NSFL Wiki - PaytonM34 - 11-30-2018 I've been scouring wiki pages a bit out of boredom for the last 20 minutes and have noticed that there really isn't an incentive to keep player pages updated once we have received the initial 10tpe for creating it. I think we could offer something like 2/3 TPE to go back and fully complete a player page once that player is retired. If this creates a conflict with claiming that TPE on the recreate, maybe something like $500,000? I just feel like the wiki is a great idea on creating a history for the league, but I also feel like we are going to have a lot of half completed pages. NSFL Wiki - Zoone16 - 11-30-2018 Considering my player is retired. I'd pay someone a few NSFL $$$ to write up my page. NSFL Wiki - Phobospwns - 11-30-2018 Agreed on incentive to keep it up to date being a good idea. 2 TPE per season it's updated, or some such? I will admit that it adds to the administrative work- checking that people really are updating it, and I know how much of a pain that can be. But, just a thought. I think there's a lot of work that could be done for $$$ , it would be somewhat of a unique way to earn money aside from articles and all that. NSFL Wiki - White Cornerback - 11-30-2018 $$$$ incentives do not work for the WIKI. People who are helping out help out because they want to and more often than not the money is just a bonus for them, despite the fact it's easier and much more profitable and efficient to do wiki work then write media out even if it's just transcribing stuff. EDIT: Maybe in addition to offering 10 tpe for creating a new player page for your article, you can also claim another 10 tpe for updating your retired player up to date on the wiki complete with stats tables. You can either only do this if you have a retired player. NSFL Wiki - caltroit_red_flames - 11-30-2018 (11-30-2018, 05:48 PM)White Cornerback Wrote:$$$$ incentives do not work for the WIKI. I'd do wiki work for TPE. Maybe put a seasonal cap on wiki work of like 5 or 10 TPE a season? NSFL Wiki - 37thchamber - 11-30-2018 Would have to run any tpe ideas by the ppt but I don't hate the idea of allowing upto 5 tpe per season (for example) for wiki work Should note that literally all updates are eligible for cash payouts already though. At a higher rate than media. NSFL Wiki - PaytonM34 - 11-30-2018 (11-30-2018, 02:54 PM)37thchamber Wrote:Should note that literally all updates are eligible for cash payouts already though. How do you claim? That's a good point that I didn't consider... at the moment I guess you're relying on me noticing, unless you outright tell me. I've been focused on the stats and records pages tbh, so a bunch of stuff probably wasn't pushed as much as it should have been. That's on me. For now, just message me if you've made updates that went unpaid. I'll sort that out. But I can make a template you can use at the top of the page like {{claim}} or something, then once a week or so I can check those pages and figure out payouts. Then I just need to find a way to make sure we don't pay out for stuff twice. I'll think on it and make an announcement when I come up with something. |
