*NSFL S11 ASPARQ - Toasty - 11-26-2018

Okay now that I got time on my hands I will be trying to post one of these after every NSFL stream. For those of you who were not around when I ordinally started doing ASPARQ, it was a metric used to score defensive players. Each tackle receives 1 point, a Tackle For Loss received 3 points, a QB Hurries receive 3 points, a Pass Breakup receive 3 points, a Sack receives 6 points, a Forced Fumble receives 6 points, an Interception receives 6 points, a Fumble Recovery received 3 points, a Block Punt received 3 points, a Block Field Goal receives 4 points, a Block Extra Point receives 4 points, a Defensive Touchdown receives 5 points, and a Safety receives 8 points. I am going to try to do a series of these and release them daily all the way from S11 down and finish with a career one with every defensive player to ever receive a snap in the NSFL on it. You may say Fire-Bred that career one is going to be massive for just one post and I will say that's the plan and I also plan to split the Career one over 2 or 3 days. I will also be putting commentary for the top 10 players on this list. After this check back later for when I post a run down on this years defenses. I am not sure how I am going to do that yet but I should have it finished for you and ready to be posted. Now you most be thinking Toasty you are gonna break the media again. And I am going to say damn right I need the money so I am going to post about every little thing possible to get me some money. Now let's get started.

Right here is what would be my Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year vote. Blocking a punt, picking the ball out of the air 2 times, making the ball carrier put the ball on the ground 4 times and falling out it once, and placing second in tackles this kid had a superb season. His stats reminds me of last years Orange County Otter Linebacker Mason Brown’s stats and I hope that the league doesn’t screw him over and make him share the DPOTY award with someone like Ishigawa.

Boy, oh, boy did Mason Brown fall off this season. He went from being, what should have been the secure defensive player of the year vote, to this good but not outstanding linebacker. Rumors have it that it was linked to Winchester moving to defensive line. He barely broke 100 tackles, set a career high in interceptions with 3 and had 17 pass defended. Once again it looks like a cornerback playing linebacker.

Maybe it is because I hate the Yeti some much when I made the formula I knew 2 season down the road I had to make sure he wouldn't make the top 5. But yeah he was able to get 144 tackles, but that is the only stat that really jumps off the paper for me.

Here's our first non-linebacker on the list and man did he have a season. Getting 9 sacks, 4 interceptions and returning it to the house twice! He was also able to get 6 passes defended. This stat at first wouldn't jump on the page but the you look at his interceptions which are at 4, which means there if he gets his hands on the ball 2 out of 3 times he is picking it off.
