*S10 NSFC Outlook - Daybe - 08-26-2018 The Juggernaut: ![]() ![]() This is rather obvious. The Baltimore Hawks, even post regression, are almost as good as last year, despite losing some pieces. The Hawks are old, but still steady, and will look to continue their reign NSFC champs. Blocksdale and co are still going strong, and while with a weakened supporting cast, damaged by regression, retirement, and transactions, is still almost unanimously recognized as the second best in the NSFL, behind the Second Line. Top 5 TPE: Trey Willie - WR - 1,043 TPE Avon Blocksdale - QB - 1,020 TPE Owen Taylor - RB - 850 TPE Austin Roenick - LB - 727 TPE Verso L’Alto - TE - 720 TPE As we can see in their top TPE players, three of them have already started to regress and the other two are far from it. Most of their roster is either old or young, which provides a nice balance and will ensure their competitiveness in the future, if they can find a long term solution to the quarterback position in the wings. They have plenty of young wide receivers, which is always a nice thing to have. Biggest Needs: DB, LB, QB Not Far Behind: ![]() ![]() While I wouldn’t call them ready to compete and do battle with the big boys yet, this team is damn close. GMs Scott Michaels and Supersquare Issaloser have indicated they want to compete this year with the move to Philly to acquire a handful of veterans, but many have written them off, citing a lack of clear cut top tier talent other teams have. However, they fell short to Baltimore by just 6 points in the MSFC championship game, and with Baltimore regressing and Colorado improving we may see some more Mile High Magic. Top 5 TPE: Andre Bly Jr. - DB - 975 TPE Haruki Ishigawa - LB - 854 TPE Howard Miller - WR - 803 TPE Micycle McCormick - K/P - 790 TPE Eli Kamaka - DL - 768 TPE Again, while not having the same elite talent possessed on Baltimore’s roster, they still have a nice set of defensive studs. Looking at the farm and the prospects in general, it’s not looking too good, with both S9 first round picks looking like busts, their S8 #1 going IA and three of their five S7 firsts AWOL. Biggest Needs: DB, RB, WR The Dark Horse: ![]() ![]() It’s hard to see the Wraiths making the playoffs this season. But then again, you can’t count anyone out before the season (See Yeti, last season). Brad Pennington will help the spooks transition into a more traditional offense, trying to get the most out of wideout Eric Kennedy’s last season in the NSFL. Top 5 TPE: Dermot Lavelle - DB - 1009 TPE Cameron Taylor - DB - 903 TPE Boss Tweed - LB - 778 TPE Eric Kennedy - WR - 769 TPE Chad Pennington - QB - 607 TPE Not as formidable, but this isn’t bad, really. It’s great to have two of the highest TPE players in the league on your team, let alone being defensive backs. Dermot will surely serve as a wide receiver this upcoming season as another pass catcher alongside Eric Kennedy. Prospect sense, well, all three Pennington brothers are all on the same team, and that’s the core of their future. Unfortunately, I fear this will be another year for YKW picking #4, not quite having the guts to make it but still not in a tank mode given their solid veterans remaining. TRUST THE PROCESS ![]() ![]() Well, the Liberty are embracing the rebuild. It seems like star quarterback Logan Noble may be the one under center again, this time worse. Goodie! Expect lots of a losses, and free Taco Bell served at games as a way to keep ticket sales rolling in. Hey, how much will a nosebleed seat cost? Top 5 TPE: Carter Bush - WR - 656 TPE Josh Garden - WR - 478 TPE Brock Weathers III - DL - 447 TPE Jaylon Lee - LB - 357 TPE Perry Tucker - LB - 304 TPE Oh boy. This roster looks baaaaaad. Which is good for the Liberty, of course. They’re front runners for the #1 pick right now. As far as prospects go, well, yes. There’s infinite Liberty prospects, all of them running around in a field somewhere. Think Sam Hinkie if he was given a BBGM league against a bunch of 12 year olds. Heck, even I’m a good GM against them. *S10 NSFC Outlook - Jiggly_333 - 08-28-2018 (08-26-2018, 01:24 AM)Daybe Wrote:The Dark Horse:I take this as a personal insult. ![]() *S10 NSFC Outlook - ItsJustBarry - 08-28-2018 nice write up but wouldn't this be S10 Outlook? *S10 NSFC Outlook - enigmatic - 08-28-2018 Those tpe totals make me sad. *S10 NSFC Outlook - Daybe - 08-28-2018 (08-28-2018, 09:34 AM)ItsJustBarry Wrote:nice write up but wouldn't this be S10 Outlook?
