*"Deep" Running Back Class - TomHanks - 03-10-2019

In addition to the press conference I have available, I felt it was important to clear up some rumours surrounding myself. The first, of course, is that of my intelligence. Given family history and my decision to exit college early, I can understand why people would be quick to assume the worst. My decision to declare for the draft early came from discussions with members of my family, close friends, and teammates. It was a difficult choice, but based on what I proved I was able to do in college, I see no reason why I shouldn't start my career as early as possible. My grades in school were solid, and it is my intention to finish my degree at some point in life. As for my grandfather, while his genetics have gifted me with superior speed and agility, but his mental issues were not hereditary. The second rumour have been doubts of my commitment to this league, given the several day long absence after creating a player, particularly in this crucial stage in the offseason, leading into the prospect bowl. I came down with the flu on the day of my draft declaration and focused on my health so that I would be as prepared as possible for the prospect bowl and the upcoming DSFL season. Now that I am feeling better, I will be a very active member of the league. While I understand questions surrounding this, especially this close to the draft with little time to prove commitment, I promise any team that decides to take me will not regret it.

Now that those problems have been addressed, I'd like to talk about the depth of this running back draft class. GMs and players alike have noted the talented backs entering the league this year. While there are a large number of backs, I am right at the top for speed and elusiveness already, with a good deal of training still pending. I was the spearhead of the Crimson Tide's offense last year, averaging 7.8 YPC, and showed flashes of brilliance in the return game as well my first year as a player. Coming out of this draft there will be no one who is able to move quicker, nor make more people miss than #44, F. Gump. I anticipate falling a bit in the draft due to my illness and slow start, but whatever team decides to take me will find themselves thrilled when I show I am the best back in this class.

Ready for grading!

You're right that this RB class is super deep. Not necessarily a bad thing though. GMs are going to be getting some later round steals and those guys are going to be given a ton of opportunities to prove themselves to the NSFL GMs.
