(S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - PSanchez55 - 05-21-2020 Sure, The Portland Pythons may well struggle to make the playoffs. But, they will. I think. Maybe. If they do finish in a playoff spot, the league had better watch out. It better not cry. It better not pout.. wait. That's a Christmas song. Santa Claus is not coming to town. He doesn't exist. But, Joe Petrongolo and Keynel McZeal do exist. The young running back duo have combined for almost 2000 yards and 11 touchdowns. Yeah, its kinda sad. The run game is unfortunately under utilized. Both of these guys should have 1500 yards already.Like How, ho... ho... Who wouldnt go-o up on the housetop, click, click, click. down through the chimney with good Saint Nick. But seriously, the dynamic young duo of Petrongolo and McZeal can lead this Pythons team to Ultimini glory. Don't forget the stud under center for Portland. I don't remember his name, but he's capable of leading the team to victory. It is Portland time. but first, they have to make the postseason. To do that, they need to focus on getting the ball to the running backs. Those two can carry the team to wins. THe passing game has been rather incomplete. Pythons should run their way into the playoffs (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - 2Burkeulosis - 05-21-2020 With only two weeks left in the regular season if the London Royals are going to make a playoff run then we need to do it now. Everything the Royals need to win a championship is located within our locker room. The Royals are heading into week 13 tied with the Portland Pythons at 5-7. In order to guarantee our place in the playoffs we will have to win our final two games of the season. Our opponents are tough; they are our fellow expansion team the Dallas Birddogs who are themselves desperately fighting for their own playoff spot and the current division leader the Minnesota Grey Ducks. These wins won’t come easy but we have to win. We owe it to our GM’s and to ourselves. The way I see it, the Royals organization gave me my big break. When the Royals drafted me last season they had no way of knowing if I was going to bail or go inactive or what. They could have picked anyone but they took a chance on me. I have a limited amount of time left with this team before I get called up and I want to use that time to thank this organization by bringing the Royals their first Ultimini championship. (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - Naosu - 05-21-2020 PBE PT Special shoutout to my boy in OCO. ![]() (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - Tesla - 05-21-2020 Agent Tesla: I am joined today by both my clients Magnus Rikiya and Molly Mitchell to present our predictions for the NSFL postseason. We are doing it this way so that we have one biased opinion, one very biased opinion, and one hopefully unbiased opinion. That quick introduction out of the way we will start with who we see representing the NSFC in the Ultimus. Yellowknife Wraiths are first seed, Colorado Yeti are second seed, and Sarasota Sailfish are third seed. Who do you have going the distance? Magnus Rikiya: Sarasota is so much better after that trade for Rose Jenkins that I think they manage to beat Colorado. Then I expect Yellowknife to deny them a chance at the Ultimus. So Yellowknife represents the NSFC again as far as I see. Molly Mitchell: I believe that the Yeti beat the Sailfish and then beat the Wraiths to represent the NSFC in the Ultimus. Agent Tesla: Meanwhile I believe that the Yeti manage to knock out the Sailfish only to get knocked out in turn by the Wraiths. So two of us say it will be the Wraiths again and one says it will be the Yeti. The ASFC has the Orange County Otters at first seed, the Austin Copperheads at second seed, and the New Orleans Second Line at third seed. Who do you have representing this side? Also remember to comment on whether you will be a vital part of New Orleans playoffs Magnus per the request of the point task. Magnus Rikiya: New Orleans over Austin, and then New Orleans over Orange County. Fully biased here I admit. I will contribute by being somebody that demands attention from a blocker, but probably will not show up on the stat sheet for more than a tackle or two in these games. Molly Mitchell: I have the Copperheads over the Second Line and then also over the Otters. Sorry. Agent Tesla: No need to apologize as that is why you are here Molly. I have the Second Line over the Copperheads and then over the Otters as is understandable thanks to my being biased. So two of us say the Second Line for the ASFC and one of us says the Copperheads. Now who do you have taking the Ultimus home? Magnus Rikiya: New Orleans Second Line repeat with their first round selections of the S22 draft combining for at least two sacks. Is it okay for me to bank on my teammate bailing me out like that? Molly Mitchell: I think that's fine. You two are good enough I am sure either of you could manage it. I'll take the Yeti going all the way. Agent Tesla: I will also take the Second Line over the Wraiths so two of us say ASFC and one of us says NSFC. According to the least biased of us congratulations to the Colorado Yeti on their future Ultimus, and according to the most biased of us congratulations to the New Orleans Second Line. Thank you for joining us today and we look forward to talking to you again next time! Code: Word Count: 519 (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - NicholasTheGreat - 05-21-2020 For my task, I will not be discussing the Arizona Outlaws since we are not in playoff contention and our focus is on the future with the youth brigade coming through that will dominate the league in the future. I will be discussing the Developmental Simulation Football League playoffs and have a look at a dark house and main contender and why they should be a concern for the other teams contending for the Ultimini. Firstly, I will talk about the dark horse Myrtle Beach Buccaneers which may be surprising since they were so highly regarded at the beginning of the season. Several heartbreaking losses have led to Myrtle Beach being on the fringes of the playoffs. With the roster they have, there is always a chance they make a run if they can qualify for the postseason. Finally, I will discuss the Minnesota Grey Ducks who are almost certainly going to feature in the playoffs. With a high-flying roster, they hope to have a great performance in the games that really matter. One of their most important players on the roster are their top high-flying rookie wide receiver duo Kai Sakura and Tychondrius Hood. This duo are fierce competitors off the field and close off the field and are always competing, especially for draft position in the upcoming NSFL draft. (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - hotdog - 05-21-2020 I haven't paid attention to the NSFL much this season beyond the standings, which does give me some insight as to which teams are generally good and which are generally bad, though with playoffs comes matchups, nuance, and full-roster analysis. I won't have that, but I will walk through my predictions based on the standings. The top teams seem to be the same teams as last season when I first joined the league around this time - the Otters, the Second Line, the Yeti, and the Wraiths. The Wraiths led the way in the NSFC at 11-2, with Orange County topping the ASFC at 10-3. I've put these two teams into the finals in my predictions; as a new user who doesn't know much about the teams, it's probably better to play it safe and go with what seems to be the most probabilistically likely outcome of the top team in each conference making it out. The NSFC's depth is interesting to see, with the 6-7 Sailfish grabbing the 2nd wild card spot. I assume the Yeti will have no trouble dismantling expansion Sarasota in that first game. The ASFC will be tougher - you've got New Orleans, the defending champion and a team many have been picking to win it all, and Austin, who started the season terribly (I seem to recall) and (must have) picked it up big time since the midway point. This'll be a tough battle. (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - Jason - 05-21-2020 Code: Written Option: In 200 words, look ahead towards the postseason, either NSFL or DSFL. Who do you see coming out on top? What dark horse teams do you think can make a run? Will your player be a vital part of your team’s championship, or will you be sobbing on the couch at home? Give your best predictions here. With the postseason coming very soon for the DSFL, it looks like the Minnesota Grey Ducks are going to be able to finish in first place in the NFL North. After I joined the league last season and seeing the Grey Ducks finish in last place and miss the playoffs, it's great to see how far we've come as a unit. I have the utmost confidence that we'll be in the final game. I know the Luchadores have a fantastic team and the south is a very tough division so I'm excited to see what happens in the last few games. It's been sort of an up and down season for me and I'm still looking for my first interception so it would be awesome if that would come in the playoffs. I haven't really haven't had many teams throw my way so I view that as a compliment that they're being careful around me. I honestly really do think that if we can continue our winning ways at the end of the season that we can win the whole thing. We have the best running back in the league and one of the best defense so we're built for a playoff run. The rookies have all been improving during practice sessions and it's really showing on the field. I think it's going to be us versus the Luchadores in the finals and I hope we can pull out the win. Code: 241 words (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - Lowlycrib - 05-21-2020 While i am writing this San Jose has just slipped out of playoff contention and into fourth place after a successful 8-5 season. While the team is ultimately sad that we missed the postseason, we are still happy that we were able to put forth such a great season that we can hopefully build upon and try make the postseason next year. One of the darkhorses that i will be cheering for this season includes the Austin Copperheads, who after starting 1-4-1 really turned it on to make the playoffs in the 2nd seed, which easily makes them on of the hottest teams going into the playoffs. While they may be on a hot streak they still have to go against the seasoned Otters who have been one of the most successful teams & the extremely streaky Secondline who can either be the best team or the worse team in playoffs. While i haven't paid much attention to the other conference, it is for a good reason as they don't appear to be as tight & competitive and ultimately won't put up much of a fight. One of the players i am looking forward to seeing in the playoffs is Joilet Christ who is looking to cement himself along with the other greats in the game as he continues to be one of the most dangerous dual threats in the game. (231) (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - Jay_Doctor - 05-21-2020 I would be brutally put out on trial if I said I wanted anyone to win Besides NOLA. Obviously, I would love for my team to come out on top and claim back-to-back championships. If we were unable to get it done, there are a couple teams I would like to see do well. At the top of my list would Yellowknife. They are always among the top teams in the league. They have made so many Ultimus games and haven't really been fully rewarded for their effort and talent along the way. Next on my list would be Colorado. They have some awesome people over there and that franchise deserves to finally be happy. Lastly, I think it would be cool to see Sarasota pull off what the Vegas Knights couldn't do. Winning a championship in their 1st year of existence would be the ultimate achievement. It normally takes expansion teams a couple seasons just to become competitive, so this fast track is a bit unheard of. I would also get to see my OG teammate Rayne Gordon get the biggest win of his career and that would be great. All that being said, go NOLA. We are hungry and we won't go down without a fight. (S22) - PT4 - Road to Glory - Shiznit19 - 05-21-2020 Going into the DSFL Playoffs, the Portland Pythons are in a similar situation this season to close out the year. They will have to close out the last 2 weeks with a solid record just to squeak in. With that being said, I think its obvious that Portland would be the dark horse through the playoffs if they do make it in. The defense has been pretty sharp and if the Offense can control the time of possession, they have the legs to make a run. Compared to last season, the Portland offense has relied far more on its running than passing and that seems to have helped keep some games close. It should be interesting to see how they close out the year on the road. As far as Slinky Claxton goes, I think he will be able to surprise teams in the playoffs. He is a fierce defensive leader and will bring everyone together when it matters most. Not to mention, being one of the better run stoppers in the league. If Portland cant get it done in the regular season finale, I think the Minnesota Grey Ducks will win the Ultimini. They have the best Defense in the DSFL this season and that should be enough to carry them all the way. Even with Tijuana holding a great record going into the end of the year, I think they would be outmatched by whomever comes out of the NFC. (242 Words) |
