NSFL Network - "Requested Articles" - adam2552 - 06-11-2017

Introducing the NSFL Network. Just in time for the regular season, the NSLF Network will provide GMs, players, and fans with the latest in NSFL news.

How it Works
Every Monday night (9pm EST) the NSFLN will post a list of approximately 10 headlines that aspiring writers can claim. The posting will list the headline, bonus amount, minimum word count, and deadline. Once an article is claimed, the writer that claims it gets to be the sole writer to write the article. The writer has no guidelines for the story other than the headline and minimum word count. As long as they meet the criteria and deadline they get the full bonus. If they miss their initial deadline, their bonus will be halved. If they are still unable to produce an article after another period equal to the initial deadline, they will no longer be eligible for a bonus.

Why Should You Write These Articles
That sweet, sweet cash. The majority of these articles will have a minimum word count less than 500 words and a bonus payout that would net the writer at least $1,000,000. These articles will also provide more variety to the types of articles currently in NSFL Media. So as a NSFLN writer, you get paid above average and get to tell a story that hasn’t been told.

How Can You Be Involved
There are two main ways for players to be involved. The first is to be a NSFLN writer, claim a story you see posted and write the article. The second way is what we hope will make the league even more exciting. If have a storyline in mind for your player, but don’t have the time or desire to write it, send me a private message with the storyline. We will work with you to develop the story and it will be posted as one of our headlines for another writer to claim. This can get your player in the headlines, without you having to write a single word.

Example of How Posting Will Look
“Interview with NFSL Referee Ted Mochuli” - Bonus $750,000 - min 500 words - deadline 5 days
“The Draxel and Stormblessed Connection” (preseason passing and receiving leaders) - Bonus of $600,000, additional $500,000 bonus if interview with Draxel and Stormblessed - min 500 words - deadline 7 days
“NSFL Pancake Leader Analysis” - Bonus of $700,000 - min 350 words - deadline 5 days

TL;DR
To recap, every Monday night we post headlines we want to see stories about. Writers claim the headline and write their story. Once the story is posted, the writer receives a substantial bonus payment in addition to their regular payment for article length. If you want an article or series of articles written about your player, PM me.

Sounds rad, any word on podcasts or are we gonna keep this strictly written? Either way fantastic idea. I'll for sure be giving it a go.

My opinion is that podcasts pay pretty fairly right now, it is easy enough to go on for 15+ minutes ($750,000 right there) with a bit of a plan, especially with someone else. The idea with the requested articles is to help people with writer's block and/or get stories out about players who otherwise can't write it themselves.
