*S1 Redraft - 99-70 - majesiu - 01-24-2019 S1 Redraft - 137-100 Part 1: Literally irrelevant S1 Redraft - 99-70 Part 2: The gone before S5 part S1 Redraft - 69-40 Part 3: First Regression Fighers S1 Redraft - 39-15 Part 4: It's getting better! S1 Redraft - 14-1 Part 5: Crème de la crème Okay, first of the batch of players done, but let's remind the rules: We know about who this article will be about, but how I decided to grade players? There will be 4 factors - 3 majors and 1 minor. Due to the sheer amount of players in that draft (137), please forgive me judgment calls in category number 3 & 4, especially since I'm only around since Season 6 and don't have much knowledge about first 5 seasons. The categories: - Peak TPE/100 - Top mark was 12,22 - Career longevity - 0-12 score depending on seasons spend in the league - Career quality - 0-13 the first of judgment calls, basically non-factor is going to be 1 (0 if never suited), 2 was a bit better than replacement level, 7 made some pro-bowl and 13 is HoF caliber player. I tried to be lenient in this category, but once again - I'm not writing a dissertation about particular players, just trying to give a nice window back into S1 draft to have revived some memories, find biggest steals, busts and have something to write about. I put also a lower emphasis on the first few seasons since the low TPE levels surmount to really random results. - Activity Grade - 0 to 5 score, where 0 equals lack update page, 3 was somewhat active and 5 was always active throughout the career I'll try to write a few words about more interesting players, but more often than not I'll just be using the template I prepared for the occasion. One more note is that searching through these old days wasn't easy and I might have missed some seasons if players position switched for example, for such mistakes sincere apologies and feel free to correct me! We had a lot of defensive players picked before and none of them lasted for a long time in the league in the impactful role. This article won't be much different. We will have to wait up until next edition to actually see players that lasted more than 4 seasons. Season 1 might've been the biggest one, but retention and engagement percentage weren't astounding at all. Player name: Jordan Weal - username: @samee College: Didn't attend Position: OL Peak TPE: 80 - TPE Score: 0,8 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 4,8 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 99 - Change: -55 Samee and one more of his many failed players, but this time not sure I can even blame him as he played the cursed offensive linesman and even though they were really needed only stayed in the league for two seasons. Bad reach. Player name: Daniel Robicheaux - username: @Electraspace College: Ole Miss Position: OL Peak TPE: 81 - TPE Score: 0,81 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 4,81 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 98 - Change: -58 Yeah, OL was badly needed and teams overstated that need. I think by average OL might have the most negative change of all positions - I might summarize it at the extra article extracting some interesting statistics and plotting charts out of it. Player name: Jonathan Shaloiko - username: @J.shaloiko College: Duke Position: WR Peak TPE: 93 - TPE Score: 0,93 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 4,93 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 96 - Change: +27 Player name: Josh Cameron - username: @CamBrady College: University of Michigan Position: DT Peak TPE: 93 - TPE Score: 0,93 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 4,93 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 96 - Change: -51 Cats S1 draft wasn't too good to say the least. Player name: Romeo Devitt - username: @Evans College: Washington Position: QB Peak TPE: 100 - TPE Score: 1 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 95 - Change: -10 There were a lot QBs in the season 1 draft, far too many for 6 teams and what was even worse 4 of those were GMs so that left rest of rookies scrambling for playing team and their draft stock reasonably to fall down by a lot. Player name: Matthew Peterson - username: @Peterson College: Washington Position: CB Peak TPE: 118 - TPE Score: 1,18 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,18 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 94 - Change: -62 Such high hopes of 6th rounder but such low ending, with just two seasons played. Player name: Devin Speed - username: @King College: Virginia Tech Position: S Peak TPE: 56 - TPE Score: 0,56 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,56 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 93 - Change: -25 Was that that King? Who knows, but at least he couldn't create multis for recruitment TPE back then. Player name: Marcus Boyd - username: @Professorpayne69 College: Texas A&M Position: OL Peak TPE: 61 - TPE Score: 0,61 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,61 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 92 - Change: -31 Why don't draft a guy with family friendly nickname middle through the draft, he will surely stay active, won't? Typical Otters pick. Player name: Levon Novel - username: @andybj College: Ohio State University Position: RB Peak TPE: 164 - TPE Score: 1,64 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,64 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 90 - Change: -1 Andy made some great players in SHL and PBE, but unfortunately his NSFL players are rather DSFL bound. If it only existed back in the S1, Levon could've had a successful career. Player name: Vick Bowers Jr. - username: @[killshot] College: Clemson University Position: RB Peak TPE: 164 - TPE Score: 1,64 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,64 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 90 - Change: -62 There was a ton of RBs in that draft and with teams needing really one, max two per team it's such a big reach. While he earned some TPE, he got quickly overtaken by more active players. Player name: Saggitariutt Jefferspin - username: @BasedGase College: Texas A&M Position: OL Peak TPE: 74 - TPE Score: 0,74 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,74 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 89 - Change: -22 One more victim of OL curse, but survived up to S3, I count that as a success. Player name: Greg Taylor - username: @ztevans College: North Carolina Position: DE Peak TPE: 80 - TPE Score: 0,8 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,8 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 88 - Change: -67 Yet another stinker, but at least his reincarnation is doing much better at DT. Player name: Jason Spearhead - username: @BasedPooter College: Alabama Position: DE Peak TPE: 85 - TPE Score: 0,85 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 5,85 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 87 - Change: -49 We just had BasedGase, now BasedPooter, are people just that unimaginative or multi confirmed? Player name: Adam Bennett - username: @CosmicAtom College: USC Position: WR Peak TPE: 101 - TPE Score: 1,01 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,01 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 86 - Change: -12 Player name: D'Brickashaw Ferguson - username: @mjdharder College: Ohio State University Position: OL Peak TPE: 105 - TPE Score: 1,05 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,05 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 85 - Change: +1 Beautiful name, not so career - OL and it says it all. There was a ton of defensive backs taken ahead of him that ended up worse. Player name: Joseph Tkachuk - username: @Theo667 College: University of Missouri Position: TE Peak TPE: 138 - TPE Score: 1,38 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,38 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 83 - Change: +31 Back to back good picks short term for the Outlaws. Player name: Bender Rodriguez - username: @BenderRodriguez College: Temple Position: OL Peak TPE: 146 - TPE Score: 1,46 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,46 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 82 - Change: -48 Great name, bad reach, bad position, quickly ded. Player name: Wren Piper - username: @Bingbongday College: University of Washington Position: TE Peak TPE: 54 - TPE Score: 0,54 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,54 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 81 - Change: +32 Tight Ends, because of their dearth, surprisingly, stayed a bit longer in the league than their TPE could have suggested. Player name: Jason Williams - username: @RayCobaine College: Didn't attend Position: CB Peak TPE: 162 - TPE Score: 1,62 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,62 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 80 - Change: +35 One more defensive back small steal and win for Arizona. They really had a knack for those low end pickups. Player name: Rolf Larsendorf - username: @HazardouSpork College: University of Wisconsin Position: TE Peak TPE: 67 - TPE Score: 0,67 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,67 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 79 - Change: +16 TE same reasosning as above. Player name: Michael Newman - username: @mnewman19 College: Penn State University Position: RB Peak TPE: 79 - TPE Score: 0,79 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,79 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 78 - Change: +48 I guess he was blocking RB, so he was able to stay afloat behind Esa for sucha long time. Player name: Bisquiteen Crocker - username: @KalaVouna College: Harvard University Position: DE Peak TPE: 90 - TPE Score: 0,9 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,9 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 77 - Change: +3 Some things don't change - you could have stayed for decent amount of time in the league with low TPE if you played as defensive linesman. Player name: Tim Tebow - username: @.wahala. College: Florida Position: QB Peak TPE: 96 - TPE Score: 0,96 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 6,96 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 76 - Change: +41 QB and a steal? Yeah, he position changed to OL and had quite decent years there. Player name: Alexander Selich - username: @Tomen College: Florida Atlantic University Position: LB Peak TPE: 116 - TPE Score: 1,16 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 7,16 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 75 - Change: -71 One of many disappointing first rounders, but recently returned to the league with his successor and is doing great work the outlaws. Sabercats whiffed hard on him though back in S1, because of an unexpected turn of real-life events. It wasn't a bad pick on draft day for sure. Player name: Alex Thomas - username: @Pandar College: Michigan State University Position: OL Peak TPE: 141 - TPE Score: 1,41 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 7,41 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 74 - Change: -44 OL, but finally the one that stayed whole 4 seaons in the league! Trully amazing. Player name: Mike McNoodle - username: @TheLoopster College: University of Michigan Position: S Peak TPE: 81 - TPE Score: 0,81 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 7,81 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 73 - Change: -22 One more defensive back reach. Boooring. Player name: Reginald Hampshireton - username: @[dot] College: MIT Position: LB Peak TPE: 115 - TPE Score: 1,15 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 8,15 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 72 - Change: +11 MIT LB that was able to stay afloat in the league for 4 seasons with barely any improvement, degree was helpful it seems. Player name: Franklin Harris - username: @Apache_Chief College: University of Houston Position: DT Peak TPE: 330 - TPE Score: 3,3 Last season played in the league: S2 - Longevity score: 2 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 8,3 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 71 - Change: -54 These screams reach too, but I guess there is more to the story since he was earning a decent rate and decided to retire instead and recreate. Player name: Josh Bercovici - username: @Merica College: Arizona State Position: QB Peak TPE: 272 - TPE Score: 2,72 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 8,72 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 70 - Change: +26 Very active back in the day, but during las vegas legion days lowered down his activity and reitred in S3. Legendary #22for#25 performance will forever be in our hearts. Once again we approach the magical milestone. In this edition, we were able to finally see some decent players that ended their career prematurely, but in the next part, we will finally some players that survived until the regression took them apart. *S1 Redraft - 99-70 - White Cornerback - 01-25-2019 Quote:Was that that King?
