RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - Amulos - 08-06-2021 The season is at it's half way point. Your player has hopefully been performing up to your standards, but the sim gods are not always as nice as you want them to be and there is always things to improve on. Talk about one aspect of your player's game that you want to be improved upon by the end of the season, and how you plan on improving upon that certain aspect. I think when Romulus Roman was created, I had a Jamal Adams type idea of what I wanted him to do on the field. I wanted him to be a disruptive factor, decent at pass defense, but excelling in run defense and getting to the passer to apply pressure. So far this season I would say I have had a pretty good showing, with a decent amount of tackles, a lot of Passes defensed, a couple sacks and tackles for loss, as well as a safety (highlight of the season for me, even over my pick 6). One thing the Philadelphia defense has been great at is getting to the passer so I am definitely in the right spot to play to my strengths, and I am hoping that we can find ourselves in more situations where the safety blitz is more viable. In an ideal world, I would want to lead the league in sacks at the safety position, although I know for certain that is a very slim chance it would be a really cool statistic to hold on to about my career. I also want to improve on forced fumbles, creating those turnovers in order to give our (albeit very poor) offense a better chance to score (or turn the ball over again, hahaha), and plays into that enforcer safety type role I had in mind when I created Romulus Roman. RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - Alcott - 08-06-2021 My player Cole Maxwell, WR for the Colorado Yeti, is actually not living up to the high expectations set by a stellar rookie year. By no means do I mean to say he's having a bad year, just not as good as one would think after putting up 1400+ yards his first year in the big leagues. While there are undoubtedly some marked improvements, like almost doubling my touchdown total in just over half the amount of games and being on pace for about a third less drops on the year, he seems to have regressed in his explosive plays. While he maintains the exact same 6.3 catches per game so far he is down 2.3 yards per catch and 14.2 yards per game. I have since maxed out his agility attribute and started raising his competitiveness in hopes of being able to create more missed tackles and a higher catch rate to lower the odds of a dropped pass even further, especially as my player's targets per game appears to have decreased. If I'm able to come up with some added TPE with successful predictions I may need to boost his speed as well to try and outrun the defense when he does end up with the ball in his hands. RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - MMFLEX - 08-06-2021 If there is one thing Miles Weperom needs to work on it's his common sense on the football field. This player is a freak of nature. He jumps over the line to sack the QB, he bowls over blockers to get to the ball carrier, he makes incredible one handed interceptions, but he misses reads 80% of the damn time he's on the field. Honolulu would probably be undefeated if Miles wasn't such an idiot. This man needs to get his intelligence up! How you gonna line up in the middle of the field and spring across the weak side to cover the corner's man just because the receiver is a beast? Don't you know that QB's are supposed to read the defense? Don't you think they'll see the wide open tight end streaking down the seam? C'mon dummy! Even Ryan Negs could spot that! What happens when you line up 50 yards deep? I'll tell you what! The other team has a game of 11 on 10. Miles Weperom needs to spend less time in the weight room and dedicate all of his time in the film room. Has he even looked at the playbook? The Hahalua always run a risk with him on the field, but he's such a freak of nature and could flip the game upside down at any moment. His only knock is his football IQ. (231 Words) RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - Dagumpa - 08-06-2021 So far, it has definitely been a season. What would I improve about myself if I had the capacity to automatically do such a thing without having to wait for the very unpredictable claim threads to be released? Well, nothing. I mean, look at me: I'm perfect. On a scale from 1-10, I'm Jesus. I'm just kidding, I look like I live off of McDonald's French Fries. Anyway, I'd like to do more stuff. I don't really put up a lot of numbers. Safety, I'll admit, is kinda boring. I thought I'd be all over the place making tackles and PDs and whatnot. But I'm not really doing much. Maybe it's because QBs are too scared to throw my way. I want to believe that's true. Or maybe it's because I'm a free safety, aka the useless safety. Maybe I could put some work in the weight room and they'll move me to strong safety. We've been playing alright so I'm fine not really doing much. We have the best defense in our division. We really just need to start closing out games better. Or I could try to get some picks. But for the time being, I'll chill with my 3 tackle-a-game average. Beats being a benchwarmer, I guess. Not as good as being a receiver though... RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - Skindog44 - 08-06-2021 PT 30-3 Short term goals. What the season halfway over there's still a lot that I'd like to accomplish before the seasons end in my second year with the Dallas birddogs. Through seven games I have 17 tackles five tackles for loss one fumble recovery and five sacks. looking at tackles alone I'm about halfway from my overall tackles from last season and I think that number should be inflated a little bit or at least I was hoping it would be. tackles for loss I am only three away from tying last year's number and I think I have plenty of time to beat that and improve that number this season which would be an overall goal accomplished. I'm currently at 5 sacks which is the amount that I had last season and so I'm happy that this season will be an improvement with seven games left to go I hope I can get another 5. that is where I'm trying to make my money. I built this player to be a more impactful defensive force for the bird dogs this season and the defense has been struggling a little bit. I'm hoping to get a few more timely sacks and tackles for loss or forced fumbles that turn into turnovers or points in a timely manner in games that matter. I'd like to be a shut down on that side and that could be a result of why I have so less few tackles as they are running away from me and so if that's going to be the case I'd like to have more tackles for loss in sacks to make up for the overall lack in overall tackles. Due to being maxed out at 250 for DSFL there isn't a whole lot I can currently do other than just hope that he performs better during the sim Code: 311 RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - AW13 - 08-06-2021 So we are already 9 games into the season and things are actually not going too bad for the Honolulu Hahalua and my player, Joliet Christ Jr. When you look at the raw stats, Christ Jr. is 4th in the ISFL in passing yards and 5th in the league in completion percentage as well. If you did a little deeper there are some stats that he needs to improve on a bit and those are his touchdown passes or touchdown percentage, his interceptions and interception percentage, as well as his overall passer rating but the first two mentioned would improve the passer rating as the calculation for passer rating uses the TD and INT rates. He was actually doing pretty well in controlling the ball and preventing turnovers but has thrown 4, or over a 3rd of his season interceptions in his last 2 games but both being wins, it is 100% okay and he threw 3 touchdowns along with 3 interceptions in a multiple score win against the Butchers at home. I have focused on a lot of different things to get Christ to a more playable level and increased his athleticism to avoid more sacks as he was getting killed early on so it is time to go back to training some passing attributes. Getting intelligence and accuracy to 95 are my next goals and likely will try to train them staggered from each other so intelligence to 92 and then accuracy to 93 and so on until I max them at 95. I am very hopeful with the talent of this Honolulu future offense and I should hit my prime next season at least with passing ability! RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - Painted - 08-06-2021 Soulja's rookie season with Chicago has gone pretty well so far. We have won 3 games so far and hoping to pull off at least a couple more. Individually, Soulja shined in just his first game, notching an epic interception against his old teammate and interception king himself, Ryan Negs. That play alone has meant the season has been a success to him, and with the for fun bet made with Negs he even got some cash for it too! Over the season, Soulja now has 17 passes defended and 40 tackles, averaging 4 a game. Some modest stats for the rookie, but equally impressive as an outside corner. But if he wants to start getting into the running for DROY, these numbers need to be jumpstarted and fast. He’s currently second in both passes defended and tackles of the rookie corners, behind just Lip Gallagher. But his one interception is the real killer. Both voters and nominees really value passes defended and turnovers over everything else, especially for the defensive back position. What would really help his case would be a defensive touchdown. Voters rave over scoring, and racking up just one will definitely give him the edge over his competition! If Soulja just gets one or two lucky plays this season, I am sure you will see him on the ballot. And just being nominated for DROY, he will see that as a successful season! Talk about one aspect of your player's game that you want to be improved upon by the end of the season, and how you plan on improving upon that certain aspect. I've had a few really good games so far this season, highlighted in particular by week three vs. the Silverbacks where I got 2 sacks and forced 2 fumbles (though I only recovered one). But on the other hand, you have games like week ten at Honolulu where I had two tackles and no real impact on the course of the game. I know that defensive line is very swingy like this and some variation is always going to happen week to week, but I really want to feel like I'm helping. And that's actually the thing - even when I'm not getting stats myself I know that I'm actually helping out others by taking up two lineman, or by cutting off the crossing routes and forcing the QB to throw to a second or third read. But when it comes to showing people who aren't watching the game tape the impact that I'm having, I'd like a little more consistency there. As for how I'm going to improve to make that happen - well, I'm probably not. Altering the game plan to try and get more stats for myself is selfish and probably going to hurt us when it comes to trying to win the games. And the end of the day that win total is what I care more about than any of my personal stats. Especially after the enormous disappointment of last season's record, being in second and only 1 game behind first feels great. I'm just saying, I wouldn't mind also having a couple sacks every game. RE: (S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals - shrub02 - 08-07-2021 This season has been pretty rough so far. Apparently the sacrifice that I made to the sim gods was not sufficient enough. I feel like Bender and the Otters are underperforming this season. But that's the roll of the dice. I had high hopes for Bender at the beginning of the season. After overachieving last season he started off this season with a 2 sack game, the first of his career! I thought "ok great! He's building on his past success." That would not be the case. Since then he's only managed 2 more sacks. While Bender is getting more tackles than previously, his sacks, interceptions, and forced fumbles are all down from last season. I guess teams are figuring out how to stop him or something. But fear not! You figure out what kind of character someone has through adversity. And Bender is continuing to get better through training. Or drinking and smoking more than usual. I don't know he is doing whatever it takes makes an alcoholic robot get better. And that for sure is making him stronger, more agile, and competitive. The gains may not show until next season, but I guarantee you that Bender will be a sack making machine in the near future. 208 words |
