Week 7 - vs Norfolk 1Q - 6:12 - Pass Incomplete intended for L. Branders - Broken up by Purchase To nobody's surprise, Purchase gets his hands on a lazy throw by Harding. Purchase is currently tied for the league lead in pass breakups with 10. 2Q - 13:24 - Pass Incomplete intended for L. Branders 3Q - 3:32 - Pass Complete to L. Branders - 11 Yards 4Q - 8:45 - Pass Complete to L. Branders - 13 Yards 4Q - 6:43 - Pass Incomplete dropped by L. Branders 4Q - 1:45 - Pass Complete to L. Branders - 18 Yards If there has been one Achilles heel for Purchase this season, it has been receivers playing tough and physical. As we have seen a few times, Branders boxes out Purchase, who then struggles to bring him down for several yards until help arrives 4Q - 1:06 - Pass Complete to L. Branders - 8 Yards Summary Traditional Stats: 3 Tackles, 1 Pass Defended Coverage Stats: 7 Targets - 50.0% Target Rate (Targets/Plays in Coverage), 4 Receptions, 50 Yards, 0 Touchdowns, 0 Interceptions, 79.5 Opp. QB Rating When Targeted Analysis: Seemingly a solid game for Purchase, until you notice that he actually allowed the majority of Norfolk's passing yards, as the SeaWolves could only accumulate 83 yards through the air on 7 completions. Teammate Juan Marston was the real star of the show in this game. Week 8 - at Portland 1Q - 13:55 - Pass Incomplete dropped by S. Donut 1Q - 13:50 - Pass Complete to S. Donut - 10 Yards 1Q - 0:29 - Rush by P. McTaco - 8 Yards - *Forced Fumble* *Fumble Recovery* Run support has hardly been Purchase's strong suit, but once again shows he has a nose for the ball. This is the league leading second forced fumble and fumble recovery on the season for Purchase, to go along with his league leading interception total 3Q - 13:49 - Pass Complete to S. Donut - 15 Yards 3Q - 12:07 - Pass Incomplete dropped by J. Watson 3Q - 12:01 - Pass Complete to J. Watson - 7 Yards 3Q - 1:13 - Pass Incomplete dropped by J. Watson Purchase gets a couple of lucky breaks with some unfortunate drops by Watson in the third quarter. Summary Traditional Stats: 4 Tackles, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Fumble Recovery Coverage Stats: 6 Targets - 31.6% Target Rate (Targets/Plays in Coverage), 3 Receptions, 32 Yards, 0 Touchdowns, 0 Interceptions, 66.0 Opp. QB Rating When Targeted Analysis: Another seemingly solid performance, but the fact of the matter is Portland simply did not need to throw the ball much, as the ground game got the job done. Season Coverage Stats: 67 Targets - 30.9% Target Rate (Targets/Plays in Coverage), 36 Receptions, 469 Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 5 Interceptions, 54.9 Opp. QB Rating When Targeted |
