This was clearly abuse of powers by a mod. There's no real way to explain it better. It was one thing when the problems were accidents, typos that are easy to happen. It's another thing when a mod goes out of his way to remove a post he deems unfit, without talking to anyone else. He went out of his way to delete a comment that showed his team in a certain way, that was not fit to his agenda at the time. Having someone bring up an occurrence where it was an accident is fine, people realize that mistakes are made. But you cannot delete a comment like that and just say oops my bad. Something more should happen, and if nothing happens this sets a really bad precedence where anyone with mod powers can turn around and be like oops my bad and have nothing happen. Just because he accepts fault does not absolve him of punishment, and in my opinion removal of mod powers is the only acceptable solution.

can we talk about the real issue?

this really belongs in the thunderdome, and anyone who uses the media section for things that aren't media like this should be sent to @Kristy95's very ready-for-use guillotine.

Let's analyze this argument, and why it's so funny.

1. Noble is a player on the Yeti, the Yeti missed the playoffs partially because the Hawks.

2. The biggest troll on this Topic is on the Legion, which this doesn't even affect.

3. The Wraiths GM made the mistake.

4. Let's be honest... the Outlaws would have won anyway.

The issue isn't about the tpe anymore, it's the abuse of mod powers that is the problem.

Alright, I'll stop stoking the fire for a minute.

Hendrix overstepped. He realized it and apologized and brought it up in the GM thread behind closed doors. I don't think there was any rules in place and he was probably used to doing whatever he wanted with his team's forum.

He's emotionally invested in his team and made a mistake, but really this is the first mistake that he has made. The updating issues were not his fault.

But lets be clear.

Nothing game breaking happened with the update blunders,
And Hendrix messing up by deleting a post started a discussion.
Now there is a precedent not to do that for the future (since there was no concrete ruling for it).

Anyways, back to our shitposting and pitchforks.

This thread is cancerous.

1. The two TPE related incidents were not the Hawks fault. So let's stop being up their ass about it. It's over and done with.

2. Since HENDRIX shouldn't have any strikes against him, the deletion issue needs to be looked at with a clean slate. He deleted a post that was mocking/defaming his team, which is a clear violation of traditional moderator powers.

3. Ceteris paribus, HENDRIX should be removed as a moderator, but there's an issue. He's a GM. What he did should not be grounds for removing him as the GM of his team, that's just unfair. And since he hasn't done anything else wrong, a slap on the wrist should suffice here. Just don't delete posts, that's stupid.

See? There you go.

I just can't understand a view like that. You have no way of knowing that the update blunders didnt change the outcome of games. But thats besides the point, it wasn't anyones fault, accidents happen.

But this is far beyond just messing up. It is clear abuse of mod powers and something like that just can't be ok. To just gloss over them and be like oh yeah it shouldn't happen anymore, thats not setting a precedent. A precedent would be to have a punishment for it. This way you are literally saying it is ok to do this.

Ermura was testing the sim file for the boosted stat incidents and I did some testing on my own. None of it seemed to change the outcomes.

As far as setting a precedent, I feel like the next time Hendrix messes up would be punishable but I don't see this is game or league breaking or even that hurtful. I'm glad archon posted that it happened though because it would  have been terrible if it was swept under the rug.
