Tight End Rankings: Week 3 - Blake Bortles - 06-17-2017 [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Note: Week 4's Rankings will come out tomorrow![/div] Welcome again to the weekly tight end rankings. It's important to keep in mind that these rankings are based singularly on one thing: quality of play. Other factors, such as TPE are not taken into account whatsoever. Now, with that out of the way, let's delve into this rankings! #1 Break Bottles, San Jose SaberCats ![]() @Blake Bortles Break Bottles had a very good week in week 3 and set the NSFL record for the most yards by a tight end in a week. Nearly every single catch Bottles had went for a first down, and if the catch didn't make the marker it set up a short yardage situation. In addition to moving the chains with regularity, Bottles also blocked solidly, getting a pancake block. Bottles had a fumble early in the game, which may have set the tone for poor play by the SaberCats. Aside from that, Bottles had a great game, without a single drop. #2 Gabriel Tenzini, Baltimore Hawks ![]() @princekyle Gabriel Tenzini has been great for the Baltimore Hawks since he drafted them. He catches just about every pass thrown his way and sometimes makes big plays out of it. Most of Tenzini's catches in week 3 were 6 yards or shorter, but he still managed to grab a touchdown. One thing that Tenzini does well is catching passes in the end zone. His reliability makes him always a target when the Hawks are on the goal line. Tenzini blocked well, pancaking two defenders. #3 Ricky Maddox, Yellowknife Wraiths ![]() @SimmerDownBruhh Ricky Maddox has been consistently one of the top tight ends on this ranking, and that is primarily due to his proficiency in all aspects of tight end play. In week 3, not only was Maddox one of the top tight ends in yards, he was also one of the tops in pancake blocks. There was no sign of the mental lapses that Maddox has had in the past few weeks, as he only had 1 drop, and didn't allow a single sack. #4 Joseph Tkachuk, Arizona Outlaws ![]() @Theo667 It seems like Joseph Tkachuk is on a mission to prove that he is better than I ranked him in the previous ranking. Last week I said that Tkachuk was primarily a blocking tight end, so naturally, he would get 30 receiving yards this week. 2 of his three catches were first downs, and one of them was a large 16-yard play. In addition to that, Tkachuk managed to add a pancake block to his impressive array of sacks in week 3. #5 George Wright Jr., Orange County Otters ![]() @Player1 Not a strong week for George Wright Jr. in week 3, who had significantly fewer yards than in previous weeks, and allowed a sack. To a tight end like Wright, who prides himself on his blocking ability, allowing a sack is a huge lapse. In addition to allowing a sack, Wright also dropped 3 passes, which is just as many as he caught. Though this was not a strong game for Wright, I'm sure he'll use this to bounce back and play better. #6 Wren Piper, Baltimore Hawks ![]() @Bingbongday Not a whole lot to say about Wren Piper in week 3. In weeks 1 and 2, Piper's only impact had been through catching passes, but Piper proved that he can do more than that and knocked a few defenders around. Not an exceptional week, but two pancake blocks is nothing to scoff at. Baltimore is building one of the better tight end duos in the NSFL. #7 Rolf Larsendorf, Yellowknife Wraiths ![]() @HazardouSpork If I mentioned tight end duos, I have to mention what's been the best duo in the NSFL: Maddox and Larsendorf. Both tight ends are exceptional blockers and reliable receivers. Larsendorf has continued his streak of not dropping passes, adding his 10th and 11th straight catches in week 3. In addition to that, he reacted quickly to recover a fumble. Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for tomorrow's week 4 rankings! Tight End Rankings: Week 3 - SimmerDownBruhh - 06-17-2017 That one drop did lose the game for my team. ???? I have the worst luck. And with all of these drops I'm still in the top 5 for receptions in the NSFL. Lol It's something. ???? Can't wait for tomorrow, bro. I believe I'm making a jump. ????
