*NSFL Season 17 Mock Draft - TubbyTim69 - 08-12-2019 With the draft only being a couple days away, I took the time to write up a little mock draft. Here it is: 1. Copperheads- Needs are RB, TE, FS Pick: Ashley Owens - San Antonio RB The copperheads desperately need a RB. Lucky for them the best overall player in this year's draft is just that. Ashley Owens is the obvious choice here. Owens put up impressive numbers this season in San Antonio going for 1328 yards on 267 Carries. He shared time in San Antonio but expect him to carry the work load in Austin this upcoming year. 2. Colorado Yeti Needs: DT, CB, K Pick: Bubba Thumper DT The Colorado Yeti need help primarily on the Defence. Here they fill a big need at DT with the selection of Bubba. Thumper finished the season with 32 Tackles, 6 TFL, 1 FF and 2 Sacks. They get a hard nose player to be the face of that Defence for years to come. Thumper can stop the run and get to the QB on passing downs. 3. NOLA Needs: TE, WR, CB, SS Pick: Jordan Andrews CB NOLA gets the best CB in this draft and immediately fill a void. Andrews has been the best CB of this class all season long. His shut down abilities and nose for the football have been damn impressive. 74 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 2 INTS and 11 PD. 4. Baltimore Hawks Needs: DT Pick: Brayden Ennis DT Hawks add a key peice to the defensive line with Ennis. Ennis took on a lot of double le teams so his stats dont really pop out but he does the dirty work and he does it well. Even with the double le teams he still manages to get to the football and make plays. 28 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 1 Sack. 5. San Jose Sabercats Needs: WR, CB, Pick: Dexter Banks II (KCC)WR Huge playmaker here for San Jose. Banks slips a little bit in the draft due to other teams having needs elsewhere so San Jose Benefits. Banks is the best reliever out there right now and hes only going to get better. He was the top reciever for KCC this year piling a stat line of 74 Catches for 985 Yards and 6 TD's. And that's with a mediocre QB. Expect Banks to be a potential ROY candidate at the end of this season. 6. Yellow Knife Wraiths Needs: RB, CB, LB Pick: Honda Edmund LB Wraiths have a whole in the middle of their Defence and boy did they just fill it. 49 tackles, 1TFL. Nothing eye popping but his ability to catch up to plays and cover field distance quickly makes him an appealing prospect. 7. Orange County Otters Needs: CB, WR, TE Pick: Tyrone Brackenridge Saftey Ok no the Otters do not fill a need eith this, but if you're picking #7 and a guy like Brackenridge is still available you're taking him. Brackenridge is the #1 player in the draft however due to team needs he drops a bit. Dont be surprised if a team sees him available at pick 5 and trades up. Brackenridge finished ished with 57 Tackles, 2 sacks, 2 INTS, and 3 PD'S. He was by far the best player on the Coyotes Defence. 8. Copperheads Team Needs: TE, FS, Pick: Mervin Leonard CB Copperheads get help in their secondary. The secondary is pretty Impressive already however, adding Leonard adds depth and helps with a NCB. Leonard is the #2 CB coming into this draft. Leonard finished with 56 Tackles, 1 TFL, 4 INTS and 15 PD'S. 9. Philadelphia Liberty Team Needs: RB, CB Pick: Julian McMorris A bit of a stretch pick here but the Liberty get to add depth to the CB position. The former reciever now CB McMorris, wont be a day 1 starter in the secondary but he could step in to a possible Nickle Corner position. His speed helped him lock down Recievers in the DSFL this year. McMorris finished the season with 35 Tackles, 2 INTS, and 8 PD's 10. Arizona Outlaws Team Needs: WR, FS Pick: Saba Donut WR First you can expect the Outlaws to try and move up to get Dexter Banks II but if they dont they can grab Donut here at 10. Saba had 45 catches for 566 yards and 5 TD's. Not quite a deal threat but Donut is a great route runner and can make any sideline catch. Expect him to contribute immediately. *NSFL Season 17 Mock Draft - caltroit_red_flames - 08-12-2019 Pretty sure every team has needs at OL, might wanna fix that *NSFL Season 17 Mock Draft - Bigred1580 - 08-12-2019 Nice write up! Fair *NSFL Season 17 Mock Draft - Sweetwater - 08-12-2019 Quote:6. Yellow Knife Wraiths What now? YKW RB combined stats from this season 1200 Rushing Yards 11 Rushing TDs 1100 Receiving Yards 9 Receiving TDs Total 2300 Yards 20 TDs We're a pass first team, so that's a solid all purpose showing, all things considered. |
