Eli Kamaka Heads Home to Hawaii - PDXBaller - 10-09-2018
With work dying down a bit, I finally have a bit of free time to come back as a sporadic player. Eli Kamaka will be retiring and heading back home to Hawaii to coach high school football and write for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser as a sports journalist at the conclusion of S11.
First of all, big thanks to @adam2552 and Philadelphia for taking a chance on me as a late round S3 pick. I'm happy that we were able to win an Ultimus together. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn so much from you, adam2552, and I know that the team will be competing soon under your guidance. Thank you for everything.
For all the flak and bad press they receive, I believe that Colorado is heading in the right direction for the future and I wholeheartedly know that @dropbear and @infinitempg will do their best to change everyone's perception of the organization. I believe in this organization and the leadership of these two incredible individuals that I had the honor of playing with.
As for Eli, he was never a top tier DT, but happy to be apart of the defense and contributing where he could. That's the type of player I had always envisioned when I started at DE, switched to OL, then to DT. It's been a fun few seasons!
There are so many others to thank...you all know who you are and I have nothing but love for you!

Congratulations on a hell of a career. More importantly, thank you for everything you did both for the NSFL and the DSFL, and the league as a whole. My time as a DSFL GM revitalised my love for this community and you were a huge part of that.
Similarly, you coming to Colorado legitimised the hard work the leadership group as a whole had been doing to turn around our franchise's image, and showed us that top-tier talent would want to join the team.
You were a fantastic mentor, supporter, teammate, and all-around great person. I can't wait to follow your next character's career, and the path he takes to ending back with the Yeti

If anything I should be thanking you! Me and Fox might have set up the blueprint, but it was guys like you that made it all work. While your ending in Philly was bittersweet, the time there was amazing. We had a ton of fun that culminated in the most unlikely of championships. We couldn't have done it without you.
Im happy that you'll be back (even if just sporadically). You have given a lot to this league and it definitely wouldn't be the same place it is now without all your contributions.
