*Long time Sabercat Horne requests trade after Tag - iseedoug - 03-07-2019 Long time Sabercat Ben Horne requests trade after being Franchise Tagged. Following a 6 year stint with the San Jose Sabercats, All-Star Linebacker/Defensive End Ben Horne requests a trade. This trade request comes days after the surprising playoff loss to the Orange County Otters, where Horne recorded 5 tackles and 1 sack. Horne told the press outside of the San Jose Training Facility: “I have loved my time with the Sabercats and my teammates here, but it's time for a change. I have only made 1 Pro Bowl and played 2 playoff games, both of which were losses, in 6 years. I hold myself to a higher standard than that, and maybe I have let my teammates down with my mediocre production here. It's simply time for a change. I wish the best to all my guys in San Jose.
