*Kroustis Unfiltered vol.3 - Air Crou - 04-12-2019 Well, here we are again with the 3rd installment of my blog. It is been long overdue, DSFL is already past Week 12 and the playoffs are near, so we got lots to talk about. Sit tight, grab a drink and a snack, and let's get to it. To start it off, I can't really say I am satisfied with how the season has gone. Personal statwise, 63 tackles, 1 TFL, 4 sacks and 1 deflection on a run-heavy league are OK for a safety. But when the team is sitting at a 5-7 record, while being on a 3 game losing streak, with only a win in the last 7 games against the last placed Kansas City Coyotes, personal stats and records are thrown out of the window. It is true that I will only play at worse one more season in the DSFL, but I just hate losing. I am definitely a sore loser. Good thing is, we have made the playoffs, where I believe we can pull off an upset. I mean, it is a single game. Road game, but we can definitely win. Even if we only have 1 win in 6 road games thus far. I really believe in my guys. But let's just take things right from the start. Week 1, we face the Coyotes. It is the opening game, we do not know what they are bringing to the table, we do not know what to expect. BOOM! 35-13 win! Weeks 2 and 3, same story. A tight 3 point win over Portland in W2 and a 25-7 blowout of the fellow expansion team, the Solar Bears. The first loss came in Week 4, when we played the Luchadores, last season champs. We knew they were a tough bunch, and it showed on the turf. Another win over the Coyotes in Week 5, 4-1 start for the Fleet! Hype started to build up. Then... Then it all went downhill. Road games, where we definitely struggled against teams like the Lucha, the Pythons and, of course, the best regular season team in the recent DSFL seasons, the San Antonio Marshals. One win over the Coyotes again in Week 9 over the next 7 games, and a 5-7 record is where we are standing at after 12 games. We got the Marshals at home and the Coyotes on the road to finish the season. I really hope we can get both wins and build some momentum heading into the playoff match against the Pythons, in Portland. It is a one off game, where anything can happen. But we definitely need some psychological boost after the recent slump of our team. I really hope I did keep you interested, I will see you all after Week 14! Peace! *Kroustis Unfiltered vol.3 - iamslm22 - 04-12-2019 Kroustis is a beast!! *Kroustis Unfiltered vol.3 - Air Crou - 04-12-2019 (04-12-2019, 07:25 PM)iamslm22 Wrote:Kroustis is a beast!!
