Thomas Hollands, newly signed by the Tijuana Luchadores, wandered into the locker room to find multiple players, who will both not be named due to the non-disclosure agreement signed after the fight, threatening each other with knives. The players were circling around the other, brandishing their knives and yelling about the lack of respect given to the other. As Thomas looked on, Undisclosed Player One performed a knife trick, throwing his knife in the air and catching it with two fingers. Undisclosed Player Two countered this intimidation by making a strike, lunging towards Undisclosed Player One. As the fight reached a tipping point, Thomas decided to step in. Moving through the circling audience, he began to quote an inspirational blog he had read as a child. The Undisclosed Players turned to face him, their faces contorted in confusion. They did not appreciate the headstrong rookie, who had forgotten to register for the Draft, talking down to them. Thomas, in their minds, did not pay them the respect they both deserved. Together they forgot their differences and conflicts and dropped their knives, both punching at Thomas. Thomas panicked, attempting to reach for the knives strewn on the floor to no avail. He was knocked out, but when he woke was pleased to hear that no bloodshed occurred between the two Undisclosed Players.

A lot depends on what happened. Did someone say something that was clearly out of line, or did things even get physical? Assuming it was not anything too serious, I would have both of the players sit down with veteran player(s) of the team and talk everything through. Once everything is clear, both players could give a quick speech and maybe shake hands in front of the whole team, so it's clear to everybody that nothing is going on. I reckon it's not unusual for things to get a bit heated when competitive players spend so much time together, so in that sense, I don't think anything else is required in a ''not so serious'' situation.

However, if a proper beatdown happened or someone said something truly messed up, I would do the same and try to give all sides an opportunity to explain. I would rely on veteran player presence once again. If the case is clear and both players can't play in the same team anymore. I would pass this information to the coaches and they can then discuss things with the general manager. The player who started it all would be traded. I think that is the only way to keep the team together and also it would make the whole team look bad if the instigator stays and the other party is traded. The veteran players can then give a speech in front of the whole team that explains it all. I would also give the player at fault an opportunity to say bye to the whole team.

My method is pretty simple in all situations. Small group meeting first. Then based on the situation, I would try to keep things cool, so the team could hopefully move on.

My Submission:

Well first off, if a fight broke out in training I would ask everyone if and make sure they were and are ok. I would then start to approach the player that instigated the fight individually, ask him why he did it and then ask him to apologize to the team. I would then talk to the team and tell them that we are family, and we need to work together, as brothers and sisters and can't fight like that. I would explain that we need to be there for each other, and make sure they know what they did was unacceptable.

After that, I would watch over the team for like a week or two, make sure that they are all nice to each other and working together again. I would then talk to them again to make sure they still understand that we are a team and need to work together. I would then maybe take the team out for a big dinner to help grow the bond again, we can all get some food or beer or something and talk about anything we want to talk about. Family, opponents, past games, future games etc.

If this did not work. My backup plan would be to approach every single player individually and tell them individually that they need to work together with the other players.
