important part of the trio with WRs Tidwell and Rey that helped Tijuana finish with the number one passing attack during the regular season. With Tijuana featuring lethal rushing attack as well, Portland's linebackers would have to cover Irving with little help. Unfortunately for Jammerson and the Luchadores, the trio of LBs were more than up for the task. Each of Lee, Greivous and Stokeley have excellent speed for linebackers, and the blanketed the Tijuana tight end for the entire game. Irving was completely blanked in the first half, with his one successful effort to break into the second level broken up by a safety. After half-time, the Luchadores made a more concerted effort to get Jammerson the ball, but the young tight end was not up to the task. Perhaps it was the frustration of not being able to get open in the first half, or the pressure of playing in the championship game, but all 4 of Irving's third quarter targets fell incomplete, including 2 drops. Grievous himself made an acrobatic break-up on Jammerson's final target of the quarter. Irving did have 2 catches in the final frame, but both came in garbage time and Grievous and Lee were both able to make tackles before he could do much damage. The Portland linebackers were able to bottle up, frustrate, and ultimately erase the threat that Jammerson Irving posed. 4) Going to Disneyland! Franklin Armstrong almost single handedly lost the Ultimini for the Portland Pythons, throwing three interceptions before finding the endzone. However, with a defense that was able to limit the Tijuana Luchadores to 10 second half points, Armstrong rallied and threw three second half touchdowns and lead his team on multiple long drives. After claiming the Ultimini MVP award, and some sweet endorsement dollars, Armstrong told television viewers his plans to visit Disney World. The rookie quarterback had never been to Disney World before, and took in all iconic sights the park had to offer. He took a selfie in front of Cindrella's Castle, he took a ride of Space Mountain and had a slightly embarrassing picture taken on Splash Mountain's final descent. Mr. Armstrong was having a blast on his first visit. However, things soon took a dark turn.... The Country Bear Jamboree sounds like a harmless, family friendly show but Armstrong was not ready for the eldritch horror that was soon apparent. The terrifying family of bears, at times too real yet not real at all, shook Armstrong to the bone. The inbred, obviously cannibalistic family of ursine monsters caused the quarterback to flee - flee right into the "It's a Small World" ride. The boat that was his salvation from the bears soon became a prison as he realized he had just entered the creepiest area on planet Earth. Hideous miniature people assailed him from all angles, singing in tunes no human voice could attain. Being unable to swim, Armstrong was trapped - and soon lost all conscious memory of the haunting, terrible little puppets. He regained consciousness on a bench, surrounded by children and a Goofy, happily signing autographs. He bolted, knocking the crowd to the grounds as he fled the park, never to return again. (S14) Ultimus Week! - Jonny2x - 04-30-2019 1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews The Philadelphia Liberty upset the Baltimore Hawks by a score of 31-28. It was a stunning upset as the Hawks took a commanding lead of 28-17 early in the 4th quarter after a 7 yd pass from Childish Gambino to Viggo Squanch. The Liberty answered with a ‘gutcheck’ drive of 60 yards from their own 2 yard line. After an incomplete 3rd down pass it was up to Kulture Fulture who nailed a 55 yarder to bring the Liberty to within one score. A comment was made about Kulture Fulture needing a new truck to bring his giant balls home after driving the 55 yarder home. After the defense did their job forcing a quick 3 and out, including a sack by Luke Smyles and a huge drop by Baltimore’s Marquise Brown, the Liberty offense went back to work. On 3rd and 17 from the Baltimore 47, Falconi hit Batoff for a huge touchdown, with the 2 point conversion we were looking at a tie game with less than 5 minutes to play. Another big 3 and out forced by the Liberty defense gave the ball back to the offense with 3 minutes and 22 seconds remaining. The offense put together a majestic drive taking the ball from their own 20 down to the Baltimore 15 with 19 seconds left on the clock. Fulture lined up and struck the game winner straight and true! Only left with 19 seconds Baltimore completed a 24 yrad pass over the middle but the clock hit zeroes on them before they could get to the line to get another play off. The city of brotherly love celebrated as their team moves on. 3) All about the QBs How do you beat a team on the road when the home team is favored by 9 points? You show up. That is exactly what Falconi did when she posted the following stat line: Cp/At Yds Avg TD Int Rat Falconi, A. 25/34 394 15.8 3 0 141.1 In a head to head matchup with this year’s potential MVP she outshined Childish Gambino in almost every statistical category. What made the game even more amazing is that Gambino was no slouch himself. He posted a sparkling QB rating of almost 121 and had very good numbers this game but was overshadowed at every turn by Adriana Falconi. She was able to find 3 different receivers for over 100 yards each. Two of her 3 touchdown passes went to Roger Batoff, including the big 47 yarder to tie the game late in the 4th quarter. She also had completions of 44 and 57 yards to Carter Bush and Jordan von Matt, respectively. This game will become all quarterback’s playoff benchmark for many years to come. On the road added such a unique difficulty that it is even more impressive than the mind blowing numbers show. The Liberty were unable to finish off the season with a Championship but just the fact they made it to the game against great odds will forever be linked to Adriana Falconi’s magnificent playoff performance. 4) Head to Head Matchups Portland Pythons linebacker Lanzer Grievious found himself a bit down early on. He was matched up against the deep back for Norfolk, usually Dorfus Jimbo or Apollo Reed. The SeaWolves had just taken a 10-0 lead on the back of a 1 yard touchdown run by Reed. Grievious had got caught up on a block and wasn’t happy with his effort on the play. A quick chat at halftime with his linebacker coach renewed his confidence and he came out firing on all cylinders in the second half. The teams both played well defensively after the half trading fieldgoals in the third quarter. Down 10 in the 4th quarter is not where Grievious expected to be. After all, his team had come into the game as heavy favorites. The Pythons were at home and had easily won the division. Most people couldn’t even believe Norfolk was in the playoffs after finishing less than .500 in the regular season. With a little under 13 minutes to play in the game and his team still down by a touchdown, Lanzer Grievious made the play of the DSFL playoffs. He picked off Norfolk quarterback Jay Longshaw who was looking short sideline at Jimbo. Right at the 22 yard line Grievious stepped in front of the fluttering pass stayed in bounds and took it down the sidline for 6! After the extra point tied the game and the Pythons kicked a game winning field goal on their next possession. It was clear that with 5 tackles, a pass defensed and the spectacular pick 6 Grievious had bested his running back rivals this day. 5) Spotlight on Youth - Only task that is specifically for the NSFL and not DSFL Cornerback Spencer Castle has been steadily improving since joining the NSFL, but was the Season 14 playoffs his breakout? He was drafted 3rd overall in the Season 12 DSFL draft by the Tijuana Luchadores. He played one lights out season for the Luchadores with 5 interceptions, 16 passes defensed, 82 tackles, 1 blocked punt and a blocked FG! Combining those numbers and his activity level led to him to again being chosen 3rd overall, this time by the New Orleans Second Line during the Season 13 NSFL draft. Before the season even began he was packaged with a 3rd rounder and sent to Baltimore in exchange for Dan Schneider. The trade may have affected his big play ability as he only came up with 1 interception and 5 passes defensed. He did however contribute in other ways with 103 tackles and 2 sacks. After the season, and just before free agency began he was traded again, this time to the San Jose Saber Cats. The Cats gave up Ben Horn in exchange for the young corner. This season he came up huge with 23 passes defensed! However, he was unable to pull down any interceptions as his hands seemed to fail him time and time again. He slipped to 58 tackles but this was more due to defensive scheming than any sort of fall off on his part. The true breakout everyone has been predicting arrived in this year’s SaberCats playoff run. In the 2 playoff games Castle combined for 12 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 2 interceptions! While the defense did give up an average of over 20 points a game, Spencer’s big play ability bailed them out multiple times. If this is finally the breakout many predicted, look for Castle to make a run at the single season interception record of 10 next season. After all, it will be the first time he has been with the same defensive coordinator for more than 1 season. (S14) Ultimus Week! - BrewCrew - 04-30-2019 Spotlight on Youth A big story during the NSFL playoffs this year was the emergence of San Jose’s Spencer Castle. The Cornerback has only been in the league for two years but played like a seasoned veteran during the Sabercats’ playoff run. In the ASFC Championship, Castle would tally 6 tackles, a pass defended and an interception to help seal San Jose’s ticket to the championship game. The interception came late in the 4th quarter and halted a potential game tying drive by the Otters. It was arguably the biggest defensive play of the game. In the Ultimus Championship Game, Spencer Castle and the San Jose defense hoped to shut down the Liberty offense much like they did last week in Orange County. Castle would finish the game with an identical stat line as the ASFC Championship including another big interception. The turnover came late in the first half as the Liberty were hoping to extend their 17-9 lead. The interception was caught with only 23 yards left for a pick 6. Although he would get tackled short of the end zone, his offense would score the very next play. This turnover helped cut the Liberty lead down to only 1 point before halftime. This was undoubtedly one of the most important plays of the game. All About The Quarterbacks The NSFC Championship was home to a great quarterback showdown. After highly successful seasons, Baltimore’s Childish Gambino and Philadelphia’s Adriana Falconi were ready to battle in the playoffs. Gambino was the obvious star this season with a campaign that might just win him the MVP award. But Falconi was ready to battle in hopes of a bid to the championship game. The quarterback battle started with a 10 yard touchdown pass by Gambino to Errol Maddox for the 7-0 Hawks lead. But Falconi would take over the game from there. With three passing touchdowns, Adriana Falconi led the Liberty to an 11 point comeback in the fourth quarter to win the conference championship. Although Childish Gambino would end the game with 289 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, it wasn’t enough to win the game or the quarterback battle. Adriana Falconi would outshine the Baltimore quarterback by putting up a 394 yard, 3 touchdown and 0 interception stat line. Falconi would end the game with a passer rating of 141.1. She put up such a performance that Gambino’s passer rating of 120.8 seemed subpar. The battle of these quarterbacks was a treat to watch as they fought for an Ultimus Championship appearance. It was everything you would have hoped for when two talented players face off. There was a combined 683 passing yards and 5 touchdowns between them. It was truly a spectacle to watch and will go down in history as a great showdown. (S14) Ultimus Week! - Daybe - 05-01-2019 11) Sit-down with a star Written: Interview a player from a team that is not your own that is in the playoffs. You must ask them four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. YOU MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS FOR CREDIT. 1. First off, congratulations on the Ultimini win. You had a great year. What do you think was the key to your success in Portland? Thank you! Our season was special from the start, and I think everyone could feel it coming even since the draft. Our LR was great, with experienced guys helping newbies and send-downs chatting with rookies. We also had tons of TPE where it mattered, as both our QB and WR set TD records. I think it was just everyone performing at an insanely high level, and pushing teammates to do better. 2. So where do you think you will go in the draft and what pick range? I'm pretty confident that I will be drafted in the first two rounds. I talked to almost every single team and had extensive discussions with some of them, which was a welcome change for me after not being scouted, like at all, during the DSFL draft. Based on the information I have, I can confidently say that I will go to the Yellowknife Wraiths, Baltimore Hawks, Philadelphia Liberty, Colorado Yeti, Chicago Butchers, Orange County Otters, San Jose Sabercats, Arizona Outlaws, New Orleans Second Line, or Austin Copperheads. I'm not completely sure which, but either way, I can't wait for the draft! 3. So is there any NFL/NSFL player, current or past, you're modeling your game after? Oh man, there are a lot of answers to this question. How about hall-of-famer Ian Bavitz? He's one of the greatest safeties of all time, leading his defense and his team to so many Ultimi while exibiting fantastic positional versatility, swinging between LB and S. I really aspire to follow in his footsteps as a safety. In terms of general players, I strive to match Dermot Lavelle's work ethic and success on the field. He did literally everything for his team: he caught two TDs - on offense - in a playoff game once. Also, he holds the career picks record (59), a record I'm coming for and hope to beat! 4. And finally, would you rather be a star on a bad team or a bench player on a championship team? I'm gonna preface my answer by saying that there's no team that would play me on the bench. Even the S9 NOLA defense had a spot to spare for me at LB. With that said, I'm going to take the championship team 10 times out of 10, as long as I feel like I'm helping the team be great - maybe talking in the LR, maybe spurring on my teammates to train. I eagerly anticipate building up whichever team I land on into a championship team again. 3) All about the QBs Graphic: Create a graphic on a QB matchup, (Pictures with side-by-side statistics). ![]() 13) That Magic Moment Graphic: Create a graphic immortalizing that moment ![]() 7) Next year Graphics: Create a statistical summary of what improvements your team has made from the previous year or why your team was better than their record. ![]() (S14) Ultimus Week! - Ben - 05-01-2019 Unsung hero: @Allplanet ![]() (S14) Ultimus Week! - AdamS - 05-01-2019 pbe pt PBE PT 10) Trades Written: Talk about a player who was traded this past offseason or was a free agent signing and how they will affect the Ultimus or Ultimini, or how they helped their new team in making the playoffs, or cost their old team. Fast forward to the end of the year after Baltimore also added other big names to bolster their run at a 2nd title, and Brown's ultimate effect on the Ultimus Championship was revealed. None. Baltimore lost, at home, to the former team that drafted Brown. With 9 minutes to go and an 11 point lead, the Hawks looked well on their way to the victory they'd paid for before Brown's former teammates led one of the most amazing comebacks in NSFL history that culminated in the Liberty taking the lead with 19 seconds left and crushing Brown's dreams much like the dreams of his hero Benedict Arnold were once crushed. Usually a free agent who signs with their old team's chief rival in order to more easily win a title is rewarded but in this particular case karma came back to bite him in the ass as Philadelphia went on to face San Jose in the Ultimus after they too won their playoff game on the road against the Orange County Otters. 11) Sit-down with a star Written: Interview a player from a team that is not your own that is in the playoffs. You must ask them four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. YOU MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS FOR CREDIT. Graphic: no graphic option Sitting down with orange County WR Sunnycursed @ADwyer87 HAVING LOST TO SAN JOSE, WOULD YOU EVER CONSIDER LEAVING THE OTTERS IN ORDER TO GO TO SAN JOSE FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF TRYING TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP? Nah, I already have enough hardware to go around. My goal now is just to get personal stats and also putting 100% of the blame for everything wrong that ever happens on my supporting cast. LET'S SAY FOR A MOMENT THAT YOU WERE TO ACTUALLY GO THROUGH WITH THIS SORT OF THING. YOU SWAP TO A DIVISION RIVAL AND THEN MEET THEM IN THE PLAYOFFS, WHERE THEY DEFEAT YOU TO MOVE ON TO THE ULTIMUS. CA YOU DESCRIBE IN DETAIL HOW BAD YOU WOULD FEEL ABOUT ABANDONING YOUR TEAM ONLY FOR THEM TO DEFEAT YOU? Yeah, if I did ever do that I would probably feel pretty shitty, especially if I was a running back from New England who liked to talk a lot of shit. WITH YOU HITTING YOUR PRIME AND GUS SHOWBIZ FIRMLY INTO HIS, YOU LOOK LIKE ANOTHER CLASSIC OTTER QB/WR DUO. DO YOU THINK YOU CAN REACH THE HEIGHTS OF YOUR PREDECESSORS? We will see. Right now I have always been the WR2, always the Phelps and never the Westfield, so to speak. Also as we've already determined, Showbiz sucks, so he wont be able to get the same production as Boss. WITH EXPANSION ON THE HORIZON DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AS A BIG ENOUGH ASSET THAT THE TEAM WILL PROTECT YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GO ELSEWHERE? I definitely think so. With Crush getting ready to retire, without me the Otters will have no one to throw to. Showbiz already tries to target opposing teams Cornerbacks as it is, he doesn't need help. |
