Chicago Butchers Co-GM Press Release - Jiggly_333 - 09-23-2019 After taking a long time away from the game, I’ve made the decision to return to management positions within the NSFL. It’s been about 12 seasons since I last held a position (almost 2 real life years) and I felt it was the right time to come back. I’m coming back with experience, with knowledge of what to avoid, and with new help. As you are all probably aware, the GM who brought me in, FlyEaglesFly, has announced stepping down in order to explore new opportunities. This isn’t too much of a shock to me as I was made aware of this long before I accepted the job. Now that I am once again in full control of a team, I can understand anyone’s apprehension to this situation. I know that I can say honestly that I’m pretty scared about this too. Though it has been a long time, the memories are still fresh. Being left with an empty locker room all alone is exactly what pushed me away in the first place. This time will be different. I will now introduce as the Chicago Butchers’ new Co-GM: @Toasty I already have a very good relationship with Toasty and his was the first name that popped into my head when faced with the task of searching for a Co-GM. While on the outside, it looks like me just bringing in a friend, the biggest reason that I wanted to bring in Toasty was his knowledge and expertise with the sim. I’ve seen him previously working with the Orange County Otters and learning under the legendary timeconsumer on how to create the best builds and best strategies. He is honestly a prodigy and I’m so happy to have him around to help with the strategic and numbers-based side of the game. As for me, I will hold firm in the conviction that the best team in the NSFL is not just a team that wins the most, but a team that has the best locker room. I’ve said many times in my previous jobs that I want to build a family in my locker rooms. I’m now faced with a very familiar situation with a severe lack of activity in a locker room. My own goal this offseason is to sign free agents that want to talk and interact with eachother. I want to bring together a community. I want to make sure that those who come to Chicago feel safe and get help with any problem they have, whether it be asking Toasty for help with their build or asking me for just general advice. We want to be more than a team.
