*S10 rule proposals - bovovovo - 08-22-2018 The following is a list of the current rule proposals being voted on by GMs/HO. Just because it’s listed here doesn’t mean it’s going to pass, this is just for discussions sake (Graders don’t grade this, it’s copy pasted) ~~~~~~~~ 1. Players may voluntarily change their height. Voluntary height changes may only occur during the offseason. The first voluntary height change is free. Any voluntary height changes after the first one cost 4m. Voluntary height changes must be within the specified height range for each player archetype. Forced height changes due to archetype/position changes are always free and this rule does not apply to them. (Reason for the this is we now know that height affects CBs and PDs, so it may affect other positions as well. Weight changes are free so height changes should be as well) 2. A player may only play offense or defense. Any player can play on special teams, but a player is not allowed to be listed on the depth chart for offense and for defense. 3. There are certain jobs that do NOT have the necessary support and require a ton of time. Because of that I am proposing a PT pass for certain jobs. They will not have to do the regular PTs or WPTs. Jobs that are given PT pass will be decided before the season by the HO +GMs. This PT/ WPT pass can be taken in lieu of the money for the position, but not in addition to (for up to 15M). If the job is paid more than 15M you get the money as well. 4. Implement K/P filler bots. These bots are designed to not replace the K/P position but allow teams to fill in their K/P if they need to (we joke about it but it’s obvious that high TPE k/ps are better than low ones... want to allow people to make kickers if they want without a high barrier to entry) ~Bots will be purchased the exact same way OL bots are, GMs will be able to set their builds ~Teams may purchase no more than 1 K/P bot per season ~Two tiers: 100 TPE (500k) and 200 TPE (1m) ~The bots experience will always be set to 1 (makes user players intrinsically better than the bots) Scientific backing: http://nsfl.jcink.net/index.php?showtopic=9952 5. Reduce all penalties to 5 yard penalties and no automatic first downs 6. Och cmon now, after first gens of S1-3 were able to benefit from that you want to take away that from players just entering their prime and being able to do that? 3. Side note - Wouldn't implementing this rule be just about 1/2 step away from just straight up selling TPE? Your proposed rule gives an approximate exchange rate of $3M for 5 TPE based on a 5 week season. Home field advantage is a crazy big advantage in this sim, and we cannot have a championship game at a neutral location. In the sim the road team commits a ton more penalties than the home team. Additionally there isn't much of a correlation between TPE and Penalties. Basically it's to decrease the rng aspect of our sims. Those other penalties (the 15 yarders and the automatic first down ones) are super super random. You'll get a QB called for Offensive Pass Interference or random stuff like that - not super realistic. |
