Introducing: Weekly Betting! - Daybe - 11-14-2018
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Hello everyone! I am proud to say that I will be starting up a "league casino".
So what does this entail?
Every week, after the Wednesday NSFL sim, I will boot up the good ole simulation with the postgame index. I will choose two outstanding matchups, one from each Friday week 200 times, and I'll be able to pull the important stats, such as final score, win %, and other numbers that will be important in order for this to work.
So what exactly can we bet on?
For now, you'll be able to bet on the odds of game results, as well as the point spread for said games. For the odds of results, I'll simply pull from the win %, but the point spread will be based on point differential. If anyone is confused with how odds work, here's a link to a good explanation, brought to you by yours truly, Wikipedia.
So what about the money?
Good question. You'll be able to bet in $500,000 and $1,000,000 increments. All the combined money from these bets will go into a pool. The winner(s) will take home a share of this pool directly proportionate to the amount they put in (So if I bet $1,000,000 and @ADwyer87 bet $500,000 and we won for a total pot of $6,000,000, I'd take $4,000,000 and he'd get $2,000,000).
So what do you plan on changing?
I will always be open to feedback on this system, and with all changes going through Head Office, I'll make sure to edify the rules/system however necessary. This will make the system better for everyone, as the last thing we'd want is people to be discouraged.
So when can we start?
I will be piloting the bets for the playoffs, actually. This means that we'll have bets up for both the conference championship games ahead of the games soon™.
Note that simmers/GMs are not allowed to bet for transparency (Sorry @timeconsumer)

aww man what am i supposed to do with all this money
but this is a fun idea and i think it'll be a good way for some people to (hopefully) make some extra dough!

you're supposed to make whatever wild bets you can fancy in the betting thread. That being said I'd be willing to bet $20,000,000 that the Yeti won't select Ja'Brill Tuck #1 overall
