RE: (S29) PT 1 - Training Camp - Tesla - 05-27-2021 Well this is a bit of a difficult point task for Magnus and I as he does not actually participate in training camp for the Colorado Yeti per Clause Eighteen of his current contract. Instead his focus during time that would be dedicated to training camps is instead on the World's Strongest Man competition. He has finished first the last several years despite the change in his microchip that attempted to limit his strength. All it has served to do is require an off-season surgery to remove it and another to reinstall it before the season proper starts. Regarding his training for said competition it is honestly rather boring as it is handled by the foremost experts on medical and sports science in a bunker hidden in the mountains of Colorado. Who really wants to hear about the greatest minds of this generation being trapped in an underground facility to help prepare a large man for competition? That said the training at the Yeti facility is not much more entertaining as it is done under the watchful eye of a vile wizard and a sharply dressed moose. Which would be a terrific tandem for a buddy cop movie, but is hardly entertaining to see them go over how to tackle your problems when tackling is your problem. So regarding the specific questions asked Magnus' training camp went well and he was the one who reported late by not really reporting at all. His training camp is focused on maintaining his peak physical performance, and the team training camp is focused more on skills rather than strength. Based on how game one went I would say it did well for the team itself, but Magnus will take a game or two to catch up. There are a few secret plays that have been developed involving forbidden magics, but whether they ever see the light of day depends on the changing of a large number of legalities. Thank you for your time! We get to come back together and prepare for a new season. This year was a little harder than before, after winning it all, you almost want a slightly longer break to reset your mind and get ready for the grind. As usual, with this team, everyone showed up on time and ready to go, no over weight out of shape fools on this team. We welcomed some rookies in the building, help get them settled and ready to contribute right away. Then it is about getting down to it, how do we get back to what we did last season? I feel like we are in a good position to do well again, but man some other teams got better to. We got a rookie running back out there using the same number as our quarter back, so there are some definite trick plays incoming this season. Some have said they are actually one player split into two spots in order to really mess with the opposing teams. But who really knows. Doesn't matter how much we prepare, we still got to go out and perform on the stage every game day. Our goal every year is to make it back to the big game and bring home another trophy for the franchise. I've yet to be invited to a training camp since I declared my intent to join the league pretty late. I've definitely missed out on some potential opportunities, but I'm only looking forward at what opportunities may be on the horizon. In the meantime, I'm trying to stay fit and game ready until I get the right call - an invitation to a team that I'm truly excited to join. I've been working out with my private trainer and my cousins, TJ, JJ and Derek so far in the offseason which is always super helpful and super competitive. They've made a name for themselves in the NFL so it's certainly a great opportunity to hone my craft and continue to improve. JJ's got years of DE experience while TJ is one of the best edge rushers in the league. It's just been a fun spring of steadily getting better, now I'm looking forward to attending a training camp and hopefully making an impact from day 1. Edit: Well I've just found out through my agent that week 1 is actually tonight, so I will be missing all of training camp. I'll just hope to head out to the team's facilities after the Week 1 game tonight and try to get up to speed as quickly as possible. We had some fun with the rookies especially panning @TheCC who showed up and then had to wear a my little pony outfit while he ran some drills. That is just one thing that we did for all of the rookies, but you always have to get back in shape from the offseason where you were doing more of the fun stuff like go to Chick Fil A and drink lots of things that you wouldn't drink during the season. The Training Camp is more about getting back into game shape so you can be the best player that you can be. I think one thing that always gets me back into shape is listening to some Taylor Swift. I mean, how do you even get more pumped up than listening to the many sounds of the greatest artist that has ever lived in the entire world? You put that on your headset while you are working out or stretching since obviously you cannot workout with headphones while running routes. I am ready to get back to work and be the best player I can be as I spend another season down with the Kansas City Coyotes, probably my last season in the DSFL. I am looking forward to seeing what happens and getting to work. Going into the draft out of high school I played wide receiver so was trained well in that position for a long time. However, when I was drafted my talents were best used elsewhere as I was asked to swap to running back for the team and I was perfectly acceptable to do that. I enjoyed running back but it is all I have known for training camp in the pros so far and going back to wide receiver has been a little bit of remembering my old training and timing but also learning it all new from a pro level now. I will say the team has been all on time and working out asses off to make sure we get the most out of ever training session and every workout. We have been building a great mindset with our young guns who are all growing together and we're tired of being walked over in this league as we work and work to be the best we can. It payed off with a big win in week 1 and a very close loss in week 2 to the defending champions and we will continue to work as a family, not only as a team, to eventually win it all. I look forward to catching a ton of passes and touchdowns along the way. 246 words RE: (S29) PT 1 - Training Camp - Ry_ - 05-27-2021 PBE PT |
