Draft Pick Clarification - ADwyer87 - 09-24-2019
Hello all,
There have been many people asking about the three way tie between the Philadelphia Liberty, the Austin Copperheads, and the Colorado Yeti, and asking how it will affect the draft order. As stated in the rule book:
Quote:1.1. The tiebreaker system for draft picks is as follows: Playoff berth>Head to Head>Conference Record>Point Differential>Coinflip
The head to head record between the teams are as follows:
Colorado Yeti - 2-1
Austin Copperheads - 1-1
Philadelphia Liberty - 1-2
So, with this information, the draft order will be as follows:
1. New Orleans
2. Philadelphia
3. Austin
4. Colorado
5. San Jose
6. Chicago
7. Yellowknife
8. Arizona
9. Loser of Ultimus (obviously Orange County)
10. Winner of Ultimus (obviously Baltimore)
To avoid any confusion with this rule in the future, we have added the following clarification to the rule book
Quote:1.2. In the case of a tie between three or more teams, head to head refers to the overall head to head record between all teams

the real thing was that a three way confliction of information on an expectiation of a two way system of information caused a problem with a rule used in a three way level of conflict on a rule based on two way conflict resolution

Basically the rule isnt made for this situation. Did Dwyer clarify and give us an order? Yes. Is that fair? Yes. Is the rule still bad and need to be fixed? Also yes
after talking with some people this is the correct conclusion to the issue. People got fed different information by gms and instead of giveing the ho the benifit of the doubt they decided to get angry as does s18 has done when its confused and confronted by people of authority.
