*Milburn and Douglas back to the top - iseedoug - 06-16-2019 The all-star GMs of the DSFL have made it to the top of the big league. Epictitus Milburn (@nunccoepi) and Icy Douglas are best known for their long term success as DSFL GMs, including a run of 3 straight Ultimini Championships and 4 straight Ultimini appearances. After a short hiatus to play baseball in the PBE, the duo decided to come back to the front office game, joining the NSFL’s Baltimore Hawks in S14. Milburn and Douglas, along with the player relationships built by previous Hawks GM Iam Essellemm (now owner of Sim League Management), flipped a 4 win team into an 11 win team in one season. The following season: a championship. Despite this impressive performance, Douglas says this is only the beginning of the duos big league success: “We are ecstatic to get this win early in our NSFL careers, but we were confident this was going to happen. In our first season, Epictitus and myself wanted to be very aggressive in player signings and trades to get the team to this level. And we plan on continuing this aggressive acquisition strategy, even throughout this expansion season. So, we are not done winning or being contenders.” This S15 championship win bring the franchise’s total to 2 champions, still a ways behind the Orange County Otters. However, if the past 2 seasons are any indication, the Hawks may be well on their way to catching up.
