Akselsen Retires to the Farm - Bzerkap - 08-18-2018
S10 will be Mat Akselsen's last as a player in the NSFL. It was quite the journey and the times were joyous. The only thing Mat hopes for is a lasting legacy in this league. He won one championship and that was more than enough for him.

@NUCK for drafting me to the Yellowknife Wraiths. He was the originally spooky boi.
@Ballerstorm for guiding me in the early years of my time as GM. He was a good mentor and I'm sad he's left us. But he made this league and his legacy is intact.
@Archon for pissing off @iamslm22, those were the days (jk, i'm glad he didnt run out every hawk)
@timeconsumer always helped me understand the sim more and be better at that strategizing thing we do
@ErMurazor he may have done a bad deed but he's not a bad person and he's redeemed himself to me. You all should find it in your hearts to forgive him
@Jiggly_333 it's not for everyone but it's uniquely you. Don't stop being yourself. You need more egg cartons
@bovo my first co-GM and technically most accomplished student. He may have retired before me, but I was the first GM to have $18.5M in extra cap and not make the playoffs. I'd like to see him try and pull that off.
@SwagSloth my long time co who really put the team on his back S6-S7 with his scouting and drafting. I'll admit I was lax on my duties at the time and unfairly put a lot on his shoulders. He took it all in stride though. Heart of a champion.
@ADwyer87 you owe me a pizza you son of a bitch
@PigSnout and @HalfEatenOnionBagel we traded for you as mercenaries to the cause and I'm really happy we did. Couldn't have won a ship without either of you.
@White Cornerback I'm sorry the league was a huge burden on you and you've had to step back. I'm glad you're not gone forever though. Probably one of my best friends out here in the virtual league. GOAT Punt Returner/DB/Utility Knife, and it would have been impossible to win without you.
@Evok our marriage is strong in the PBE, it's too bad you're not into football too much. Wallace Stone had the best avatar in those early years
There are millions more people to thank and this will turn into a massive dumbass post if I keep going so I'll just stop here. This site is great and I love it and I hope we can all work together bit by bit to keep it going on to the next level. Who knows, in another year we might have 12 teams.

I think that's the right time. You should play about as well next season as this season, but S11 woulda been bad news. I'll put out some media this weekend, but you had a solid career.

Thanks for bringing me in, glad I got a chance to come in and help the team win the championship! Akselsen was a fun player to watch, the first player to show the true potential of a mobile quarterback.
