So I have fond memories of this league. Joined the site way back in the day in the early days while we were still setting up and getting everything good to go. This was after it had gone public on other sim sites, but before the first huge recruitment drive. After bugging Nuck a little too much, I ended up joining the banker team, update team and the recruitment team atleast for the firt recruitment drive.

My least favoite memory has to be that time when @adywer87 tricked me into joining the head office, telling me it was a fun time and all that jazz. It was horrible, I entered the office and half the chairs were broken, the coffee has a weird sour taste to it and I a copier was on fire and I am actually pretty sure it still is at this point in time.

I have also met a ton of great people through this place and it would take forever to keep everyone a shout out (also memory will forget atleast 90% of the people). Basicly anyone in the Hawks LR ever has been absolutely amazing. Together with tons of other people and I sure hope we can keep the league going for a very long time.

As most of you know, I'm a founding member of the SHL and that's where my sim league experience laid. However, out of curiosity, I decided to look into the NSFL because I kept seeing it being discussed in my SHL discord locker room. I had an itch to build a player from scratch again and wanted to try out a new sport. I examined the NSFL and thought, hell, why not, let's give it a shot.

The biggest thing that drew my attention to the league was the sim itself. I loved that you could actually watch the games being played and could see your player in action. That was a huge attraction. Now, I've been here for 5 and a half seasons and I'm really enjoying my time so far. In that time, my best memories have come in Season 9 and 10. In Season 8, getting drafted to Tijuana and winning the championship in my first ever season was awesome. However, in Season 9, my player took a huge step and my team remained dominate. In Season 9, we went back-to-back with Ultimini championships, I won DSFL wide receiver of the year back-to-back, but also won DSFL MVP. I grabbed every DSFL record that was available to wide receivers and left the DSFL as arguably it's best player ever. In Season 10, I was drafted first overall in the NSFL draft to San Jose. In my rookie year, I was elected to the ASFC Pro Bowl team and also won NSFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Those 2 seasons have been the highlight for me here in the NSFL, but I'm hoping to top all of those win a big season right now. San Jose is tops in the NSFL right now and no signs of slowing down. Here's hoping a big playoff run can give me my best memory yet.

I really haven't been a member of the NSFL for that long. Season thirteen is my third season, and first actually competing at the NSFL level. That being said, I wouldn't still be here if I didn't enjoy it. First off, I'd like to give a big shout out to my DSFL GMs, @nunccoepi and @iseedoug. Those guys were really great for the two seasons I spent in Tijuana and made the locker room a fun place to be. Both of them were always willing to answer questions or help in any way when I was learning the ropes here and I really appreciated that. Now, on to my time with Orange County. I've only been in the locker room for about a season and a half at this point, but these guys have been great. I'm not going to tag everyone here, because that would be annoying, but a few of you have been really great. That definitely includes @speculadora and @Trautner. Even though he joined PBE, I didn't really get to know spec until I came to the Otters, but he's been a huge help and just a great guy to chat with here. On the other hand, I've known Traut for a while because of PBE. He apparently put in a good word for me with the team that helped me get drafted here, and I'm grateful for that. Now that I'm an Otter, I can't really imagine being anywhere else. (Don't trade me spec. Ever.)

Oh man, where to do I start, honestly? I know, with a story. A few seasons ago, back when the NSFL twitter first started, I got a follow from a team in the Simulation Football League. Both me and Deathonreddit tried to check it out, and so with the help of other sim leaguers, my player was built. Holy crap did that league give me an appreciation for this one. Like, I don’t think anyone gets how crazy good the community and development is here. Yes, the SFL has the better sim, it is a better sim product, but the advantages really end and start there. Player progression for the SFL is showing up, and updating one skill by one point once a week, there’s no way to get ahead by being lucky (predictions and stuff) so teams that start strong either get lucky or continue strong, and the community is flat out bland. The team locker rooms feel stuffy and it feels like the sim being the best around claim honestly made it that much worse because it didn’t feel like there was a connection outside of it, and no real desire to, we were too focused on the sim, because we didn’t have a draft or budget, there was no allegiance to anything. I end with this, My GM in my SFL team and I were with each other for most of the regular season. After my player was created I never spoke to him or heard from him again. NSFL has the best community around.
