DSFL GM Chat Punishment - gucci - 03-13-2020
This reaction is kinda hilarious imo. If you didn't see the memes (not porn) being posted then you really don't have a right to comment on the severity of the punishment.
If we want to make certain discord channels a meme-free zone, then tell us the rules of the channel. Otherwise things like this will happen occasionally. Sure it showed a lack of maturity as a whole from the DSFL GMs, but I maintain a facade of maturity all week at my real job, with real consequences, and real money at stake. Discord isn't supposed to be this serious.
Just my two cents.

fwiw, my "bros being dudes" comment was a joke I added after the fact so anything related to it is also in jest, but I appreciate all of the continued conversation nonetheless
Having said all of that, still an absurdly funny reason for an official punishment announcement.
Why is it always people are told they are soft when they have common decency, empathy and don’t stand for “bro’s being dudes” aka just a permission to be assholes

Look, that kinda meme isn’t my cup of tea but it might be yours. Power to you. It is undeniably a type that could get somebody in trouble if it popped up on their screen in certain settings. Therefore... not a meme for a discord channel in which people don’t know it’s coming.

The people who don't get it seem to be children. If I'm wrong about their age they have the mentality of a child, at least in this scenario.
It's not about "being an offended snowflake" or w/e edgy baby shit you wanna pop off about. Its about giving people who are working for FREE places to accomplish their tasks, and discuss goings ons where they don't have to worry about porn or some shit popping up. I for one do a lot of my stuff for here at work. I have a job that gives me the luxury of that, and the higher ups don't care. But if they saw some porno pop up. Its gonna be an issue.
Like there are literally millions of other places you can post things of that nature, and it will be enjoyed. Why do it somewhere stupid like this, then try to defend it by acting like lil boy edgemeisters?
Dumb lol. I can see if you are jobless or some shit, which is why I called you children. But, any mature resonable person should be able to understand this. so idk.

What do you expect us to go based off of? Your clearly aggrivated and passive aggressive words aren't selling me tbh.
Not to be rude but its you and the people invovled words vs HOs words. HO is being respectful and bringing up relatable points from what i've read and, you guys are kinda being dicks. sooo. Im always down to hear both sides of the story tho, no bs. If these were just memes and HO is overreacting, that sucks.
Also you said it yourself. You have to keep up a facade at work. Some people are in different timezones, work late, or have to do some league work while at REAL work. Can't you see how posting compromising images may affect that persons life negativley, and don't you agree there are for sure better places to post that stuff? Like bro discord channels are free to own last I checked. Just make one for your memes that are a bit "risque", hell even i'd join and partake, im sure plenty of people would. Matter of fact years ago i specfically had a NSFW section in the legion discord for porn lol...tho i wouldn't reccomend that.
Idt anyone is "against memes" tho tbh I do think they are way overdone, and I miss like, jokes with sentences, but i digress lol. sorry.

Okay I’m not saying the punishment was unfair or that anyone will continue to do this, but I will reiterate that I think it’s a league-wide overreaction to posts that you didn’t even see yet are jumping to conclusions about.
