Also, just to scare people, this deal has no team or mutual option, which means that if Jiggly goes inactive, they are stuck paying Atwell until she is auto-retired. It's not a major concern, but it is interesting.

hey, hi, contrary to whatever is going on in your head I am fully aware of the consequences, or lack thereof, of this deal. we'd been paying Jiggly about $8m per season otherwise. also, GASP, we've decided to guarantee someone more than the minimum at some point in their career. I know it's a shock given the behavior of most teams in this league.
as for #11 receiver in the league, give it a rest. lack of production was a matter of quarterback. Atwell ranks somewhere inside the top 8 in receiver TPE, making her a WR1 for most teams in the league. it's a fine deal even if I had no idea what I was doing, as you seem to believe.

I admitted the lack of option wasn't a concern, but it is something we haven't ever seen, and deserved a mention.
The #11 WR was just being a dick. I hoped by keeping those things in separate posts, I'd be able to keep the tones separate, but oh well.
