Deadline: Sunday February 10th, 11:59PM PST Trivia 1 will be posted tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay ![]() (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - ErMurazor - 02-04-2019 SHL (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - Leafs4ever - 02-04-2019 Every player always dreams about winning the Championship. No matter what sport, that is the ultimate goal. The one thing that every player envisions, along with winning the trophy, is the celebration that unfolds after. You think about your feelings, the parade, the pure euphoria of it all. Like everyone else, I imagine what I would do if I won the Ultimus Trophy. The one thing I always think about is the celebration in the locker room with all of my teammates. The celebrating would be absolutely crazy, champagne popping, music blaring, and just pure joy. After that, you have to hit up Disney World and lead the parade there. It's cliche, but who cares, you're a world champion. Next is probably the best part, holding a parade back home in front of all your fans. No one will be as exicted as the fans, and they'll shower you will love and adulation for the rest of your career. Celebrating the championship with them would be one of the best moments of my life. After all that celebrating, I can't wait to just go back home and share the win with my friends and family. Those are the people who sacrificed to get you to where you are so sharing this with them is something special. This is what I imagine whenever I think about finally winning the big one. (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - Bigred1580 - 02-04-2019 ![]() not my best, but I spent about 200 words worth of time on it. (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - iseedoug - 02-04-2019 Horne has been waiting for his championship chance, and this year feels like the year. Horne being one of the top players in the NSFL has spent most of his pro career out of the playoffs. Last season was his first trip to the playoffs, where he put up his worse single game performance in his career, although playing out of position on the Defensive Line. This year, Ben will be back on the defensive line, but this time he is prepared to make an impact, gaining 10 pounds, increasing his endurance, and working on DE techniques to complement his well-developed LB techniques. Despite being an under-rated player, playing on for a franchise that has overall been a losing team, Ben wants to stick around and end this drought. The city of San Jose and the long-time front office deserve a ring, and Ben wants to make sure this year is the year. If San Jose wins, Ben plans on spending the celebration with the fans: free autographs to anyone who asks, partying with the fans after the game, and plenty of interactions/selfies. At the end of the day, Ben has made it clear that he wants to play for championships, and at this point in his career, it is due. (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - PigSnout - 02-05-2019 Errol Maddox has already won a championship during his DSFL career with the Portland Pythons, but he aspires to win another one during his NSFL career with the Baltimore Hawks. This is a special team for Maddox as he is originally from Baltimore and played his college days at University of Maryland, so he grew up rooting for the Hawks. The opportunity to help bring a championship to his hometown would be very exciting. The Hawks were able to make it to the championship game during Maddox's rookie season, however they fell short and lost 48-24 against the Orange County Otters. The Hawks still have a very strong roster and should have another chance to contend for a championship within the next couple years. Maddox wasn't able to play too big of a role for the Hawks as a rookie, but in the coming years as he develops more, he should be able to play a bigger role in the future and hopefully help the Hawks make a championship run. It would be an exciting occasion for the Hawks to win a championship. They would get to have a big parade in Baltimore and celebrate with the fans and their teammates. The Hawks will use this dream as motivation as they hope to make this season their championship year. The very first thing I would do is obvious, celebrate with those who helped me achieve the ultimate goal, my teammates. Once that’s done I would give the press their due, then when that’s done, I would find my family. They are the other group that would have helped me get to where I am. All of that is fine, but the real question is how I will get there. As a player I feel like I have a few holes in my game. Coming into the league I was drafted primarily as a run supporting safety, and I feel like I have gotten away from that in the last couple seasons. I need to refocus, get stronger, and smarter. I need to spend a little more time watching tapes and learning how the league has evolved since I have joined it. Maybe that original role isn’t the one that is needed anymore, and a better-rounded, leader is needed….? In the end I think just getting better is the right answer. Making sure that every work out has a focus to it and to put my energy towards a specific goal and not just show up. (S13) - PT 1 - Champion Dreams - uncleleo#39;skomrade - 02-05-2019 After watching two major championships be awarded in the past couple weeks, Joseph Henry is ready to secure one of his own. He has dreamed about the day he raises a championship trophy for a very long time, and now that he is finally making his debut in a major football league he is ready to realize his dream. He has his celebration all planned out already to ensure that when it does eventually happen he will be ready to spring into action. It will start with the championship parade where he will definitely be showing off his dance moves. He practices in the mirror for 30 minutes every day to perfect them for the moment he gets to finally unveil them to the world. Then after the parade he will be jetting off to Disney World with his family because growing up he was the biggest Disney nerd. He doe realize that Disney World is usually reserved for the MVP or QB but he does not care at all. That is where he is going and nobody is going to be able to stop him at all. Now there is only one thing remaining to do, and that is secure a championship. |
