Joining a team like Yellowknife I was very excited for the season to start. The first week didn't go as planned for me or the team. Although since that game the Wraiths have been on the up swing firing off four straight wins. We started off the season with a 31-23 loss to Philadelphia at home, with nobody but the receivers having a good game. I ended up with one tackle on my debut, which has it turns out has been an outlier to how my season has gone so far. My stats have gone up since that game including getting my first sack in week five, but it was a tough way to start the season. The Liberty OL gave QB Adriana Falconi a clean pocket all day, and Falconi used it to pick us a part. But it wasn't all terrible has we held Philly to under four yards per carry on the ground and didn't give up a penalty on defense. It was a little bit of a shock coming from the DSFL to the pro game it was a little overwhelming at times but once I got those first game jitters out of the way, I know I'm ready to put my mark on the NSFL.

The most disappointing incident had to do with a recent resim of the Week 7 games. Armstrong’s main competition this season for the awards of Qaurterback of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player is Corvo Havran. The Hawks and the Otters faced off in a big game in week 7. The Otters are aiming to undefeated this season and they managed to continue on that journey with another big victory in Week 7. The issue came when in the first iteration of that game, Armstrong threw for 2 TDs and 0 INTs in an efficient game. Havran on the other hand had 2 INTs and sub 70 passer rating. Due to the resim, Havran had a stats boost that put him back in awards contention with an efficient 2 TD, 0 INT game with a 100+ passer rating. In the resim Armstrong had a 4 TD/2 INT game with a similar passer rating. The main gripe with the resim is that the first iteration of that game put Armstrong firmly in the drivers seat for the award. Now after the resim, not much has changed with Havran hot on Armstrong’s heels. It remains to be seen which QB manages to hold the other off for the end of season awards.

The Colorado Yeti's week 4 loss at home to the Yellowknife Wraiths was a disappointment in every sense of the word. First of all, it was the Yeti's first loss of the season after 3 fairly convincing wins. It would mean the Yeti could be 6-1 right now instead of 5-2, and Colorado could have a step up on the opponent - and rival - in the NSFC standings. Second, the score was certainly a disappointment. A 6 point loss at home? 33-27? While having one of the most pathetically timed fourth quarter punts in NSFL history directly after the Yeti's owner (infinitempg) had released an article documenting and analyzing pathetic punts? Ironic... and sad. Let's not forget that the Yeti actually blew a 27-19 lead in the fourth quarter. Big big sad Sad Third, there's the case of Ashley Owens' individual performance in that game. 22 rushes for 53 yards is just 2.4 yards per carry... he did notch a rushing touchdown, but still. And then, he also had a career low 3 receptions in the game, amounting to just 21 yards (and another touchdown somehow though). So all in all, week 4 was a disappointment for Owens for sure. Thankfully it seems the Yeti are getting back on track now.

After week 1 of the S19 regular season I was ecstatic. I was leading the league in receiving touchdowns with 3 and I really felt that this would be my breakout year. I was hyped, my team was hyped, the fans were hype, everyone was hype. Then week 2 hit, our first loss of the season. We only lost be 18 to the hawks so were we still happy. Not to mention that it was an away game. Now for my stats that game, they weren’t the best. I only had 48 receiving yards and 0 touchdowns. With that game my receiving touchdowns lead slowly started to diminish. (Quick Note - I just realized I'm a kick returner and I had over 100 return yards that game) Now this next game was really a SMACK in all of our faces. We went into New Orleans hungry for a win. What we came out with was an utter disappointment. Instead of a nice shiny win, we got blown out. You probably want to know the score….. I don’t want to talk about it. As for my personal stats, they were horrendous. I had 3 catches for 18 yards. I mean, at least I got a touchdown. (I just realized that again I got over 100 return yards to “yay” me)

Well shitballs friendos. Wraiths are screwing it up earlier than usual this season with a couple of gnarly losses to the Liberty and a loss to Chicago cause the sim gonna sim sometimes. Then with OCO currently with a firm lead on YKW we might be looking at missing HFA through the playoffs this season, not that it helped us a ton last season either, but what are you gonna do. Keep in mind we had a 5 game road schedule so that wasnt exactly easy for the numbers but yeah, we're gonna need some of that sim karma to come back our way in the playoffs so that we can make a big push this season because we're going to struggle to continue to compete as we start to age on offense. And hey checkl out big Cooter throwing all the yards and plenty of TDs but just being careless with the ball and chucking all kinds of interceptions. See I'm on pace to break into the top-5 for most INTs thrown in a season and I am gonna do it with one fewer game than most guys on that list. While also being at basically my peak TPE as well. Aint that bout a bitch? You work your ass off to be the best and sometimes the sim just tells you it doesnt give a damn about your plans and simply decides to throw a few crazy plays your way that result in your entire season going to shit. Whoopsie.

This season so far has been going really well for the Baltimore hawks, with only two losses to Yellowknife and OCO, so it is kind of hard to find disappointments. I think that the biggest one by far has to be the loss to Yellowknife. Yellowknife is a division rival and we were at home in Baltimore, so a win here would really have been nice, specifically come playoff time for seeding. It was looking like a win for us was really likely. We had the lead with 6 seconds left, and I got really excited that we would win. Of course, the sim and Cooter had to bash in my hopes, and Cooter threw a game winning, walk off touchdown to Nate Swift and Yellowknife won the game. This was a huge strike against us, as it seemed likely because of this that Yellowknife would have the tiebreaker on us if we had the same record when the playoffs start. Losing home games is always rough, especially when you see how much of an advatage that the sim gives home field advantage, but this espeically hurts because of WHO we lost to, and how much this could effect our entire season in the future.
