Erasmo Broadway Scouting Report - evryday - 05-19-2017 [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Erasmo Broadway Scouting Report[/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Bio:[/div] Height: 6’ 4” Weight: 260 lbs Handedness: Right Position: Tight End Number: 80 Hometown: Chicago, IL Arm Length: 35 ¼” Hands: 10” Bench Press: 22 reps 40 Yard Dash: 4.52 sec Vertical Jump: 32.5” Broad Jump: 126” 3 Cone Drill: 7.55 sec [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Strengths:[/div] Speed - Erasmo has great straight line speed, especially for his size. He ran an unofficial 40 time of 4.52, which is comparable to guys who weigh 20 or so pounds less. Once he gets his mass going, he’s hard to stop. Hands – He has super soft hands and great hand-eye coordination. He has the ability to catch practically anything thrown his way, regardless of coverage. The ball hits his hand and sticks limiting the number of drops he’ll have. Also, his catches matter, 77% of his career receptions at the University of Notre Dame went for first downs while another 11% went for touchdowns. Strength – Has the ability to manhandle smaller defensive ends at the line. Also has the ability to power through weaker tacklers at the second level. His 22 reps at the combine was towards the top of the list at his position. Excels in man coverage due to his ability to push past the bump and run and put on the burners to get into the secondary in a hurry. [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Weaknesses:[/div] Agility – He’s not going to make anyone miss with a juke or spin move. Lacks the ability make sharp cuts and turns which impact his ability to run clean routes or avoid defenders. Blocking – Not called upon to block in college, Erasmo never learned technique, instead relying upon his natural strength to make blocks. This will not work in the pros and is definitely an area of concern for him moving forward. [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Overview:[/div] Projects to be an explosive tight end for a pass-happy offense. Isn’t going to be opening up any holes for the running game at this stage in his young football career. Has a big frame with a lot of potential to become an equally skilled blocker as he is receiver with some work. Considering the lack of prospects currently at the tight end position, Broadway should hear his name called sooner rather than later in the inaugural NSFL draft. Has slightly more speed than Gabriel Tenzini (the only other tight end prospect at this point) but lacks the field awareness and game smarts of Tenzini. It seems that work ethic will be the deciding factor for the position this year. As a QB, this report makes me excited in several different parts of my body. I like how he's huge and fast at the same time. Not a huge fan that he's a Notre Dame guy, but I wouldn't hold it against you. Your concise writing style was nice and left me wanting more. Short and sweet. |
