Leroy Takes The Stage - Jiggly_333 - 06-07-2017 Already outspoken about their fellow crusade for CPS Funding, Chance the Rapper decided to hold a benefit concert for the charity with a very special guest. Unbeknownst to the audience, Orange County Otters running back Leroy Jenkins was getting ready to join Chance onstage. Midway through his set, Chance began "May I Have This Dance" and instead of Francis, Leroy came on in full voice. The reaction was almost immediate, he was a hit. While many didn't even know who he was, his voice blew everyone away. In a pitch surprisingly high for a man of his stature, he took on the piece with passion. When the song ended, the crowd actually wanted more. So he stuck around for the rest of the concert, helping out not only Chance, but some of the other Chicago-based artists supporting CPS including Buddy Guy, Andrew Bird, and The Tossers. Though all very different genres, Leroy never missed a beat. When asked later about whether he actually would like to pursue music he said, "I always enjoyed it, but I don't if I can do anything during the season. Even this was a bit too out of the way, especially playing in So Cal. I have some old stuff that I wrote back in high school, but I'd have to dig it up.
