*Wraiths Ring of Honor - Daybe - 04-10-2019

"The Yellowknife Wraiths last season lost a legend. Dermot Lavelle was an outstanding leader in our locker room, the pristine example of an active, and the greatest defensive player to ever put on the pads in the NSFL. We will miss him dearly as he is no longer a part of our team."

"The process for this award isn't easy - the general managers and war room will talk among themselves. We have established our three key factors in deciding whether one shall receive the honor to be:

-Demonstrating exemplary leadership in the locker room.
-Demonstrating a clear commitment to improving oneself's craft through updating.
-Putting all these skills to use on the playing field, contributing greatly to the success of the franchise on the field

Those inducted will receive a custom jersey that reflects their service in the organization, as well as having their number retired permanently.

Without further ado, here is your Wraiths inductee!"

Dermot Lavelle, CB (S1 - S13) @White Cornerback

Dermot Lavelle was a stalwart at his position. While many other CBs came and went due to the occasionally boring nature of the position, Dermot stuck with it - and dominated. Mr. Lavelle holds the NSFL records for games (182), interceptions (57), pass defenses (249), PR yards (3452), KR yards (9093), PR TDs (10), and tied for first for kick return TDs (5).

He also has another record that is literally impossible to break unless regression changes - career Pro Bowls at 13. I'm second with 12, and after that nobody has more than 9. To get 13, you'd need to earn 300 TPE over max.

Yeah, I don't think anyone will ever get past it. Which is why it's interesting because I don't think anyone will ever play 13 seasons again. And to make Pro Bowl in each of them is insane.
