S17 ULTIMUS WEEK!!! - ValorX77 - 09-23-2019

4. The National Simulation Football League Playoffs were extremely unpredictable this season, especially in the National simulation football conference, where two teams who achieved 8 and 5 records will face off for a chance to play for the Ultimus bowl, the league’s prestigious championship. I’m going to analyze the matchup between the quarterback of the Baltimore Hawks, and the Yellowknife Wraiths “Northern Wall” Defensive line. The hawks Quarterback is Corvo Havran, taken second overall in the season 14 draft, the Wraiths Quarterback was taken a pick before him. Havran has been a driving force in the Hawks offense, With elite talent left and right, with guys like Sunnycursed and Earl Maddox catching absolute missiles and some running back named Dorfus Jimbo who is easily the league’s worst running back (Scorp Sucks Lmao). On the other side of the ball, The Northern Wall stares down on Havran, with Guys like Ryan Leaf Jr, Nero Alexander, Luke Smyles, And Zach Skinner staring into the soul of the opposing Quarterback, and preparing to stop any plans for a long drive to their endzone. This line sacked the opposing QB 25 times, and has been crucial to shit down elite run games like that of the Butchers and Sabercats.

6. The seventeenth season of the National Simulation Football League was a wild ride for every team, but one team in my opinion, one team has the greatest chance to secure the bag, The Yellowknife Wraiths. We may have a slightly worse record from last season but do not let the record of this team fool you, the Wraiths are almost the same exact team from last season. Cooter is once again the gun slinger the Wraiths need, throwing deep missiles left and right when needed, 4 elite receivers catching the ball like Josh Parker, Nate Swift (BigRed is always watching), Tommy Helanen, and yes, a Running back in Jerrod Canton who’s actually primarily used as a receiver, which is an interesting move that could revolutionize the game we call simulation football. The running game is pioneered by Morgan Marshall and the Said Canton, punishing opposing defenses.
The defensive side of the ball is another key aspect to the team, with the Northern Wall of Leaf, Smyles, Alexander, and, Skinner slaughtering opposing quarterbacks, Snuggles and Brown deflecting your passes, Grithead Being the all around versatility the Wraiths team, and Selich punishing opposing run games and deflecting all your hopeful passes, Do I have to say more? See you at Ultimus.

11. The trade deadline is usually quiet in the National Simulation Football League, But this season was much different than years past, with many teams either buying or selling to secure a chance at the Ultimus, the league’s championship. One of these trades was between the Baltimore Hawks and the Orange County Otters, where the hawks Sacrificed Yulic Nagasawa and Corey Trevor with a First round pick, to get a third round pick and the Ultimate prize, the league’s number one receiver, None Sunnycursed, a staple in the otters pass attack since he was drafted in season 11. Sunnycursed is almost indirectly the dictionary definition of elite, strong, fast, and smart, just as your typical National Simulation Football League player would usually need. Now a staple in the Baltimore Hawks passing game, with a much more experienced quarterback in Corvo Havran, Sunnycursed is well on his way to a possible Wide Receiver of the year award if he keeps up his work load, even a possible Ultimus. This trade took the league by storm, as some called for the league to strike the trade down, as it was deemed “one-sided” by some opposing general managers, the hawks will be tested on Monday night when they visit the Wraiths.

20. The playoffs are finally here, Wait, are you telling me a week of the playoffs have already happened?!? I’m surprised by that, let’s review the National Simulation Football Conference Wild Card Game. The Aviary, Baltimore Maryland, a sold out crowd of 100,000+ crowd the stadium, prepared to watch a slaughter of what used to be an expansion team, in this case, The Butchers Of Chicago Illinois, both have an 8 and 5 record but Baltimore won the tie breaker on a better conference record, so did the Wraiths, but this time they got a first round bye, but we do not care about them, now let’s get back to the wild card game, the final score is.. uhh a blowout?!? 40-6?!? Is this the fifteenth Ultimus Bowl again?!? I’m not a big fan of one sided games, because it can lower a team’s morale. What happened was Chicago could not get their elite running back Sam Torenson going, the Hawks defense was on him all day long, Kazimir Oles struggled to gain any yardage, as most of the passes were either deflected or the worst case scenario, getting intercepted, the reason the hawks won this game is because they shit down the Butchers offense.

3) All about the QBs
Written: Write 200 words on one of the QB matchups in this year's playoffs. What are you most excited to see (Or excited to have seen), who will play better (Or who played better), etc.

The most exciting quarterback match up in this year's playoffs had to be the one that happened in the NSFC conference final. The Baltimore Hawks at Yellowknife Wraiths matchup. S14 first and second overall pick Cooter Bigsby and Corvo Havran duking it out. Both top earners of their class and both great overall players with many great years to come.

At the end of the regular season, Corvo and Cooter tied for touch downs, both threw 31 touch downs on the year which was good enough to get a tied first place finish in the league. Cooter had more yards and interceptions, while Corvo led in all other stats, completion percentage, QB rating and longest throw.

This playoff game was shaping to be a great showdown between these two legends in the making.

In a tight game we saw both quarterbacks have a great game. Cooter finished the game with a 24/44 attempt completion stat line, threw one touch down and had a QB rating of 88.7

Corvo finished with 21/36 completed, three touch downs and a QB rating of 113.3

Good stat lines for both, but Corvo did excel in this very close win. Hopefully this is a preview for many more matchups in the future.

12) Sit-down with a star

Interview with @Toasty

1. You had a tough lose against the Hawks in the conference final. What are your thoughts on this game?
I really dont have many thoughts on the game it was sad to not to go out on top with an ultimus game so I hope my former team can pull a win out of their ass without their star WR.

2. The Wraiths are a strong side and only improving, going into next season I can see it being your goal to focus on reaching and winning the cup, tell us about how you feel about this upcoming season?
I feel like becoming the Co GM of Chicago I am paying less attention to the Wraiths playoff hopes next season to just trying to get us to the playoffs nect season.

3. Looking back at your career as Mason Brown what were the high points of it?
The high points of the career was actually my time at MLB and SLB and then when i switched to Safety my career took a shit.

4. Are you looking forward to your new player?
I am looking forward to having a career of my lifetime

1. Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
The conference match up between heated rivals San Antonio and Tijuana was a sloppy defensive affair. The game had a total 13 penalties for 104 yards and a whopping 7 turnovers. The Marshal's grabbed an early lead that they held late into the second quarter. Tijuana had driven to the redzone with roughly 2:30 left on the clock when they turned the ball over. This seemed to swing the momentum heavily in San Antonio's favor and would put the game out of reach, but a clutch interception return for a touchdown by Wayne Howyanow gave Tijuana the lead that they did not forfeit the rest of the game. The league best duo of Ruff Ruff and Hanyadi was absolutely stuffed the whole game by Thudd Kassel and company. With the running game not getting the normal results, SA had to turn towards the air and the nasty trio of safeties on the back end for Tijuana shredded any chance of McMahon throwing them back into the game. On the offesnive side of the ball Donut and Osborn grinded the clock out behind the great wall of Tijuana and do it all Fullback Fuzzy Dotson. Tijuana advances to the Ultimini to take on Portland.

12. Sit-down with a star
Stacy Stanbul here with Baltimore Hawks running back Dorfus Jimbo for a pre-conference championship interview.

SS: You're playing in the conference championship for the first time in your career what does it feel like to still be in the race for the Ultimus?
DJ:
Quote:It's really exciting. The idea of finally winning a championship just sounds great. It's also ready nerve wracking, that anything you do could cost your team the loss and knock you out of the playoffs.
SS: Baltimore made some big trade moves at the deadline including picking up veteran star Vander Jones. As Baltimore's bell cow all season long, what effect did getting only 9 carries to Jones' 21 carries in the playoff game have on you?
DJ:
Quote:It was kind of disappointing to not be able to get the carries, but first and foremost i'm always for the team first, and if the coach thinks that VJ getting more touches helps the team out more than i'm all for it
SS:What edge do you think the Hawks have over the Wraiths in the upcoming matchup
DJ:
Quote:I think our ground game is definitely better with me and VJ rushing, and the Wraiths aren't doing themselves any favors with that trash RB they use Morgan Marshall. Our wide receiver core is also miles ahead of them
SS:You sound pretty confident. One last question Dorfus. Why is Forrest Gump the greatest S15 running back to ever lace them up and why do you idolize him?
DJ:
Quote:Who?

14. That Magic Moment
"Jay Cue lines up in the shotgun at the Portland 31 with 2 minutes to go. It's looking like Portland might drive it into field goal range to get a shot at winning this game. Cue snaps the ball! Cue drops back, scanning right, Bailey and Howyanow have Donut locked up, MASTERS IS GOING TO SA- WAIT CUE BREAKS FREE AND SCRAMBLES BACK TO HIS LEFT! FULLBACK STRIKE IS OPEN IN THE FLAT AND CUE THROWS IT TO HIM......INTERCEPTION!!!!!!LOPEZ STEPS IN FRONT OF THE BALL AND STEALS PORTLAND"S HOPES AND DREAMS LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT! TIJUANA IS GOING TO WIN THE FOOTBALL GAME!!! TIJUANA IS GOING TO WIN THE FOOTBALL GAME! THE LUCHADORES HAVE DONE IT! BACK TO BACK ULTIMINI CHAMPS!" Seeing that red and green confetti get blasted into the air after the final kneel down was surreal. I ran and hugged Coach Scorp and told him "You dont suck today!" After that myself and the whole team dog piled Lopez. All the grinding, blood, sweat, and tears were validated the moment we lifted that trophy in the air! At the same time a little bit of sadness hit me. I realized that I wouldn't take the field with most of these guys again and that they might be opponents the next time we are on a field together. But for now, we are a brotherhood, a brotherhood that came together and worked to the ultimate DSFL achievement. I don't think I will ever forget this moment.

S17 ULTIMUS WEEK!!! - illegaloctopus - 09-23-2019

Playoff Predictions, Reviews:

Written: Give a short write up of one or multiple playoff matches. If completed before the airing of the sims have predictions, after if it is a review of the game.

Review:Butchers v. Hawks (Hawks Win: 40 – 6)

This first round playoff game saw the Chicago Butchers play against the Baltimore Hawks. This game promised to be exciting, with Chicago being a successful new team, while Baltimore looks to cash in on their Ultimus window. However, the game would never be close, as the Hawks would go up 26 – 3 at the half. While the Hawks took their foot off the petal in the second half, the game would end 40 – 6. The Hawks dominated on both defense and offense. Chicago would go just 4 / 20 on third downs, and have less than 300 total yards on offense. They would average 5 yards a pass and 3.3 yards a rush. Baltimore on the other hand would go 3 / 13 on third downs, while averaging 7.5 yards a pass, and 5 yards a rush. Chicago did manage to lead the time of possession that was not able to help them. Havran did throw 2 interceptions, but that was not enough to help the Butchers overcome the Hawks. Hawk RB Vander would rush for 100 yards and three touchdowns, showing the importance of Baltimore’s midseason trades. Jimbo would add another 50 yards and a TD. Maddox would have a good game at WR, going for 113 yards. For Chicago, RB Torenson would reach 75 yards on 20 attempts while WR Oles would reach 86 yards receiving. The Hawks managed 4 sacks, while Chicago managed two.

2) Underdog
Written: Write about one of the away teams in any matchup and explain why they can win. Must be completed before the sim.
The Tijuana Luchadores are preparing to go on the road to Portland to compete for the Ultimini. They are a definite underdog, and just 2 games previously had lost in Portland by one score. However, this game is not a sure victory for the Pythons, as Tijuana has a great chance of upsetting the arrogant snakes. Last time Tijuana played Portland, Python QB Cue threw 3 interceptions, a poor performance from him. If the Lucha want to win the Ultimini, they need to continue to punish Cue for his mistakes. Cue has been one of the top QBs of the DSFL, and the strong Lucha secondary need to take advantage of any mistakes he makes. The Lucha also need their own QB McCann to limit his own mistakes, as he threw an interception last time they played. If McCann can limit his mistakes, and the great duo of Donut and Osborn can show up, Tijuana should have a great chance of upsetting the foolish snakes. The Lucha are lucky that the snakes have a shallow receiving group, with Donut and Snake being the only dangerous threats on the receiving group. The Lucha need WR Jake to continue doing what he does best, making drops. The Lucha need every advantage they can get in this game, as they look to avenge their previous loss.

Rivalries

Written: Write about another team and why they are overrated and why you want them to lose.

The Portland Pythons finished their season 11 – 3, cruising to an easy 1st place finish in the NFC North of the DSFL. They won each of their preseason games, and started the season 4 – 0. They seemed invincible. However, this is not the case. The Portland Pythons are overrated. The Portland Pythons had the best Points For / Points Against in the DSFL. The Portland Pythons had the best record in the DSFL. Their QB tie the record for TDs. Despite all this, they are overrated, and will fail in the playoffs. Why is this? This is because they have Jake Dropson on their team. Jake was a second round draft pick who was immediately traded from Tijuana to the Pythons, but to Portland’s detriment. Dropson would have only 449 yards and 6 TDs. In the Pythons’ biggest game of the regular season, he only had two catches. When Jake challenged by Tijuana safety Joseph Wozniak he declined to release a response until his team had won the big game. Perhaps Jake is only willing to trash talk when there is no risk of being exposed. It is Jake’s chance to prove his doubters wrong in the playoffs, but there is great doubt if he will be able to contribute to his team.

14) That Magic Moment

Writen: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch.

One magic moment of the Tijuana Luchadores playoff run was Wayne Howyanow’s pick – 6 against the San Antonio Marshals. The game had promised to be a good one, as Tijuana and San Antonio had already played a hard regular season series against each other, with Tijuana taking it 2 – 1 -1, however San Antonio’s sole victory over Tijuana was a crushing victory. During the second quarter the Luchadores were already down 10 – 7, but they were driving down the field. The Luchadores utilized their strong running game during the drive, as they at one point rushed 7 times in a row. The Luchadores converted 3 third downs during the drive, getting to the redzone, at 1st and goal. On the 16th play of the drive, on 3rd and goal, Louisiana Purchase intercepted a McCann pass to Bender Rodriquez, a crushing blow for the Luchadores. However, the Luchadores hopes were not dashed, as just three plays later safety Wayne Howyanow intercepted a McMahon, and returned it 29 yards for a touchdown. The Luchadores would reclaim the points that they had surrender on the endzone interception. While the Marshals would be able to score a field goal before the half ended, the Luchadores went into the second half up 14 – 13. The Luchadores defense would tighten during the second half, holding the Marshals to 3 yards, while the Luchadores would score 10. Winning 24 – 16, the Luchadores would advance to the Ultimus, and San Antonio would have their hopes crushed again.

S17 ULTIMUS WEEK!!! - hihihi_62 - 09-23-2019

1) Playoff Predictions: Kansas City vs THE Portland Pythons. Well ladies and gentlemen come one come all for a rematch of last years conference final. Last season the Pythons snuck out the victory at home to buy themselves a ticket to the Ultimini and unfortunately for Coyotes fans I predict this year to be much of the same. The Pythons were the toast of the league this season finishing with an 11-3 record while the Coyotes snuck into the playoffs with a sub .500 record of 6-8. During their two matchups this season the Pythons cruised to easy victories of 38-0 and 28-14. Kansas City is running into a bit of a buzzsaw here and although anything can happen I predict a Pythons blowout victory at home. The Pythons had the #1 defence and #1 offence in the DSFL this season and MVP favourite Jay Cue has been on FIRE. Kansas City features returning superstars Dexter Banks and Jay Longshaw on offence but the Pythons defence lead by yours truly is just a different animal that will have no issues shutting down the coyotes offence. I expect the Pythons Defence to force a number of Coyote turnovers and the electric offence to capitalize on said turnovers. My prediction - 35-14 Pythons.

4) Head to Head Matchups: I featured this matchup in my Ultimus Week writeup last season and considering we are crossing paths once again in the divisional round tonight it is only fair that I cover this matchup once again. Mervin Leonard CB for the Portland Pythons vs Dexter Banks WR for the Kansas City Coyotes. Last season I pegged this as a pivotal matchup heading into our playoff game mainly because although Mervin had a defensive player of the year calibre season last year Dexter Banks gave him headaches every time they matched up. Well, fast forward to this season and Banks is still the toast of the league at the WR position but unfortunately for him Leonard has had his number to this point in the season. Over two matchups Leonard has held Banks to 8 catches for less than 100 yards and 1 TD while deflecting the ball 3 times. That is a far cry from last season when Banks put up over 100 on Leonard in each game during the regular season. There is always fireworks when these two matchup and that rivalry is sure to heat up tonight as these two go head to head for a shot at an Ultimini berth.

6) Our Time: This Ultimus Week topic seems personally made for the Portland Pythons. The Pythons have been to the show the past three seasons but have lost it the past two years to those losers out in Tijuana. Well, the Pythons have retooled and look more ready than ever to take home an Ultimini this season. After last seasons heartbreaking loss in the Championship the team had to say goodbye to its GOAT QB Franklin Armstong and many thought this would be a rebuilding year. Much to the chagrin of the rest of the league the Pythons picked up soon to be MVP Jay Cue to replace Armstrong and the Offence lead by SabaDonutMan has been more explosive than ever leading the league in points per game, total yards per game and passing yards per game. On the defence the Pythons have been lights out holding opposing teams to 14 points per game and leading the league in every category. The secondary is absolutely terrifying lead by Mervin Leonard and AC Payton and the D line lead by Trae Bacon has been terrorizing opposing QBs all season. The Pythons are coming into the post season with the leagues best record, number one offence and number one defence so anything shy of a championship will be a disappointment. This is OUR time.

8) Draft Focus: The Portland Pythons are heading into a very interesting offseason. The team has been to the past three Ultimini games and looks to be heading there again this season lead by young Rookie Stud Jay Cu, but the team is also about to lose a whole lot of talent in the upcoming draft which leaves a lot of question marks for trade extraordinaire SabaDonutMan. The team will be losing Saba at WR, Mervin Leonard at CB and AC Payton at Safety just to name a few. Each of these players are absolute studs and will need to be addressed come draft time. Saba did make a trade for Jake Watson at WR this past offseason and as long as he stays down should be Jay Cue's number one target next season. Defence wins championships and for this team to continue to succeed they will need to address the defence early in the draft especially in the secondary with Leonard and Payton heading up to their NSFL clubs. Call me bias but #1 priority for the team in my eyes is snagging the next great CB to fill my void in the secondary and then a DL to either play alongside Trae Bacon or to replace him if he goes up to the NSFL.

S17 ULTIMUS WEEK!!! - Opera_Phantom - 09-23-2019

6) Our Time
Written: Why should your team be looked at the favorite to win the Ultimus or Ultimini this season.

Looking at the regular season results, no way in hell can anyone who follows the DSFL daily say the the Portland Pythons are not the complete favorites to win in all this season. We ended with 11 wins and 3 losses and got the #1 seed and home field advantage for the playoffs. Highest scoring team, least scored on team. We lead the league in almost every category, so we are ready for the playoffs. But we know that, even after all this so called domination, the game as a certain amount of things that sometimes do not make sense, and strange results happen. But after last years heartbreak, we feel like this is the perfect season so far to get and Ultimini to Portland. Every team is now stronger than when we faced them in the regular season, and it all starts in the conference final versus the Kansas City Coyotes. We had pretty easy wins against them in the regular season, 38-0 and 28-14, but now in the playoffs things are different. Morale is different, and I'm sure they intend to be the ones to kick out the Ultimini favorites. Everyone wants that underdog story, but it is up to us to deny them of the opportunity.

10) Rivalries

Let me start by saying that i know what you are thinking. What I'm going to say is pretty obvious, but sometimes you have to repeat the obvious: Tijuana sucks. They do. And big time.
We also know that, by default, everyone who sets foot in that locker room starts to suck right away. I do not know if it is the air, or the fact that they have to wear those hideous shirts, but it happens. And now they want to play the Ultimini with us. What for? We are the number one team in the DSFL this year. Why do we have to host a team that got into this game using pure luck as a tactic? The fact that they even got to the playoffs just because there were 2 expansion teams makes a mockery of this game. They managed to scrape an unfair win versus the San Antonio Marshalls, but luck will not help them against the mighty Pythons. Week 7 game was a fluke, and we are going to prove that again when we face them in the final. And I am not even going to talk about their QB, because it would make me completely sick. All i can tell you is: Pythons will win, Tijuana will lose and keep on sucking for a lot of seasons to come. No hard feelings.

I had a little chat with the amazing Maurice Virtanen!

1) How do you feel about your first season on the game?

I feel really good! The season started on a good note for me personally and I was really flying around racking up tackles, but it didnt really show up in the win column. Now I feel we are more balanced as a team and I've been able to grow during the season and become a more rounded player that is able to take the next step in my development and really take it to the next level

2) Any prediction on the Ultimus and Ultimini Champion?

Oh man, on the Ultimus my brain is telling me to say Arizona. They are the defending champions and had the best regular season record but my heart is telling me Baltimore, so go Hawks! For the Ultimini I think that if we are able to beat Portland then its Kansas City but if that fails then Portland will win it

3) The NSFL draft is almost here, what's your expectation for the rookies?

Oh it totally is! I feel that we are a really great class that will eventually take the NSFL by storm in a couple of years. I feel that there will be a lot of defensive players taken in the first round but there will definately be steals in later rounds, I hope all the rookies find a great place for them in the NSFL

4) Any teams where you feel you would fit in on your first NSFL season?

If i had to choose some teams then from what I have seen so far it would probably be Austin, Orange County or NOLA. Austin because I have had chance to see their locker room game and it is on point so I would be natural fit there. For Orange County and NOLA, I see them as young teams looking for the future and a place where my skillset could be useful

S17 ULTIMUS WEEK!!! - Murtsi - 09-23-2019

1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
Written: Give a short write up of one or multiple playoff matches. If completed before the airing of the sims have predictions, after if it is a review of the game.

Otters @ Outlaws

This is a match-up where I think all the odds are stacked against the Otters. It is not helped by the fact that the Otters sent away a few offensive pieces to Baltimore at the trade deadline. They might become a team feared in the future, but that meant that they lost weapons that they could have used in this match-up. Both teams have had stellar play from their defense this season, which actually surprised most people about Arizona. Given that the defenses will most likely cancel each other out, the deciding factor will be on offense. Outlaws quarterback Andrew Reese has shown no signs of age slowing him down, leading the league in passing yards and an overall potent passing offense. With Vinny Valentine, Landers and Jammerson Irving he has a lot of choices who to throw to and add in dual threat running back Slim Shady who has almost 1500 all purpose yards, this is an offense that will score points and have scored the most throughout the regular season. The Otters will have to hope that the league's best running back, Apollo Reed is able to step up his game to a whole new level and have contributions from wide receiver Hugh Mongo and tight end Jonny Blaze to stand any chance of keeping up with the Outlaws. In the end I feel like the Otters defense will struggle to keep the Outlaws from scoring points and their offense will struggle to keep up. This is in addition to the fact, that the game is player in Arizona which means that this will be a blow-out for the Outlaws. 31-10 for the Outlaws

2) Underdog
Written: Write about one of the away teams in any matchup and explain why they can win. Must be completed before the sim

It feels weird to talk about the Baltimore Hawks as an underdog in this match-up, but they are playing away from their feared Hawk’s nest and have the number one seed Yellowknife Wraiths as their opponent. If you were to tell me the Baltimore team that started the season would be in this match-up, I would have had a hard time making the argument for them, but oh boy are things different now. With their huge moves they made at the trade deadline, their offense has gotten a lot scarier. With the additions of superstar wide receiver Sunnycursed and high calibre running Vander Jones, they’re offense has been operating on a whole different level and it shows as they are 3-1 since the trade deadline. I think there will be two key elements that will contribute to Baltimore being able to upset the Wraiths. The first is that the Wraiths rely too heavily on star quarterback Cooter Bigsby and their main running back, Jerrod Canton is utilized more as a receiver. This leaves them without a consistent running game and against such a potent attack they need to be able to chew the clock in key situations. The second element is just the overall level of the Baltimore offense. With a strong duo in the backfield and three different and very strong receivers to cover, the Wraiths will not be able to stop them all. This will enable Baltimore to score enough points and come out victorious

Written: Interview a player from a team that is not your own that is in the playoffs! You must ask them four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way

Had a chance to sit down with Jay Cue @Opera_Phantom

1) How do you think your first season went, what were the high and low points?

I think it went great, way better than I honestly expected. From what I was told before creating my player, i would struggle a lot because of the low ratings, but i got really excited when I started seeing that i could make plays and throw some TDs (and INTs as well lol). It all came together Week 13, when I had an awful game but we still won, meaning we got home field advantage for the playoffs. The low point had to be our last game of the season, where we had an unexpected loss vs PB and i could not beat Armstrong's Passing TD record.

2) Do you think the Pythons will be able to win the Ultimini? If not, who would you rather win it?

Reaching the playoffs as #1 seed, after the regular season we had, there's no way not to consider us the favourites to win it. But, as we saw in week 14, even if a team is heavily on top on paper, it can still lose. And if we have to lose, I hope KC goes all the way and gets the Ultimini for the NFC North.

3) With the draft approaching, where do you see yourself going and if you could choose a landing spot, where would you go?

It is hard for me to have the full idea because I'm probably playing the position that no team needs. So I believe the draft will see me fall down the order as teams will go for players that may solve their immediate needs. But I'm about to reach 250 TPE and I'm counting on staying on the DSFL another season or 2 banking TPE.

4) The S18 class has been a big one, who do you think will be the big stars in the future and who have been the best ones to hang out with?

I mean, I have a lot of fun in discord, because there's a lot of players with unbelievable potential. I'm not gonna name anyone in particular, but I honestly hope we can keep being active and having fun on the game.

1) Interview With A SuperstarBig GrinylanDeluxe (Thudd Kassel)

[Ennis]
“Question 1
So you just came off of a Ultmini victory against Portland, how did the atmosphere feel during the game, especially later on?”

[DD]
“I think the entire feeling of the crowd and game was electric. You could just feel it in your bones with every major momentum swinging play. Down in the 4th I don't think I've ever felt as on edge”

[Ennis]
“Question 2
The Portland GM was a rookie gm this season and led his team to a loss against you, what words do you have for him and his future?”

[DD]
“Saba is a great young talaneted GM and I don't think you can overlook the fact that he led his team to double digits wins and an Ultimini appearance. I think some people get the vibe that he is cocky but I think it's just confidence and the competitive nature of him. I look forward to matching up with him next season”

[Ennis]
“Question 3
With the NSFL Draft just a week away, where do you think you will go based on your talents and needs, and where do you want to play your rookie season”

[DD]
“I think it's pretty understood that I'll go in the first round but nothing is a given so I won't count my eggs before they hatch. I'm just glad to see my hard work hasnt gone unoticed. I'll be happy with whatever team has a solid plan in place for what the future is. No preferences at this point but I'd love to play with some of my Tijuana Teammates.”

[Ennis]
“Alright last question,
Earlier In the season there was some controversy about you wanting to join Portland because of one of your gms, what made you have a change of heart and stay to lead Tijuana?”

[DD]
“Oh I don't know if anyone ever took that too serious and If they did they don't really know me. I just like to keep my GMs on my toes and get their blood going everyonce in a while. Tijuana will always be my first home no matter what.” Thudd lifts up sleeve and reveals Tijuana S17 Ultimini tattoo

[Ennis]
“Thank you for your time in this interview and good luck in the draft.”

Interview with a fan: CLG (Mathias Henyandi)

[Ennis]
“Question 1
You had a one two punch running back strategy where you were the second punch, effecting your stats. Were you happy with that strategy and do you believe it effected your draft stock at all?”

[CLG]
“1. I was actually somewhat angry at first, but after the first few weeks and seeing how effective both of us had been in the running game, I was overall pretty happy with it. We had near identical stats in the end anyways. I don't think it really hurts my draft stock at all, I still think I can be a feature back, but maybe it has in the eyes of the GMs, I dunno. We'll have to see.”

[Ennis]
“Question 2
Do you believe that your team the San Antonio Marshals was an underperforming year, or a year that was expected of the team?”

[CLG]
“2. Underperforming year, absolutely. We had the talent to be first in the division, no doubt about it. We definitely had the talent to make it to the Ultimini. Unfortunately, we just couldn't win when it mattered most.”

[Ennis]
“Question 3
Where do you think you should go in the draft and if you HAD to pick a team what team would you want to get drafted by?”

[CLG]
“3. I think it all depends on what the teams want to do. I could see myself going anywhere from the late second round all the way to the early fourth. If I had to choose a destination, I guess I'd like to go to Yellowknife. They seemed really eager to have me and there's a lot of potential for me to become their featured running back.”

[Ennis]
“Final Question
Is there anyone in the league that you feel gave you too much trouble in this league that you want to prove yourself too?”

[CLG]
“Individually, no. But Tijuana gave San Antonio's running attack in general a LOT of problems. I'm hoping next year, if I'm sent back down into the DSFL, I can be more successful than last year against them. Otherwise, I proved what I needed to, I proved I can run with the best backs in the league.”

[Ennis]
“Thank you for taking the time to be interviewed”

Task 3Tonguelayoff Review

The DSFL Playoffs this season had the same teams playing in the same stadiums with a lot of similar players on each team, from a basic point of view it was boring to begin with. With Tijuana taking down San Antonio and Portland easily taking out Kansas City we had the exact same DSFL Matchup as the S16 Ultimini, but this time Portland has home field advantage. The game started out with a quick 10-0 lead going out of the first quarter with advantage going to Tijuana, what would happen the rest of the game could be argued with being extremely boring yet extremely exciting. After a 10-7 score Portland was in position to kick a field goal to tie the game but ended up kicking it wide left. When Portland actually managed to kick the field goal they so desperately needed, The Tijuana Luchadores has scored another Touchdown making the score 17-10 after Portland’s completed field goal. He would also miss an extra point for when Portland needed it most making the score 17-16. With time running out Portland had one last drive to win it and with it all ending Quarterback Jay Cue threw the game deciding interception giving Tijuana back to back Ultimini victory’s

Next Year:
Both of my teams either didn’t make the playoffs or couldn’t win a playoff game. And both have amazing potential for a playoff run in s18. The New Orleans Second Line are a very young squad with another season of multiple first round draft picks and after this offseason of major development we should see the new S18 rookies glide peacefully with the vets and sophomores of the team like Bjørn Ironside. People like him will be able to complete with the rest of the team and still be in major development. If all goes to plan then there is a chance NOLA goes to the Ultimas in the next season or 2. Now my other team which I help out in the war room with, Kansas City Coyotes. We’ve had two seasons of being above average and we are ready to step it up. With an early 1st round pick and multiple great defensive players who may potentially decide to play another season in the DSFL along with veteran offensive stars we could easily become the next Tijuana and win back to back Ultminis. I live in teams with arguably the most potential in the league and are waiting till next season to strike and win a championship
