*Drinking Purple Kool-Aid - woelkers - 07-08-2019 It is 8:39 PM Central Time, and I'm sitting down with a glass of freshly-made Kool-Aid to publish this new series of articles, letting you know exactly why your DSFL team has a shot at an Ultimini. We begin today at the top of the list, with the Kansas City Coyotes. Reasons to Be Excited: Kansas City has an excellent crop of wide receivers; Dexter Banks, J.N. Nova, and Max Lovote all figure to put in good work for the Coyotes, and whichever quarterback starts will be absolutely delighted with the options he has available to him. And, speaking of quarterbacks, Kansas City has options across the backfield; grabbing a quarterback and two running backs in this season’s draft means there will undoubtedly be competition at quarterback, halfback, and fullback. This offense is going to move the ball well, so expect high-scoring games from the Coyotes this season. Causes for Concern: The defense in Kansas City is, quite frankly, uninspiring. Behind safety Tyron Brackenridge and defensive tackle Brayden Ennis, the Coyotes should be worried about the work ethic shown by the defensive side of their squad at this point. Hopefully, the offense can score enough to offset the points the defense will likely allow. Players to Watch: • WR Dexter Banks II: Kansas City has several notable wide receivers (see above), but Banks figures to be the best of the bunch. He is easily the fastest and most agile of the Coyote receiving corps, and he figures to be a favorite target of whomever starts at quarterback. • S Tyron Brackenridge: Brackenridge looks to be the best defensive player for the Coyotes, and given unimpressive depth at defensive back, Kansas City will need him to perform early and often; whether he will adjust to making plays in the passing game as well as he does in the running game remains to be seen. • QB Jay Longshaw: As was previously mentioned, Kansas City has multiple quality wide receivers, meaning whomever starts at quarterback figures to have options available. The Coyotes did just draft LaFleur, and Lange offers serious competition, but Longshaw is my current favorite to start, and probably succeed. The Final Pitch: Listen. We know the defensive situation for Kansas City is far from ideal. But, at the end of the day, a team must rely on the talent available to it, and for the Coyotes, that means the best defense will have to be a good offense. You can expect fireworks from Kansas City all season, and what better reason to believe in a team’s ability to win the Ultimini? *Drinking Purple Kool-Aid - Rradum - 07-08-2019 Awesome series and great article! But only if it's him. DT gang rolls together. *Drinking Purple Kool-Aid - ScorpXCracker - 07-09-2019 when will the blue kool aid be drank *Drinking Purple Kool-Aid - ValorX77 - 07-09-2019 (07-10-2019, 12:53 AM)ScorpXCracker Wrote:when will the blue kool aid be drankExactly |
