(S14) Ultimus Week! - YoungTB - 05-01-2019 Interview 1 1. What is your plan for next season? Will you stay up or down? 2. Are you confident in your future in the NSFL? 3. Would you rather be in Tijuana or Baltimore right now? 4. What are you looking to improve on next year? As far as I know the current plan is to stay atleast one more season down in the DSFL. Gambino is still bossing it up in the NSFL with Baltimore, so it only makes sence for me to keep working on my skills before making the move up to the big league and taking over for Gambino. 100% confident in my future in the NSFL. They say cockyness can be a curse, but it is also important to be confident in your own skill. Once I get into the NSFL I might have to adjust for a season or so, but once that has happened I expect to be tearing it up. Honestly that is a tough thing to answer. I think the team we have in Tijuana is great, we had two back to back apperances in the finals and have won a cup. The people in Tijuana are some of the most amazing I have worked with. On the other hand being with Baltimore and actually playing in the big show where it all really matters would be such an achievement and be great to do. For now though I will bide and wait for my time to shine in Baltimore. What I hope to improve on next season is throwing less interceptions. While ten was the lowest in the league of starting QB's I still think scoring so many interceptions is a little ridiculous. I should be better than that. I need to be more in line with my team mates and their skills and patterns. Once the draft has happened and the new team has been added I really want to train hard with everyone to improve our connection on the field. @Raven Interview 2 on Raven's PT Podcast for rivalry and maybe next year: https://soundcloud.com/user-287547526/ultimus-week-1 (S14) Ultimus Week! - youngcricket - 05-01-2019 1. Here is my prediction for what happens in the Ultimini... Pythons win. I think that a lot of people don't believe in the Pythons, and maybe there is some reason why. There is the disliked Leighton Lee. The guy whose predecessor was not only a villain, but ended his career hated by many across the NSFL. Then there is a guy like Gekuyeme Stokeley. The send-down, which qualifies him as a villain in some people's eyes. The guy who came back for a second season in the DSFL to crush the hopes and dreams of opposing teams. The Pythons aren't the most liked team in any regard, but they are one of the best. They have a very formidable defense with the rise of Emoji and D'voritta (or whatever). Add in guys like Ridley and Grievous and you've found yourself a team full of youth and talent. I don't know who they will have to play or the success they have had against them early in the season, but I do know that they are an extremely talented team that fears no other team. Their offense has an elite quarterback with an elite runningback to go with it. This is going to be a hard team to stop and I have them winning. 3. QB matchup? This one is honestly pretty easy. It has to involve the MVP front-runner, Franklin Armstrong, and Corco Havran. Two guys who absolutely sling the ball around. I firmly believe the Franklin Armstrong will play better in this game for a few reasons. The first being, I believe that he is surrounded by a better all-around running game and receivers. I believe this allows him to have a bigger opportunity to showcase his skills and show the world why he set the record for passing touchdowns in a season in a Pythons uniform. The second thing would be something that isn't necessarily on the quarterbacks, but the defenses they face have different reputations. The Pythons defense is one that is the stingiest in the league. They bend and they don't break, they just keep people from getting points. Not the best at forcing turnovers, but they do turn most people away from the end zone. This will be an issue for Havran, as he will struggle to move the ball on the Python secondary. Additionally, the Luchadores have a flashy defense as they get a lot of turnovers, but they will allow yards and the Pythons will have an easier time carving them up than the other way around. 6. Its our time and its that simple. The Pythons are an elite level organization and have always been a very elite one. The defense is too strong. If you look at our defense up and down, we just have start players who play sounds defense and will be going to the Pro Bowl. On the DLine, we just have a lot of guy who get after the quarterback and play good contain on the edges. This allows the linebackers of the defense to play very aggressive. We arguably have the best linebacker squad in the DSFL, which is a huge advantage. We also have an advantage when it comes to our secondary. We have an elite experienced player in Emoji as well has guys like 124715 and Ridley which allow us to play fast and to the ball defense. Toss in that we have the MVP front-runner in Franklin Armstrong on offense to go along with one of the most potent three headed monsters at running back that we have seen in a long time, and there is a recipe for success. I don't know exactly what the reputation of this team will be in the future, but I know that right now this is one of the more talented teams the DSFL has seen and they will end up winning. 8. I have no specific issue with Johnny Slothface, but I know that he is a player that is very good and plays the same position as me. He was on my coattails all season, even though I ended up besting him by 27 tackles. He had more sacks than me, but thats about all he did better than me. I feel like he is a slightly less developed version of me and I don't want him to be better, so I root for him to lose. I also believe that he can overtake me one day, so I want to be better than what he is. In addition to this, I want him to lose because we play him in the championship. There is more to a rivalry than just individual stats or what we do on the field "against each other." What I want to gain from my experience and rivalry is to win a lot of games and win championships, which is what I will have the opportunity to do against Slothface in the championship. My stats mean nothing if they are empty and don't have wins to back them up. So for this reason I need Slothface to lose because it means that I win. 9. It's funny that I even have to write about the Marshals because I honestly pity them. The thing about the San Antonio Marshals is that they were the "favorite" all year, but I don't think they have the same talent that we have. I look at their roster and I see a good, not great team. A team with a good quarterback and a decent offense, but not one with the top to bottom talent that we have. They do have an incredible quarterback in Cooter Bigsby, but I just don't like him. I know he's the biggest rival with Franklin Armstrong and I think that puts a chip on our shoulders as we play them. Morgan Marshall is a good RB, but he bares too much of the load in their backfield, whereas ours is balanced. I think as a defensive player I don't like them because they have the second best QB/RB duo and I want badly to beat them and see us crowned champions. They are also kind of loud about having a very solid regular season, one of the best ever. That means nothing though, and I want to prove that to them. The Pythons are more than that. (S14) Ultimus Week! - JKortesi81 - 05-01-2019 Task One: SHL PT Task Two: PBE PT Task three: Next Year: I know people in the NSFL are getting sick of it, but yet again, S15 is going to be the time for the Orange County Otters to win their league record 6th Ultimus championship. The Otters still produce at an alarming rate on offense. Gus T.T. Showbiz is one of, if not THE best QB in the league. He once again has a crazy amount of weapons at his disposal. He has Ricky Adams and Seer Zephyrous in the backfield. At wide receiver, he boasts Sunnycursed, Django Anoai, and Carlito Crush. His tight ends are Glenn McPoyal and Jonny Blaze. The Otters are crazy good on offense. But their defense is also chock full of superstars as well. Starting with Mason Brown and Danny Grithead racking up tackles. Most of the Otters are in their primes, and coming off a season where they finished (yet again), first overall in the league, there’s no reason to think the Otters would drop off from their 11-3 record. Sure, they ended up losing to eventual champion San Jose in the playoffs, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that they were the season’s best team, and aren’t losing much from the roster that just walked all over the league. (209) Task four: Ultimus Review: This season’s Ultimus was between the two lower seeds in each conference, the Philadelphia Liberty and the San Jose Sabercats. The game was a bit of a defensive battle for the first quarter, as the teams just traded field goals, as they felt each other out. In the second quarter, San Jose went up 6-3, before Bucky Barnes broke the game up with a 46 yard touchdown return to make it 10-6 Philly. Fast Boija would add a TD of his own and the Liberty held a 17-6 lead with 6 minutes to go in the half. However, San Jose would make a field goal to cut the lead to 17-9, and then Xavier Flash would score with 2:23 to go in the half to pull San Jose within a point. The second half saw San Jose make the better halftime adjustments as Neo Donaldson added another field goal to give San Jose the lead 19-17, and then Zapp Brannigan scored to have the Cats go up 26-17. Jordan von Matt would score not too long after that to pull the Liberty within two points 26-24. But Another Donaldson field goal would be followed by a Chris Orosz touchdown with 1:26 left in the game to give San Jose a 36-24 lead that would also be the final score, as the Sabercats would go on to win their first ever championship! (233) (S14) Ultimus Week! - plantane - 05-02-2019 1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews: Written: Give a short write up of one or multiple playoff matches. If completed before the airing of the sims have predictions, after if it is a review the game. The Ultimini game was all over the place for Pythons' star quarterback Franklin Armstrong. It goes without saying that a lot of the headlines will be centered around his impressive successes and his painful mistakes throughout this game. With 3 touchdown passes tying a dreadful 3 interceptions, Armstrong's play risked losing the game for his team. However, after leading the league in touchdowns this year, his play also seems to be the thing that keeps the team competitive on the board. The score of the game isn't fully representative of how both teams played on the field in this game though. With only 268 yards allowed, the Pythons' defense held tough against the Luchadores' offense except when it was cursed with horrible field position by the interceptions. On the flip side, Armstrong was able to lead the Pythons' offense to an incredible 499 yards even after losing three possessions to turnovers. The time of possession was also heavily skewed to the Python's favor, with them controlling the ball for 37 minutes and 38 seconds of the game. While the Luchadores' offense did not make any huge mistakes and the Pythons' defense was not able to force any turnovers, the Luchadores were not able to produce enough points to match Armstrong and the Python offensive front. 3) All about the QBs Written: Write 200 words on one of the QB matchups in this year's playoffs. What are you most excited to see (Or excited to have seen), who will play better (Or who played better), etc. A QB comparison between Corvo Havran and Franklin Armstrong in the Ultimini is quite tough. By QB rating, Armstrong has the advantage, but that might be a little misleading. Armstrong does have the advantage in completion percentage, as he attempted 4 more passes to complete 8 more total. In addition, the average reception is close at 10.7 for Havran and 11 for Armstrong, but that statistic itself is flawed because it doesn't account for yards after catch. The biggest points of controversy, however, are the touchdown and interception numbers. Havran had 0 of each, proving that he wasn't necessarily able to have his way with the Python backfield, but also that he wasn't taking any unnecessary risks throwing the ball. Alternatively, Armstrong had 3 of each and the interceptions all directly led to points for the Luchadores. Therefore, the Pythons only net 4 points this game if you offset the points from touchdowns with the points from interceptions. This is a controversial way to look at it, but it does end up leaning in Armstrong's favor. In conclusion then, while Armstrong had a much more volatile game, with more points scored for both teams, his superior completion percentage really made the difference to keep the Pythons' offense going and to keep the team from losing momentum to the turnovers. 4) Head to Head Matchups Written: Write about two offensive and defensive players that will go against each other in the playoffs or who have faced off in the playoffs, can be DL/QB, WR/CB, RB/LB or whatever matchup you see fit. The NFC championship game in the DSFL had a unique pair of matchups at wideout with two of the best cornerbacks in the league (Emoji, Ridley) facing off against two of the best wide receivers in the league (Espeeyeeseetee, Landers). Ultimately, both pairs challenged each other and battled throughout the course of the game, but only some of the story can be told from the stat sheet. Straight from the first play, Ridley deflected a pass intended for Espeeyeeseetee, making a statement that he wouldn't be pushed around. However, right after that play, Landers challenged Emoji and made a 14 yard completion to remind both corners that the receiver duo was extremely dangerous. While the first couple of drives proved ineffective for the Seawolves' offense, the third drive involved 31 yards from passes to Espeeyeeseetee, essentially responding back to Ridley by showing him that containing the receiver may be impossible. On the possession following that one, Emoji snagged an interception on the first play, which involved a pass intended for Landers. Once again, the Python backfield responded strongly with a statement of their own for the Norfolk receiving duo. On the Seawolves' first drive in the second half, Landers caught 2 passes for 32 yards against Emoji and Espeeyeeseetee caught 2 passes for 36 yards against Ridley. The receiving pair set their team up for a touchdown to start the half and a huge shift in momentum against the Python secondary. The remainder of the game maintained a balance between the two pairs until a 30 yard reception by Landers left a chip on Emoji's shoulder. In the final play of the game, Emoji would use it to push himself to hold Landers to a 10 yard reception and stop him from scoring a game-winning touchdown for the Seawolves. 13) That Magic Moment Writen: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch. In the beginning of the fourth quarter of the DSFL NFC championship game, the Pythons were trailing the Seawolves 3-13. The Pythons weren't playing a horrible game by any means, but they weren't quite able to put the pieces together and figure out how to beat the Norfolk team. The quarter started with the Pythons' offense able to at least find the end zone with a field goal to bring the lead down to only 6-13. However, with the Seawolves receiving the ball and it barely being a one touchdown game in the fourth quarter, the Pythons would need to play extra hard to prevent the lead from getting any worse and to have enough time to catch up. That's when it happened. Out of nowhere, LB Lanzer Grievous dives to steal the ball on a throw intended for Dorfus Jimbo and sprints all the way into the end zone. A 22 yard play. Touchdown Pythons! All of a sudden, the game is tied 13-13. Anything could happen now; the next team to score would likely be the team to win the game. All of a sudden, victory was attainable for the Pythons and the Seawolves were threatened by the jaws of defeat. The Seawolves made a respectable drive to midfield, but decided not to go for it on 4th and 2. The Pythons took advantage and stole the lead for the first time in the entire game with a field goal. No points would be scored after it and the immense shift in momentum caused by the Grievous pick six would prove to be the catalyst to propel the Pythons to the Ultimini, which they would then win as well. Without the unexpected pick six, the current Ultimini champions may not have even made it to the big game itself. Grievous provided the inspiration that the team needed to reach the next level to win playoff games. The first being the Tijuana Luchadores, a team heavily picked to lose up against the regular season champions and favorites for the Ultimini, the San Antonio Marshals. Though, through the combination of a stout defense effort and a MVP-like showing from Tijuana Running Back, Forrest Gump; The Tijuana Luchadores managed to upset the 13-1 San Antonio Marshals. The second team that was featured in the finale of season 14 was the Portland Pythons, a team that was almost upset in the playoffs by the 6-8 Norfolk Seawolves. After playing excellently over the regular season the Portland Pythons were first tasked with defeating the Norfolk Seawolves if they wanted any chance to continue on for the Ultimini. Though being the worst team in the playoff the Seawolves still had some excellent defensive players including the newly acquired Ryan Leaf Jr who racked on a key fumble while the Pythons were driving into the Seawolves redzone. Adding to the impressive defensive effort which held the Pythons to 3 total points through the first three quarters, stunning the world. The only touchdown the Python would score would be from a pick-six in the fourth quarter from Python Corner Back Grievous G. This would prove to be enough as the Pythons barely scrapped passed with a 16-13 win. Though in the conclusion of this playoff series it would be the Portland Pythons being the first team to strike with Portland Running Back Rkansaw diving into the endzone for a 4 yard gain putting the Pythons up 7-0 with 8:39 left in the first quarter. The Luchadores were quick to respond after Tijuana Linebacker Slothface picked off Franklin Armstrong at the Python 16 yard line. Immediately followed by a 6 yard run for Forrest Gump tying the score at 7-7. Almost instantly after, Armstrong is picked off again leading to 3 more points being chipped on for the Luchadores. To close out the half the Pythons add on two field goals from Portland kicker Dasistwirklichseinnachname ending the first half at 13-10. The Luchadores were able to start the half out quick in due to the third interception from Franklin Armstrong. The Luchadores weren't able to capitalize though with a touchdown, settling for just a field goal. A bit shaken from the third interception the Pythons managed to rebound and score after a 20 yard pass to Running Back Rkansaw leaving the score at 20-13. After driving down the field with 1:48 left in the third quarter Tijuana kicker Harris Jr in heartbreaking fashion missed a 31 yard field goal signaling the end. With only 1 quarter left to play and needing points it proved to be a fatal blow for the chances of Tijuana wining the Ultimini. The Pythons didn't let up, upping the score to 27-13 after a 8 yard pass to Catchyman. The Luchadores though weren't going out without a fight with Forest Gump leading the charge with an 94 yard Kickoff return, and with the help of Zoro Rorona with a 1 yard dive the Luchadores managed to get back into the fight at 27-20. In the end this attempt proved futile as the Pythons drove down the field ending with a 9 yard touchdown pass to Catchyman to put the nail in the coffin. And even though the Luchadores attempted a final comeback, the drive stalled out on Portland's 16 yard line. Leaving the Portland to just run the time out and celebrate over their victory; ending a suprising playoff series, finished with a back and forth battle between two closely paired teams that little expected would both be there. (S14) Ultimus Week! - timeconsumer - 05-02-2019 5) Spotlight on Youth - Only task that is specifically for the NSFL and not DSFL Written: Write 200 words on one of the players in this year's Ultimus Week that are Season 12 or newer and spotlight on how they can affect this year's Ultimus. (Or have affected) Graphics: Create a graphic of a Season 12 or newer player with a statistical breakdown on their season. Let's talk about the unsung heroes of the NSFL, the kickers. Neo Donaldson is a season 12 player that had a massive impact on the San Jose Ultimus win this season. While winning handily 36 to 24 seems like they had it under control the entire time, let's focus on what kind of impact that kicker actually had. San Jose scored three touchdowns, that's 12 points. Philly also scored 3 touchdowns. The difference in points came from the trust San Jose had in the leg of Donaldson. He sank 5 field goals during this game. And these weren't chip shots either, Donaldson was booting these from 30+ and 40+. He sank every FG he had in front of him and every XP and the kind of confidence they had in him for that led to the next part.. Now I know what you're thinking, what about the punts? Well they had no punts. That's right, SJS never punted the ball in the Ultimus. When you're staring at a 45 yard FG in a 1 score game do you go for the kick or boot it to the 1 yard line and hope your defense can get a good stop? San Jose goes for the kick, and gets it. 7) Next year Written: If your team has been eliminated, why will next year, or the year after that, be the year that your team is going to win the Ultimus or Ultimini. Graphics: Create a statistical summary of what improvements your team has made from the previous year or why your team was better than their record. Season 16 is going to be the year of the Wraith once again. While everyone is going to be scrambling to recover from the expansion draft stealing all their players Yellowknife is going to be sitting with a rockstar young roster ready to compete that season and go for it all. They will have Cooter Bigsby with 700 TPE or more at that point, the elite young QB will be ready. They will have several wide receivers with 800ish TPE. They will have an elite running back with probably 1000 TPE. The defense will be no slouch either, with guys like Selich, Bakshi, and Snuggles plus all the young draftees from the amazing S15 draft class there will be nothing else like it in the NSFL when the season 16 wraiths step onto the field. There will be high flying air attacks. There will be ground n pound rushing attack. There will be playmaking defensive backs snatching balls and monstrous defensive linemen mauling quarterbacks. The Wraiths will stomp all over perennial contenders like Baltimore, San Jose, and Orange County like they aren't even there. The expansion teams won't know what hit them. Colorado might still suck. Winter is Coming in Season 16 and the North Remembers. 11) Sit-down with a star Written: Interview a player from a team that is not your own that is in the playoffs. You must ask them four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. YOU MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS FOR CREDIT. Graphic: no graphic option 1) How does it feel to join a dream team like the Season 14 Hawks only to see them lose in a first round playoff home upset to your old team? It hurts, no doubt about it. We worked all year and we all put up an incredible season, but seeing us fall short of getting to the big game was disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, the better team won. We just have to run it back and finish stronger next year. 2) In a prior season following a very emotional loss with Philadelphia's kicker Kulture Fulture missing the game winning kick you voiced some serious doubts about his ability. With him kicking the game winning FG with 19 seconds to go in this year's playoff win do you feel he redeemed himself to Philadelphia fans? Well I never attacked him personally like some people want to believe. I was pissed at the refs for some of the calls they were making in that game. The very fact that it even came down to a FG was disappointing and we should have won that game outright. Like I said I never attacked Fulture and I see him as a fantastic kicker. 3) After an outstanding season with over 1500 yards and 16 TDs, including a 125 yard and 2 TD playoff stat line do you think Marquise Brown can top himself next season? Absolutely. Plenty more where that came from. I’m still at the tip top of my game and I’m improving every single day. The wheels ain’t falling off any time soon. 4) What is the future like for the Baltimore Hawks and how do they plan to keep in contention? Like I said, we’re gonna run it back next year and get ourselves and the city of Baltimore a ring. Beyond that is up to the organization, but I hope I’m a part of the future. PBE PT http://probaseballexperience.jcink.net/ind...indpost&p=75619 (S14) Ultimus Week! - ARJ04 - 05-02-2019 Playoff Predictions: Review The Ultimus Bowl finals was between the Philadelphia Liberty and the San Jose Sabercats. I don't really know who was figured to win this game going into the finals, so it's hard to say if someone was the underdog or not but let's do a quick recap. The game opened with an early field goal by Kulture Future, which was then later answered by Neo Donaldson. Donaldson made another field goal in the start of the second quarter to give the Sabercats the lead before Bucky Barnes made a great pick six to bring the Liberty up the field and score a touchdown. Fast Bojia then ran in a touchdown to give the Liberty a healthy advantage before Neo Donaldson nailed another and Xavier Flash caught a touchdown of his own. Donaldson then made his fourth field goal of the day before Zapp Brannigan made a touchdown pass. Jordan von Matt made a touchdown reception to keep the Liberty in the game, bringing the score to 24-26 in favour of San Jose. But the Sabercats weren't done yet as Neo Donaldson nailed another field goal and Chris Orosz ran the ball in to gave the Sabercats the Ultimus Bowl win. All about the QB's So quarterbacks get a lot of love even in real life and I'm gonna give them even more love now. So in the Ultimus final we had two quaterbacks playing, Joliet L. Christ and Adriana Falconi. Looking purely at the stats, I think the quarterback who had the better performance in the finals was definitely Christ. Despite not having the same volume of plays where he threw the ball he did really well when he was able to let loose the cannon and really helped vault his team to the win. Throwing two touchdowns and only one interception in the game also gave him an edge in points scored for his team, and he really shone all game. This isn't to say that Falconi didn't do well too, because she was really great, but Christ just looked awesome out there. If we compare receiving talents that these guys had as well, I think Christ definitely had the upper hand which might be why he succeeded so much. If it came down to the talent on the receiving end, I think maybe Falconi would have won this match up but the Sabercats were just better built when it all ended, and they took the win. Spotlight on Youth Okay so the big performer in this game was definitely Fast Boija. In his rookie season he did really well, and he came up to the Philadelphia Liberty and was a big performer in the final game of the season. Despite only having ten attempts he put up 30 yards and had a really important touchdown which helped his team win, and I think without him this game would have been a lot further apart. Even though thirty yards isn't really all that good, it still definitely helped out the Liberty, and took some of the pressure off of Falconi to lead the team by herself. Ryland Morley was another guy who was a rookie in this game, but he is a defensive line guy and didn't have a very big presence. When it comes down to it I think that running backs must just peform really well out of the gate, or maybe Boija was better prepared coming into this game, because honestly he rocked it. Scoring a touchdown in the Ultimus Game that could have swayed the score towards a win must have been an awesome feeling, and I think Boija definitely takes the cake on top youth performance for this game. Enemies So I'm not in the league yet but I can choose a player that I want to be rivals with and that is Dermot Lavelle Jr. because he is currently the other top corner back prospect in this draft class. He's a good earner and is a recreate so I will probably have trouble beating him in terms of where I go in the draft, but I think the two of us should have a good rivalry for years to come. We both play zone defense for our archetype, but I think I take the win in terms of actually playing that position because he likes to tackle more and I like to intercept the ball more. I want to be a guy that my team can depend on to make interceptions and score points and I think Lavelle just wants to be a part of that defense. I think kick returning will also be something I want to do a lot of, and with my speed I will be better than Lavelle without any questions asked because I'm going to be able to dart around the slow defensive guys using my agility and speed and shouldn't drop the ball because I have good hands too. I think this will be a good rivalry for sure. (S14) Ultimus Week! - KingCollins - 05-02-2019 Next year: Next year will be the coyotes for sure! We are home to many of the top offense and defensive prospect including the likes of Terry Taffy, Cameron Olsen, and Lightsout Lewis! The NSFL draft will be filled with current coyotes going high and giving their teams a solid, active locker room presence. There’s exciting new change regarding our GM, and I’m ready to see what new schemes they will come up with as they have some break over an offseason. They look to set up a new offensive scheme that will really change our Ultimini chances next season. Our linebacker corp was really lacking, so the addition of Lightsout Lewis should be huge and definitely worth the first rounder we may have given for it. We also have one of the top up and coming NSFL quarterbacks in Rose Jenkins, and she will look to break some records with a bevy of receiving talent. The subtraction of a sub par quarterback in Ryan Leaf should allow our offense to perform significantly better, which benefits our star running back and star tight end. All in all, the Kansas City Coyotes have a real chance to shock the league next season and perform an ultimini run. Trades: Ryan Leaf was a polarizing prospect to say the least. Coming into the KCC LR, there were reports he was causing issues with the starting KCC QB, Rose Jenkins. Eventually, the news leaked that Kansas City was looking to trade the outspoken player, and Leaf soon began to list teams he wanted to be traded to and let the news of the incident spill across the league. Word began to get out that Leaf was eating a ton, and eventually confirmed his new position of a defensive tackle when he was sent to Norfolk. This comes at no cost for the coyotes, Leaf has underperformed as a quarterback and the subtraction of him will certainly allow us to run our offense better and smoother. No doubt about it. This might come at a cost to Norfolk though. Leaf hasn’t been able to rack up many stats at either of his positions, and his unwillingness to learn and get in the gym might put Norfolk in a poor situation. They paid a price to get Leaf, so they will want to start him, and that might take away a better defensive line spot. We’ve seen how important defense is, looking at the Pythons here. Time will tell how important this trade is, but I think this trade benefited the Coyotes, and possibly hurt Norfolk. Robbed I think the Coyotes were robbed of a deserving playoff spot. Firstly, running backs Farley Hank and Jay Quick were not properly updated. For a run-first team, this decimated our offense. We needed to rely on the passing efforts of Jenkins and Leaf. Jenkins has shown to be an amazing quarterback, Leaf not so much, so our offense quivered. Secondly, multiple of our games had the wrong strategy in the sim, so again our offense, already 6 or so games down the drain, barely could function. Finally, at Coach McGriddle’s request, he wished for another GM to step up to fill his void. So a season marred with technical mishaps and missed opportunities, we had to basically step out the rest of the season whilst we let our newly crowned GM’s work their magic. They made some great trades and will be great next season. We are more deserving because we have endured a lot, all the way from the sim not working, to forced dealing with a locker room cancer. We are way more deserving of a playoff and Ultimini spot than most other teams in the league. Our Time This is our time! The Coyotes have far too long suffered from many mishaps and bad players, but finally, we are through all of that. I think a season of showing what we got is enough to win an Ultimini. Again, our offense is loaded with stars Rose Jenkins at the helm at QB, Cameron Olsen as our star tight end, and Terry Taffy as the workhorse running back. We even have talent on the other side of the ball, with Lightsout Lewis, a star linebacker among other talented players. We’ve got a new coach with innovative new ideas who will adapt on an already prolific offense set up by Coach McGriddle. With his new scheme, teams are going to struggle to adapt to us and will certainly struggle to shut down all of our talent. There’s nothing that the talent in KCC can’t do, and it's only a matter of time before the rest of the league gets the memo. We’ve had a down season, but we will build up through the draft and free agency, and before you know it, you’ll see Taffy and Olsen catching touchdown passes against your favorite team in the Ultimini. Go ‘Yotes! :coyote: :coyote: :coyote: (S14) Ultimus Week! - Tomen - 05-02-2019 1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews: Written: Give a short write up of one or multiple playoff matches. If completed before the airing of the sims have predictions, after if it is a review the game. I will be talking about the game that determined the winner of the NSFC which was the Philadelphia Liberty versus the Baltimore Hawks. First off this was a bit of a David versus Goliath match as the Hawks made a blockbuster deal with the Colorado Yeti this regular season that made them look like the favorite to win them all this season but surprisingly the Philadelphia Liberty pulled through this hard task and won against the Baltimore Hawks. In the first quarter it was 7 to 3 in favor of the Hawks via a receiving touchdown from Errol Maddox. The 2nd quarter saw both teams scoring a touchdown one being run in by Marquise Brown and the other being caught by Roger Batoff. The 3rd quarter was the same old story.. another Brown TD as a runner and a receiving TD caught by Davenport. The 4th quarter tho is where the Liberty made their fans really proud by only allowing one TD as usual which was caught by Viggo Squanch who was acquired earlier in the season via the big trade with the Colorado Yeti. However Kulture Future the unsung hero of this game managed to kick 2 Field goals. One from 55 yards which was crazy and another just 19 seconds before the game ended being 32 yards away. Between these 2 scores Batoff caught a 47 yard Touchdown pass from Falconi. 3) All about the QBs Written: Write 200 words on one of the QB matchups in this year's playoffs. What are you most excited to see (Or excited to have seen), who will play better (Or who played better), etc. I am going to look at the decider of the NSFC match again since it was just such an intriguing game because of the David versus Goliath matchup they had. This time it was Falconi versus Gambino. Gambino is the league MVP and had recorded the best Passer Rating in NSFL single season history this season. All in all it can be seen that Falconi's great performance in this game is what secured the Liberty the upset against the Hawks. Falconi was only 17.2 Points of a perfect passer rating with her 141.1 which is quite impressive since she went 25/34 throwing for almost 400 yards and 3 TD's in a highly contested playoff game. Gambino on the other had a good game but it just wasn't as great as Falconi's because he completed 26/34 of his passes which was better than Falconi but his yardage only made it to 289 with an average of 11.1 yards per completion compared to Falconi's 15.8 yards per completion which is such a great performance. Gambino also only managed to throw 2 Touchdown's in this game compared to Falconi's 3. Falconi also managed the time better than Gambino with having possession of the ball at 5 minutes more than what the Hawks managed to do. 7) Next year Written: If your team has been eliminated, why will next year, or the year after that, be the year that your team is going to win the Ultimus or Ultimini. Well the Wraiths had a bit of bad luck this season which some quite close losses. Week 5 in Philadelphia comes to mind which was a 17 to 16 loss. If you reverse that we are at 7-7 and the Liberty are at 8-6. Next one is the Week 14 loss to the SaberCats which was a 23 to 20 loss. Give us here a made field goal by forfeit and we are tied and possibly win which would make us tied with the Liberty. People also seem to forget that we added quite a few of rookies this season whose play will only improve as well as finally getting future HoFer QB Cooter Bigsby on the team and S14 champion Jerrod Canton on our team. This means even with Dick WIzardy's departure the Wraiths will have a great Running Back that should complete our stud offense together with Cooter as the new young signal caller in Yellowknife. The defensive performance should improve with Snuggles developing into a great Lock Down Corner and fresh Defensive player of the Year and Linebacker of the year in Alex Selich who will stuff the middle and wreak havoc on the opposing offense. We will miss Applehort and Forfeit but the replacements have already been drafted and will show what they can do. 17) Banner SHL PT |
