My team, the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers, should be going to the Ultimini because we’ve won our division. Well, we’re winning it so far given that at the time I’m writing this, there are two more games to be played. If we lose these last two games including one game to Norfolk, then we’d be tied in the division with Norfolk. But putting aside the winning record of this team, let’s look at some team stats as well. Third best team according to our passer rating. First in rushing yards and yards per carry. Second in receiving touchdowns. Now let’s look at individual stats for players on the team. Tom Sofa is the only QB in the whole DSFL that has a rating over 100 and has thrown for zero interceptions. We have two running backs in the top 5 with over 1000 yards. And both are hovering right around 5 yards per carry. Our top two receivers and our tight end are averaging over 11 yards per catch. Our defense is young but we also have some quality on that side as well. Egghands who plays defensive end, is the only rookie with over 15 tackles for loss and is tied for 6th in sacks. Both of our cornerbacks are in the top eight for pass deflections. Last but not least, our starters on the offensive line are not robots. And out of the top 3 players on the offensive line, we have 2 of them. All these numbers are surely impressive, but the only stat that really matters is… Myrtle Beach Best Beach. That’s why we’re going back to the Ultimini and that’s why we’re going to win.

Well, the season is coming to a close and the only thing we are truly close to winning this season is an earlier pick in this upcoming draft. Personally, that is fine by me since I knew what I was getting into when I was drafted here and that we would be going through a rebuilding period. Fortunately, with good drafting from S18 to S20, this rebuild is looking like it will be done sooner rather than later and with a ton of picks in this upcoming S21 class, we should be set up even better for a quick rebuild. Currently, our oldest players on the roster that are worth anything talent-wise, are Lucas Knight and Jammerson Irving, a defensive back and a tight end/wide receiver. We're pretty set for the future on offensive weapons for Jay Cue with Saba Donut, Jah Bur'Berry, Baby Yoda, and Willie B. Hardagain while on defense we have young players at pretty much every level of the defense ready to take the reigns from Knight and Irving as soon as next season. It's a sad time whenever a team goes through a transition from the old guard to the new, but this is looking like the offseason for that to happen especially with an expansion draft upcoming. So long story short, we need to fade out the older players now if we hope to compete for an Ultimus as early as next season.

You might think that an expansion team in the DSFL may not have a chance to win the Ultimini, but you would be wrong about the Birddogs. The Birddogs has the best S22 class and had the best draft in the DSFL capturing 18 active players, 17 of those with more than 100 TPE and four of them already have 200 TPE. Being an expansion team, the Birddogs had no send downs and were at a disadvantage in TPE, but they were able to have one of the most TPE gains per active player in the entire league. From the last update, the Birddogs average 166 TPE / player which places them fourth in this category. Comparing the Birddogs to London the Birddogs have 2 more active players and average 12 more TPE / player. At the start of this week, the Birddogs are sitting in tied in 2nd place. Winning three of these games will place should guarantee them a spot in the playoffs. Once in the playoffs the Birddogs will get another round of updates increasing the player TPE average. The more established teams have send downs that are maxed at 250 TPE. The Birddogs have three trade deadline re-creates that will be nearing 250 TPE next week. This will place the Birddogs in a very competitive spot to win the Ultimini.

The Portland Pythons are the best team in the league despite our record. If everything goes the right way for us I should see the trophy under my username. Our offense thought lackluster at the beginning of the season has kicked up things a couple of notches this last games. We have the right pieces and pretty much in every position we are solid especially at WR and CB. The only way we could win is if George doesn’t throw 2 ints per game. We also need HFA to not mess us up at away games and HFA to go right if we are home. I can’t believe people don’t believe we can win this it would be the perfect narrative from being the worst team in the league last year to winning the championship this season. Even if somehow we don’t win this championship it still ok because I still love the dudes in this lockerroom and proud to be a python. That’s the true feeling of a champion knowing that your lockerroom got your back even in the worst time and maybe it’s for their benefits they are still doing something to help so Good Luck to other teams You need it.

I believe my team, the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers, will continue their straight and narrow path into the playoffs and remain the top seed coming out of the SFC. I believe this because they were a ready doing well and right after the trade deadline went out and snagged about of free agents and new blood for the future! With all these new players to help fill in missing gaps and help keep the current players stay in form.

Myrtle Beach have one of the best linebackers in the league at this moment and is carrying this young defense with calling the shots. Their defensive line is doing well, and they have a good corner backs locking down the sides.

Players to look out far are:
Mouseman, T. - LB
Altidor [R], J. - CB

The offense is not one to shy away from, they are legit. They are led by a dominating running back tandem and a nice core of wide receivers/tight ends to help the quarterback.

Players to look out far are:
Frost, D. & Apollo [R], J. - RB
Sabor, A. - WR

I believe that Myrtle Beach will win the rest of their games in the season and go into the playoffs hot and on the right foot!

I came into the league, into the DSFL for Portland, not knowing anything about its history and knowing much about the strongest teams in the DSFL, most of which have continued to show their strength this season. I came in alongside a big rookie class that didn't know, and in turn wasn't beholden, to the Pythons recent hardships. We have worked hard to be a force in the league, to be a team that other players were scared to see on their schedule. We've fought every week to best the failure of previous Python teams and hold the keys to our destiny in the playoffs. At 6-6 and in second place in the conference, we're playing these last two games like playoff games. We've shown the DSFL we can beat the two number one seeds in the league right now with a fierce, unrelenting defense. That defense has pushed us to the one side and is our best chance to win it all.

But as the #1 running back on the team in a rushing league, I feel a lot of pressure to drive forward an inconsistent, often middling offense. So as much as I can say that our defense will lead us to victory and that "defense wins championships," I know, in the end, it'll be up to #7, Tatsu Nakamura, to carry Portland the extra yard to go from a three-win season to where we belong, at the top of the mountain.
