Before he was swapped to a defensive tackle, before the Season 14 DSFL draft, and even before the 87 yard touchdown, Ryan Leaf Jr was the star quarterback at Washington State university. The year was 2025, Leaf just completed his entry exams and walked onto the gridiron, and put on his jersey, No. 16 just like his father, a bright future was ahead for the young gun in training. Briefly, The starting QB for the team was his future rival, Rose Jenkins, who led the team to a PAC-12 title a year prior, but transferred due to certain scholarship opportunities. Leaf quickly took the starting role for the Cougars, pushing them to a 11-4 season, and making them enter the Rose Bowl, in which they easily defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes by a score of 56-13, As Leaf threw for 642 yards and 7 touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown.
Scouts noticed the speed of Leaf and his ability to read the defense and determine what formation and play that they’re doing, and what Defensive Line threats were there. Eventually, An ACL tear would put him out for the 2028 season, but rebounded in 2029 when he won the Heisman Trophy after throwing for 6,000 yards and 75 touchdowns, both were NCAA records that were his to keep, and allowed to participate in the DSFL prospect bowl, and that’s where I’ll end the story.

Unlike most high end athletes competing in the NSFL and DSFL Mervin Leonard never attended college and was actually a high school dropout. Instead of going to college Mervin did what everyone wishes they could do and that's follow his dreams - and for Mervin his dream was to become a Subway Sandwich Artist. At the age of 18 Mervin drove all the way from his hometown of Tuktoyuktuk in the Canadian Arctic to Los Angeles, California - a distance of over 5700 miles - to pursue his ultimate dream. Unfortunately for Mervin upon arriving he applied for a job at three different Subway locations in LA and was rejected all three times due to "lack of job experience and lack of credible references". So, with his ultimate dream now dashed Mervin returned to Canada to play football or the Kamloops Broncos of the CJFL and fell in love with the game of football. Mervin then lived out the remaining years of his "college age years" working as a sheet metal roofer, crushing beers, ripping cigs and occasionally playing football before randomly one day getting a call from the Portland Pythons asking if he'd be willing to play for them for a salary of 5 Million dollars - Mervin agreed as 5 million dollars was more than the $18.50/hr he was making roofing.

Man, I had a blast in college. When we moved to Florida to pursue my football career, I knew that I wanted to stay in the state for college. Lucky for me, the Florida Gators saw something in me and they wanted me to join them. That was an easy yes. The campus was beautiful, the weather was amazing, and being a Gator was the best.

I worked hard during my time at Florida. We were a perennial contender for the national championship in my two years there. While we never made it to the big game, I did get to play in two bowl games. My first year we came up short, but my final year in Florida we played in the Rose Bowl and beat our rivals, Florida State. That was probably the best game of my career, as I put up 6 catches for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Off the field, I made some great buddies that I still keep in contact with. We would go to classes together, study together, and just hang out on the grounds, listening to music and eating. After big games, you'd have students come up to you, high-fiving and congratulating you. It was a great atmosphere in those years. I still follow the program and cheer for the Gators, even all the way here in San Jose. College was one of the best experiences in my life and still treasure those years to this day.

College was great, both academically and athletically. I am an academic at heart and very much enjoyed the learning aspect of college. I had a favorite lecturer and everything. Mr. Lampanelli, my Chem 101 professor always gave the most spirited lectures and, would often times, have jokes and little fun facts hidden within the lecture notes. He was also a Big Blue fanatic. He never missed a game, if he did, he would graciously ask me to stay a while after class and fill him in on how the game went. I was always happy to do so. The guy was a lot of students' favorite professor and I was no exception.

On the sports side, I couldn't have asked for much more as far as that went. I mean, I was a red shirt freshman on a legendary college football team. They were one of my top choices from the start, and when I saw they had interest in me, it was a no-brainer where I was going to end up. Yes, I had to bide my time, but I didn't expect much less from the coaches conversation with me and the knowledge I already had about the depth chart. My teammates were great and I had top notch coaches. I mean, c'mon it's Jim Harbaugh for crying out loud. I wouldn't trade in my time and experience at Big Blue for anything. GO WOLVERINES!

Corvo Havran loved his time at college and saves those memories dearly. Havran always had a affinity for History and enjoyed studying it at the Louisiana State University. Specializing in European and Asian history.

College also highlighted Havrans push to becoming the football player he is today. Starting of as a redshirt in his first season he learned the playbook, practised hard with the team and even got an opportunity for starting football when the former starting quarterback got injured. Stand out was his Senior season which has gone down as one of the best seasons by a quarterback in school history.

Havran was a driven college kid, between football practise and studying, he found it important to find time for social activities. Having a Magic The Gathering group he regulary played with and partying hard as college kids do. Havran would become known as the king of burgers after winning a hamburger eating contest which was held during one fo the summer cookouts.

At college he met his girlfriend and future wife and ended up earning his degree in European and Asian history. Which has opened a path that Havran is very intrested in exploring once his career settles. As he would enjoy it very much to become a history teacher.

Unlike a lot of players in the NSFL and DSFL Ennis came from a school that had never made the Top 25 in nearly 50 years. The University of Wyomings golden days we’re back in the 1950s where they made multiple great bowl games. In 2025 Ennis committed to his home states only NCAA Football Team as their first 5 Star Recruit. Such a commitment put Wyoming on the map for the first time since the Josh Allen days with the NFL. Ennis’s first game where he was really noticed was Week 4 @ #13th ranked Purdue where Ennis recorded 13 Tackles, 5 Sacks, and 1 Fumble recovery in the 23-13 win. Ennis continued to dominate his Freshman season where he made the NCAA All Freshman Team At DT#1. Throughout his Sophomore season he led the NCAA in sacks and one the NCAA’s version of Defense Player of The Year. In his Junior year they started out ranked #25 and were projected to easily win the Mountain West. Ennis’s final game would be his toughest against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl where Ennis would play his best with a Bowl record 6 sacks and 18 Tackles. Ennis would immediately declare for the DSFL draft after being invited to the league
